My favorite player ever, without a question. What a player, what a smile, what charisma! Being a Minnesotan, it was a pleasure to watch him for 12 great years. Puck, you were the greatest.
I meant Kirby when I was a little kid and he signed a baseball for me I will never forget that Legend of Minnesota rest in peace and we'll see you tomorrow night
I am fortunate to have known Kirby the last year of his life, I don't follow baseball and had no I idea who he was when I met him but for some reason he took a liking to me and when ever he was in town visiting family he would have me over for 25 cent poker, such a down to earth humble guy, many great memories. R.I.P.
i met kirby in st croix falls wi, i was home on leave, i told him how me and my brother would sneak down to the bullpin to try to get autographs he seemed like a cool guy a year later he passed
I have to quit cutting onions while watching the late great Kirby Puckett. RIP Kirby this life long Twins fans that attended my first game in '64 will never forget Kkkkkkiiiiiirrrrrrbbbbbbbbbyyyyyy Puckett as you touched them all !
If you lived in MN during his time, this should bring you tears. Born in raised from 77 and got to see them win 2 championships. That huge smile made me play baseball all the way through school because of him. He was Minnesota.
I love Kirby Puckett. I truly have love in my heart for him as a human being. And what a damn fine ball player. Greatest to ever play the game as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for the memories Kirby.
I was a young kid when he was playing the game and I remember when he retired. That day was a sad day in Minnesota sports history. He truly was a great player and an incredible human.
Such a lovable guy within the baseball community. 1st ballot HOFer for a good reason. He had the best BA on the team both years the Twins won the World Series.
How could you pitch to the guy? You could go low in the strike zone and he could drive the ball or take a tomahawk chop at a ball if you went high . It didn't seem to matter he always seem to get a hit . Seen him go 4 for 4 a few times but I would of loved to been there in person going 6 for 6 .......Wow!
you throw him high and would tomahawk swing and you threw outside he would go get it and down the middle it was all over . I bet pitchers hated seeing 34 at the plate
Damn I would've loved to see Kirby with the 02 Twins and finish out there. Such a quality, humble dude. Still seems like a little kid. Without Jackie, there is no Carew, Puckett, or #MrPadre. #RIPKirby
Jim Edmonds was a great player and he deserves strong consideration for the HoF. Kirby had more hits in 12 seasons than Edmonds had in 17 seasons, with a career batting average about .032 higher than Edmonds' career average. That's the 1st thing that jumps out at me when I compare both players on paper. Of course, a lot more than just stats go into HoF induction.
He was very depressed that’s why he ate a lot a lot of men and women do this because of depression I use to drink a lot because I was depressed now God Bless Me 9 years Sober
Puck was the greatest, an absolute hero to me and to the state of Minnesota.

Every team needs a Kirby Puckett
the best 1st pitch hitter ever rip kirby.

I’ve never even been to Minnesota but Kirby was one of my favorite players!
Mr. Minnesota should be his Nickname. He really was the King of that state.
First ballot HOF....and still underrated. Puckett was the best.
He doesn't belong in the HoF, sorry, but just look at the career #s. Jim Edmonds has superior career stats and isn't even considered,
@@Chasstful The fact that people will have to google jim "what ever his name is" but still know who Kirby is shoes your so called point is wrong.
We love Kirby!!!
Triton college very own rip kirby
Miss you puck

A Ballplayer plain and simple!!!
Nobody like Puck. And what's with this new red uniform? Bring back the uniform from the 80's-90's please
KIrby is a HoFer? Jim Edmonds has better career across the board and isn't even considered.

Edmonds isn't a world series hero, Kirby is and he's also a x6 Silver Slugger x10 All Star x6 Gold Glove ALCS MVP AL Batting Champion
Incredible he's now on the wrong side of the grass. Really makes you think.
too much food took him out.
He was very depressed that’s why he ate a lot a lot of men and women do this because of depression I use to drink a lot because I was depressed now God Bless Me 9 years Sober
