I found your channel a bout half a month ago, and I have never made my mind to subscribe faster then this. Your channel is amazing and way too underrated for your content. Keep on going man, your gonna make it big one day.
I wish this video was around when I was a kid. My brothers and I unalived a bunch of Venus fly traps over the years. Mostly because we never gave them moss and tried to feed them our fingers.
Your dry humor is exactly what I needed today 👏 🏆 I don't even know why your video showed up in my "new to watch" playlist, but I don't regret it. And I'm already watching the 3rd video.
This randomly popped up on my Home Screen, so I decided to watch. Glad I did! 😊 I really like how you made the terrarium look (I may try this for some of my plants) and I was especially interested in the fact that it was a Venus flytrap. I had one and I looked online to see how to care for it. The only thing I can remember that’s important is that if one of the little mouths is closed and there’s nothing in it, that’s not good if it doesn’t open up again. I tried my hardest, but it died and it never suggested the fly I fed it 😔
In Cali many yrs ago I was able to keep a Venus Flytrap alive for yrs[after several attempts]. It grew in regular potting mix& clay pot. Grew almost a foot! Moving to AZ my roommate bought it from me, was worried it wouldn't survive the trip. I loved that plant! I've tried so many times since and they always die. You say use rainwater, where do buy that? In Az it doesn't rain that much. Just LOVE your jar ideas!
Another memorable video from the master of moviemakers. May I just say, sir, your video has changed my life. I now never look at moss the same way. Your inspirational handing of it has greatly affected my life. Damn, was trying to sound like you but it just didn't work...much like ur mum!!!
Youre so funny! I wish to see one day what youre project look like now. Like an update on youre animals and plants. Thank you so much for youre videos you light up my days
I literally found your channel half an hour ago now I'm the first view on your video 😂! Love your videos by the way, really makes me want to start my own ecosystem!
I just caught on to ur channel and love ur dry synicle humor my guy!!!! I intend to try something like this soon. (( probably not the whole feed a fly trap my finger thing...but the ecosystem in a jar thing))) GOD BLESS U BRO
I enjoyed this video. It was quite well done and the witty comments were pretty funny. Venus Flytraps have always fascinated me. I think I read somewhere, that the "traps" have little "trigger hairs" and a certain number of these hairs need to be triggered before the trap closes. Pretty ingenious, isn't it?
I have a few alternate title ideas to get you more views: Don’t call VENUS FLY TRAP at 3:00 AM!! (Summoned the dead) HME pees outside on camera!! (Gone wrong) (cops called) A guy on RUclips risks HIS LIFE for SCIENCE, what happens next is shocking This is why you NEVER touch grass (Important life lesson) I look forward to being hired as your manager
That looks wicked!! I was curious why the box was so big - is that a stick or was your new carnivorous plant happy to see you? :P Really wish I'd done this with mine when I first got them.. maybe I'd still have them! Keep up the awesome work, since finding your channel I always look forward to your uploads after work.
Thank you! When I get enough cool footage to make an interesting video. For now they are still in the tube so not much is happening with them unfortunatly 😅
I have one of these in a pot I don't think I'll be uprooting it to make this though this looks v good my one was dying a while back the stems where turning black very quickly then someone who knows about plants said to leave it outside and it started to thrive its now bigger than it ever was before
I had two flytraps in pots that were doing great and survived two winters. Then I had the bright idea to move them into bigger pots, because they were growing so much. I killed them. I regret it very much
Bro watching you assemble a tiny ecosystem isn't as boring as you think. In my book it beats Sports, News, Movies, TV, and civilization in general😊
Thank you!
bro risked his pinky for views, respect you 100%
lol, it was nearly gone !
Fr
Not for views, but for SCIENCE!
And also killed his planks probably cuz they didn’t get energy from it
It wouldn't do anything I've done it its fine

The first video I saw was the ant colony one a month ago. Every video is funny and truly entertaining
your content is sometimes funny with your voice 🥹
I wish this video was around when I was a kid. My brothers and I unalived a bunch of Venus fly traps over the years. Mostly because we never gave them moss and tried to feed them our fingers.
lol
same I had like 2
How can you kill something by giving it moss? We all know that moss is life.
I was curious about ant colonies, found your channel and fell in love with the content.
Thanks for making me laugh, keep up the good work. 👍🏻
Glad you like it!
@@HomemadeEcosystems yes. How are your ant colonies doing?

I think the shape you made is called, "cirtangular". Like, for real. I know, I didn't believe it either, I had to look it up.
You should consider yourself lucky that you kept the finger, I once lost 3 hands to one flytrap
Although they weren't my hands, i still lost them
😂
bb ejd
Hey they still yours if you own them 😂 how you obtained them is another question 😂😂😂
There was one of these plants in my class when I was in fourth grade. Every kid was putting their fingers in when the teacher wasnt watching.
That's why you all got hepatitis.
I just love chilling to your videos, they're sooo soothing. Great voice and humour 😁
Glad you like it!
I found this channel a few months ago and I love watching this type of video keep up the good work.

Take nothing but pictures "and moss" that got me 😂

i love your videos so much man keep going! you also inspired me to make my own tiny garden (don't worry i added moss)
Great!!
"I put my finger in a carnivorous plant"
The girl named "A Carnivorous Plant": 🤤🤤🤤
🤣
Instructions unclear:
I took one atom from a moss and my terrarium has one grain of sand
Risked? Lmao
..to the PLANT, maybe...
U sound like the guy who always says tequila for everything. So funny
2:25 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 fabulous! 😂😂😂😂
Coz it's an Audrey II ... before you put your finger in, your finger needs to be thorned - then the plant needs dead bodies to feed on. Keep it up!
Goddamnit my face hurts from laughing so much.
Dude, your videos and humor are great, I always look forward to your next upload, keep up the nice work!

Yes, people touching Venus flytraps are a big concern. My cousin lost his middle finger once.
🤣yeah they can be dangerous...

Yep indeed! 3 touches on those hairs within x amount of time and they close!
@@HomemadeEcosystems 2 touches within 30 seconds is what triggers them to close
I love your humour 😂🎉

Great video. I got a Venus flytrap recently as well. Pretty fun stuff.

Lol 😅 glad you like the videos!
The rocks on the hiking trail are free though. I take them all the time.
It ate the fly like you will eat the cricket jam.
Use sphagnum moss instead. Also, put away the foil. They like a wet substrate and dry air. And as much sun as you can get.
It works very well how it is now, even the moss still looks very green after so much time. Didn't expect that so I'm going to leave it for now 😁
I'm very late with a crap pop-culture reference: "Feed me Seymour, feed me now!"
Actually these plants don't eat as much as we think, naturally they barely eat three insects per year
Indeed! It takes them too much energy to close to eat a lot
Keep up the good work I like your videos . When will you post about The Ants again
Thank you! When I get enough cool footage to make an interesting video. For now they are still in the tube so not much is happening with them unfortunatly 😅

Is there anything that can replace the moss in a terrarium ?
And cool video
Ferns also always look good in a terrarium but imo there isn't anything like moss 😅
Sphagnum moss
I was actually hoping for a close up of water. :)
Bro really wanted no pinky😂😂😂
Don't need it 🤣
Cut off the flower stalk!! I have two Venus flytraps and it helps them grow better if they're not wasting energy on blooming
Yes I have done that!
Kool video..
It is not a bad idea it only closes on your finger and doesn’t hurt you 😂
Yeah it is a bad idea for the plant because they have to use energy to close for nothing 😂
love it
I freaking love your video's xD
Glad you like them!
I can't believe how much ur channel have grown i remember ur channel having like 7subs and 9.likes
Yes it is growing fast!
I had two flytraps in pots that were doing great and survived two winters. Then I had the bright idea to move them into bigger pots, because they were growing so much. I killed them. I regret it very much
It might be because they 'survived' the winter. These plants need a dormant period during winter in which all above plant parts die
Yet another amazing video dude!! 🔥🔥💚
Thanks man!
Where are you from? I loved this and found it so humerous.
Belgium!
It feels funny for fly traps to bite you.
i would listen to you talk for 10 hours no kidding
also venus fly traps are so beautiful
