I cried when you showed Titania's Palace. My mom took me too see it in London in 1974. I have collected miniatures since that day. I still have the gifts mom purchased for me that very day. Oh how I fell In Love with my birth place. I was brought to America at 6 weeks old and have lived here since. I am blessed, but often pined for the country that was never mine. Thanks for the memories.
I know where I’m going tool shopping, next time I’m in the Netherlands. Never understood why my sister was so enthusiastic about those shops, but now I do!
Hahaha! Yes, this one has a lot of the basic stuff for good prices. But therein lies the danger 😂 I didn't notice them while I was in the shop but on my own video I saw corner clamps as well so the next time I'm in the area I'll get those too. 😆
Thank you so much!! 😊 Yes, Denmark is a lovely country, nice people, great food and of course the classes and the gathering of so many miniaturists is great fun!
You're most welcome. Some people have a natural talent but it is amazing what everyone can make when they have good teachers!! Slow and steady gets the work done 😉
You are simply Amazing. I am so happy you touch so many people with your teachings, hard work and Loveliness. I wish you safe travels and great adventure. Tour Sub in Oklahoma, Barb.
I would love to travel to these classes, your videos are the next best thing, so a huge Thank you for your time to edit and share. The finished works show why classes are important. You done an amazing job creating out of clay, the bread came out really good, it all did but the grapes and oysters stole my heart, overall it looked like an oil painting. Enjoyed 🍇🦪🍎
Thank you so much! It was my pleasure. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. You mentioned oil painting...Jeanie said that she used a Dutch still life as inspiration for this class. I'll also be using a Dutch 17th-century still life as an inspiration to make a little display in one of the rooms in my canal house. I want to use some silver, maybe some flowers and of course the polymer clay pieces I made in class.
The association must come from a while back. When I was younger I was a companion to a feisty 91yr old lady who was a writer. Her house was incredible. To the point, she had a painting on her wall of grapes and fruits etc, that piece of art was so realistic every time I visited I'd go over the work in awe. I always had my head in an art book, don't know much about art just adore some finished works, I look on miniatures with the same eyes. The display does sound fabby, and I am sure it will be.
Love your polymer clay oysters. The entire project. Hope you can show some video about what processes you learned. Thank you for sharing the show. I loved the pictures of all the projects because it's easier to see verses live video. Oh Pretty please show How youll do marquetry! Your such a good teacher. I have books on it but few video examples on miniature marquetry available, if any.
Thank you Tara! It was so much fun and I learned so much. I don't know about showing the polymer clay processes, I'm not really the right person to show that (although who knows I may buy some polymer clay and start making things in the future), but I can show how to do marquetry. It was one of the first classes I took back in 2005! The marquetry master Barry Hipwell was my teacher back then. Although I am no expert at this, I can certainly show you how to do it. You will have to wait a bit though, as I have several other things (and videos) to do first. 😃
You are amazing! I can only guess at how much work you put into MIT before it started! And you may be a slow worker but what you produce is always perfection. Thank you so much for your video, taking us along.
Thank you so much! Yes, it's a lot of work. Preparations for 2024 already started months ago. But it is fun and worth it! I'm glad you liked the video. Thanks Linda!
Some of the students and I were talking about how wonderful it would be to invite people who can't afford it over, all expenses paid if we win the lottery. Who knows, maybe one day! 😃
Thank you for sharing your hard work in organising the event, your talent and the obvious enjoyment of all the participants of the workshops. So much fun and learning going on. Now that is what I would call a dream holiday! You probably need some down time now Josje.
@@coby9896 You're welcome Coby. It was a great week and we're already working on next year's MiT. But yes, you're right, I need a little time to myself first. 🙂
Thank you for making the video and for making MiT possible. I really had a wonderful week, met a lot of so nice people and learnt a lot. So looking forward to next year :)
It was our pleasure Cecilie! It wouldn't have happened this year without the help of the students, teachers and the Kursuscenter. So thank you too! It was lovely meeting you and I look forward to seeing you in Tune again next year. 😃

That is such a beautiful memory! Emotions are so complex, and amazing that just seeing something can trigger that memory and bring out the tears. 🤗

Those are wonderful experiences and memories! Art can have such an impact, even unconsciously, on how we look at and see things around us.
