Anyone who reads this... Lots of great stuff on this guy's website. I don't have much free time, but a lot of it that I have? I've made a point to go there and expand my knowledge base in construction and the why & how's of how antennas work.
The little things make a big difference.

I have been wondering if the whiskers on the antenna would work better if the were continuously connected instead of the standard fork ends ??? From a strength point of view a continuous one piece loop would be stronger. What do you think Mike ??? Thanks for your guidance fella.

For whiskers build them like shown, don't try to close the V.
A closed loop interrupts the oscillations within the element allowing continuous flow. It's not a loop antenna.

@@cosmicantenna9244 Thank you again Sir. I will have the best antenna made. I plan to use all copper for the elements. Bronze wire screen that I have to solder together. Aluminum for the backbone. Stainless steel for all the fasteners since there is no issue with corrosion. Finally the insulators will be nylon for long life and strength. Peace Michael and God bless too. vf
