The packaging was incredible! That's a sign of people who care about the company they work for and it's also that they have pride in themselves.
Absolutely man; I wanted to show that for that very reason!
I think it's awesome your recognizing it more as a community and opening your platform to others with the call in video advice, it could be astronomical and I think man people would love to help make content and help others avoid generational problems and such!
Thank you bro! It is definitely a community; I am humbled every single day with the kind DMs and comments I get from subscribers such as yourself; I hope one day to be able to get everyone together for a large riding/party/event; it seems like this group has so many great people in it.
Thank you for watching during this pandemic; you guys ROCK!

Michael Sabo what was da cost
What was the turnaround time on the vapor blasting?
@@a.dizzle2130 I just looked it up it's about $160 for the bottom end.
Michael Sabo thanks for making these awesome videos 🤙🏽
@@GlynGBryson8965 thank you for watching bro! I appreciate the feedback 👊
That Process is awesome all the parts are brand new now
Good job port matching and surfacing the cases love it!!!!
Michael, I'm on about my 4th time watching this video. I'm FINALLY redoing my 85 ATC 250R motor and I'm having the cases vapor blasted because I'm inspired by how nice yours came out. Thank you for putting out the content you do sir!
Princess quad.😄😄😄
Can't wait for this build to b done bro!!!!
Badass man! Glad she's all coming together nice and smooth. Looks awesome!
Thank you TSR!
This is me waiting 😂🤣😂
Those cases came out amazing! What a great job!
Thank you man!
Those cases are looking awesome!
Thank you bro!
Can’t wait 👌
Beautiful work sir!!🤘🏻🇺🇸🤘🏻
Thank you Jordan!
I powder coated vapor blasted and anodized various parts on my YZ 125 it came out trick!!!!!
When port matching, you need to figure out how much the crankcase gasket squishes down to when tightened and then shim the 2 case halves with feeler gauges...Then match up the spacer to the cylinder base/case to get the best simulation on port match flow.
That makes sense; mine will be slightly off with the gasket in there. Thank you for the information man!
Wow I like that! So much nicer than my glass bead blaster. So less aggressive than glass etc. Very nice
Awesome video bro I can’t wait until the finish build...them cases looks amazing
Thank you for watching bro!
Let's get it done🤗🤗
Yeeeee 🤘
You’re a perfectionist! 💯👌
i LikE iT!!
love the content, thats such a good feeling when you get all your rebuild parts, almost riding season.
jennifer bradshaw yes it is! I’m doing a sick 85 rebuild right now waiting for a gasket and seal now 😁
Thank you Jenn!
@@twistedjigco.548 how did it turn out?
Badass!
Cool to see the oem bearings and gaskets instead of a wrench rabbit kit. The only thing I can recommend are the seals on the 2 transmission bearings. On my CR250 I took them off because they will get more oil. I think that honda the part number of those bearings is for many other applications. I just think it will help oil the bearings better. Everything looks awesome and the vapor blasting is a 10/10.
Interesting Nick; I wonder if you're right with taking the oil seal off of the trans bearing would make a difference; it would make sense.
Michael Sabo yeah I thought that it wouldn’t hurt anything and it would only benefit them. On my CR250 it was restricting oil to the clutch arm bearings.
Woah! That Vapor blasting process is unbelievable! Cameron is awesome! He is a great Human being. Excellent work with the Dremel tool smooth looking transition. It's really important to do that correctly. Thanks for using HONDA OEM PARTS. There much better than after market parts. Nice work!
Thank so much for watching; yes Cam is the man!
@@MichaelSabo I'm really enjoying your channel. Can't say enough good things about him.
The CT can is too iconic NOT to run on a 250R. You made the right choice
I got to say your right the ESR silencer looks like a better piece with the seals in side it but I have always thought they look out of place on a 250r......too modern for my taste. I love the look of the CT with the turn down but then again that's my 2 cents! Just like my LED Silencer they sent one without a turn down and I emailed Arlan about it and he said send it back and they will gladly put a turn down on it!! Love that look on a 2 stroke!
100% true; the turn down is just such a classic look!
looks better than factory.looking good
my buddy has a full ct on his 660 raptor. Shit sounds epic!
If it comes with stickers it’s good stuff.
100%
I love your videos man I’ve been watching before 1k subs. I think you should do a 400ex build after the 250r. Everyone has them and I think you would gain lots of subs from it. I have a 465 stoker that’s built to the max. The only part stock on it is the frame. I love them there fast when you build them and handle great.
Thank you for watching my videos and for the suggestion man; a lot of people have been asking for a 400EX; they really are awesome platforms. It sounds like you build a badass machine!
Honestly you deserve a 100k subs I've been a fan for a little over a year and loved seeing the 250r, raptor and the yz450 builds do you think you are going to do a 450 quad build
Wonderful
To who ever donated that silencer your awesome an it looks bad a**
[No good deed goes unpunished]
I agree man!
I use my 3d printer to print custom bearing and seal drivers. PETG is a good filament to use since it's less likely to crack if you need to tap it with a hammer or use it with a press.
That's a great idea.
michael love your vids
Thanks as always Kalel!
I love 2 strokes
Highly recommend using some three bond on that base gasket. These R's love to to blow out on the left side. Little three bond and she wont pop anymore.
I might go ahead and do that; thank you Cody!
@@MichaelSabo No problem, can't wait for more vids man!
Liked and subscribed.
Thank you bro!
O mai gad dad biutiful greit yob
Can't go wrong with either silencers
Try to put the CT end cap onto the ESR silencer.
DUDE! I was literally thinking this exact thing!!!
Dude I just got soo lucky! They are 20min away from me!
Thought the case was going to fall off the bench when opening package
Where was your second actuator needle bearing, only seen one go in.
Run the CT silencer
What media do they use in the bead blaster?
Michael, im restoring an 85 250r, when i put the stator side oil seal in the crank became super hard to turn over, is this caused by it being pressed down farther than the 6mm?
another trick for bearings are throwing them into your freezer overnight and they pop right in 9/10 times
Do you have a full detailed rebuild for this 250 rebuild?? You should make one with a CRF250R motor so I can do mine with you 🔥
It will all be in the playlist "Project 250R" on my channel! Thank you for watching man!
How did you end up getting the stuck transmission shaft out of the case?
Heat and a hammer; it was seriously stuck lol
Are you running the base spacer to raise the exhaust port timing? Do you machine the top of the cylinder or are you using another?
The spacer plate raises everything to accommodate for the stroker rod. This is the way the 250R guys do it apparently as opposed to running a longer cylinder or machining the dome. It's the setup the ESR recommended.
@@MichaelSabo okay! Thanks, I see 🙂
how do I get him to redo the 88 I just bought 🤔
Like the ct I have a Paul turner fat boy 2 with turn down and how do I try to be on bike of the week?
Shoot me a DM @michaelsabo350 ; Sometimes I take a while to respond!
Hey Michael! My location metal supply sells precision flat peices of 1” thick aluminum for cheap approx 18”x 18” .. grab some for decking these parts
Thats a great idea; thank you Ethan!
Name of metal supply place?
It’s called Alro Steel. A very large chain. Another option is to buy a cheap surface plate.. you can get one for about $50
The clutch cover still for sale
where did you order your bearing for the bottom end ?
OEM Honda from DBC_Racing
I've been wondering this since I've been watching and cant stop noticing it. What is that line on your bicep about?
Stab wound brah lol. It technically is; just a nasty scar from an accident.
@@MichaelSabo ah ok
What is anti fade
Damn bro no grease on the bearings after u put em in? 🤷♂️
yoiu need big balls to do this lol
I heard you say you vapor blasted your banshee I was wondering how much that costed you?
Shoot a message to DBC Racing on their instagram @dbc_racing; it is generally around 135 for a bottom end but it differs based on the model and the condition you send the cases in.
Yoo great videos but could you leave some muscle for the rest of us lmao built like a beast
Haha, thank you my dude!
you didn't replace the lower clutch arm bearing?
I was told it was no longer available; so I cleaned and re packed the one I took out. However, after searching on my own, I believe you can still get them new from motosport.com and I would have definitely done this. It's in good shape at least.
@@MichaelSabo search BORE offroad if you decide to change it. We keep them new in stock. NTN, same as OEM. Build is looking good.
I wouldn’t trust myself changing anything with those cases
Ai uant mai blaster motor laik dad
Both of those silencers are useless anywhere in Michigan except for track use. They are not spark arrested and they will not pass a sound test.
what does your wife say when you use the oven and freezer to put atv parts in there? do you just do it while everyone is asleep?i got caught putting some bearings in the freezer and got screamed at lol
LMFAO!!! The parts have to be super clean and then they dont stink... no one even knows... til they watch the video lol
Those are not Phillips head, they are JIS screws
unit
6 or 9 foot pounds
FWIW those screws aren't actually philips they are JIS.
Removing skid plate can ruin both parts.
The cr is nicer looking
Sorry I have to add that a wodden bench IS NOT a perfect surface! He is sanding on an incosistant surface and he is not rotating the parts, so if there is a highspot in the table he is contacting it in the same area on the case and most of the metal is being removed at that high point. Also a figure 8 motion is best. IMO you would be beter off skipping this unless you have an actual Lapping Block. Try some red grease or machinists Bluing Paste and put a very light coat on the surface of one case half and bolt the halfs together and take them back appart and look at the contact print left on the dry half, this will show you IF there are any problems. If you feel you need to do this, Engine/transmission rebuild shops, Hydraulic shops, Macine shops should have Lapping tables or benches. they are surface ground perfectly flat. If you choose to do this as shown in the video color the area you are going to lapp with a magic marker to show your progress and rotate the part 90 deg. every few strokes to make sure the work is done evenly. One other thing 350 grit will cut aluminum pretty quickly. Keep in mind that this surface is keeping oil in and on many engines there is no gasket to allow a few thousanths of an inch inperfection, they are metal to metal with a sealant like Yamabond 4 by Yamaha. One more thought is that in a very extreme scenario if you did this too much and caused a miss- alignment like the parts not mating tight with out bolts, binding and warpage will happen when bolting it together causing stress on all the internal parts, Could cause missed shifts and premature wear.
This is true; I now use a piece of granite to surface my cases. I did check to see if my slab of bench was flat when I was using it and I got lucky I guess because I've never had a leak but you're definitely correct.
Ct racing better looks nice to
