Back with another guitar cover! This is one of my favourite Periphery songs, such a pleasure to play. But also an absolute mission at the same time haha. I'm pretty happy with how the song turned out overall, definitely took a few takes to get down tight though!
Thanks for watching! More to come so be sure to subscribe \m/

I've never seen anyone make this look for effortless but impossible.
This song is such a pain to play! But once you nail it, it makes you feel so proud of yourself lol great cover m8! \m/
literally a pain. i started learning it today and my hand hurts....
I got it down at 80% speed. It’s funny because Misha conserves motion with his fingers. They barely move. But I guess we’re built different. My fingers fly around just like that lol
@@benjaminjones3961 he must have big hands because like you, my fingers have to reach so far
And its a great warmup
daaaamn that was TIGHT
Mar3K1996 Thanks dude! 🤘
Did a sneaky re-upload as the last video uploaded in 360p for some reason :/ Thanks to anyone who commented on the previous upload though! Hope you guys enjoy this cover, more on the way! \m/
Yo, I WANT THAT GUITAR!!!!! So sick. And great playing too, lol. Nailed it!
That first riff is money mate! 👏
Epic cover man
Sickest 🎸player I know
Pretty good 🎻 player too
grant brauer Thanks Grant! I would say that the cellist is the real star here.
Why hasn't this got 47,498 more views? Today? Fark
Badass shirt! And as always, perfect chops!
That was BADASS BRO!!! love the guitar also.
digitalbath81 Thanks man!
This is fire
Son?
Fuck yea.
Killer tone
thats fucking fair man
Ahhhhh maaaaan i love this song! Since you got that guitar i was like "uhmmm would be awesome if he covered some Periphery with Misha's signature" I'm glad you played it lml Awesome cover mate :D Cheers!
François-Louis Bonald Haha well there you go, better late than never! Thanks for the comment dude glad you enjoyed :)
yeah mane (y)
Fuck this is a cool song! Nicely done pal!
Isaac Martin Thanks pal! Yeah it's sick hey!
Awesome cover! I'm in the process of learning this song myself and it's a pain! I went to demo one of these juggernauts but the only one in the guitar shop was yellowed really bad and had a black smudge on it lol
Fred Whartenby Yeah it's a pain, but rewarding to play once you get it down! Haha ah that sucks man, definitely gotta play one though they're a great guitar :)
Well you absolutely killed that. Haha. How long have you been playing ?
Nathan Boehm Thanks Nathan! I picked up the guitar around 2007 😊
Ueahhhh
GREAT JOB DUDE and great tone! Would like to hear it without the string dampening at the nut
Thanks heaps man! I can't imagine there'd be an audible difference on a song like this tbh
The only dislike is Misha Mansoor, pissed you nailed it like that...
Hey Jacbob! Just catching up on this old song and finally want to learn it... question: do you downpick the last note of the phrase and the first 2 notes of the phrase? I think Misha maybe does the same thing? When i was learning this before i alt picked the whole thing but struggled with the speed! Cheers man.
Nice cover man! What do you think of your jackson pro juggernaut ht6? I have heard so many bad reviews that i'm afraid of buying it.
Watching ur videos and thinking "Should I buy Jugg HT-6 or shouln't"
Егор Антонов same I just don’t about it being Indonesian
Hmm it's definitely an awesome guitar, but certainly not perfect. I'm a few months in and already my tone and volume knobs feel loose and flimsy. Also push-pull isn't really working, and gets stuck into position. Pickups are decent but I definitely want to put something better in there. But it's a comfy guitar to play I'm definitely happy with it overall. Wish I could've afforded the USA made ht6 though .
Dude...sick cover...but i gotta say, u look a hell of a lot like Theon Greyjoy from GoT...lol...either way, good stuff man...
Jason Lefort Hahahaha this is the 3rd time someone’s mentioned that actually. Must be some combo of the lighting and camera angle 😂
How do you get that tone? It's amazing!
Where can i get this backingtrack? Or you made it by urself?🤔
UnstopFooL It’s from the producer pack that periphery released. Gives you the mixed stems in wav files. Can’t remember how much it costs but it wasn’t too expensive
Jacob Martin Oh,really, thx man,im gonna find this one! Nice cover btw,how about making "bad thing" cover, this song is sick )
Did you choose to pick it this way or did you do this naturally? I know this is how mark plays it, but its definitely not natural this way for me haha, did you have to practice it like this?
Haha actually as it turns out, this is just how i pick anyway! I think it's something that wasn't natural at first but then developed over time :)
@@JacobMartin Thanks for the reply my friend. It's very economical for one thing and I bet your could get the BPM cookin on this riff like that, but among other things, that technique seems very useful/helpful for other situations too. I'm more built around downpicking, and while my alternate picking is pretty good, it gets weird when I try to mix the two. I have a feeling its because my downpicking is so much stronger than my up strokes, so when I go to throw an up stroke in the mix, sometimes i'll flub it or even just miss it completely. Mark's technique is fucking flawless, he doesn't even anchor and his picking is so clean that it doesn't even look like he's hitting the strings.. hell, you have phenomenal technique as well though, I really enjoy watching you play.
will any1 try this song on baritone 27" or longer scale ?? 🤣
Great cover! Can I ask, why do you put your age in the description?
CoreyRive Haha dunno man, just general info I guess
Not gonna lie, I prefer periphery songs without the vocals lol
I love Spence's vocals. But I love the instrumentals too so it's good they give us both options haha
Unchainedmaple888 agree, not heavy enough for those heavy riffs
Definitely check out haunted shores then
