Gorillaz have always been unique mix of everything the Earth has to offer right now. They don't mince their words and present in an art that fills ones soul.

the album has sold eight million copies worldwide, and spawned the singles "Feel Good Inc.", "Dare", "Dirty Harry", "Kids with Guns", and "El Mañana". only for your generation this is underrated, who can make this type of sales anymore ? not a lot (almost nobody)

I love how happy Damon looks in this performance. You can't even see his face but you can just see the emotion in his body language. The choir sounds amazing.. such a beautiful song.
The entire show,he had the movements of a man possessed by music,and brother man,thats a feeling unlike any other.
At one point he's singing, but not even into the mic. I like to think it was purely for the joy of it. It's so beautiful, how do NOT sing along?
I love how during the whole performance Damon just sits at the piano. He's so humble. He gives a ton of credit to the other artists and performers there. It's awesome and so sweet.

I had to listen to this twice. This has to be one of the most beautiful performances of that decade. Normally people wouldn't think a Gorillaz song would sound like this just because of the name of the band.

Just watched that with my kids who grew up loving the album, I couldn't talk or comment watching because I was on the edge of crying, it moved me that much, just watched it three times, what a fucking masterpiece. Damon should go down in history as one of the top five songwriters ever to have lived.
Shit makes me cry, especially the ending with the choir. Every time. Every damn time. This is why Gorillaz tix are worth EVERY-DAMN-PENNY. Prices could climb to exorbitant amounts and I would still happily pay up. I thank the universe every day for Damon Albarn and Gorillaz. I hope he stays sober and alive. We've lost too many great musicians the last few years. I put this on after I heard about Chris Cornell. Couldn't stop crying. Strangest mix of grief and joy. Grief over his death and joy that such music exists and helps deal with such a heavy pain. Thank you Damon, thank you for everything.
I know this is super late, but Chris Cornell and Damon Albarn are my musical heroes, so I relate really heavily with your comment

I remember Demon Days was the first CD I ever bought when i was younger listed to it a few times and lost it somewhere. I've recently been listening to it like crazy, I love it more now than I did then.
I come back to this performance often. Truly mind numbingly good! For the canon Damon!

my opinion This album is still my all time favorite from Gorillaz. This live version of these two song's are so beautiful to hear, especially the title album/song "Demon Days" awesome opening.
Even being stoned I get goose bumps from this performance. Hands down, the most beautiful of all their work.

Man, i remember being in fifth grade back in Okinawa, Japan when i was like 10 or so and thinking about this song all day in class, and as soon as i got home i'd put this one and just enjoy this gem of a live performance, 22 now it sparks so much nostalgia.
Crazy, I lived in Japan when I first bought this album too. So many days spent listening to this album in my CD player. Good times man, good times.

It's nearly impossible to not feel an emotional connection with these songs. Unless you're a sociopath or you just don't like Gorillaz. But this gives me the chills everytime. Probably one of the 2 best songs ever.

One of the best performances I’ve seen live absolutely beautiful
This here, _this_ is the beauty and genius of this band. The more you look and the more you listen, the more it unfolds, _relinquishes_ itself to you. These two songs - vastly underrated masterpieces, imho - are perfect examples of this. I believe they're the two that _make_ the album, which is otherwise almost stifling in its pessimism. It's they that carry its true message - one of hope, of optimism and looking forward to better and happier days.

In retrospect, Demon Days perfectly captured the cultural zeitgeist of the mid-2000’s. The lyrics allude to fears around climate change, consumerism, and the Iraq War. Despite the dark subject matter, the song ends with a cautiously optimistic tone. The gospel choir pleads that maybe it’s not too late, maybe we can still turn things around. Sadly, even all these years later, it still feels like we are living out our Demon Days.
He certainly didn't piss about upon searching pure talent to combine this masterpiece.. bravo Damien & crew 👏🤘

I was lucky to see Gorillaz during the Now Now Tour, and they ended the concert with these two songs. Obviously no orchestra for Demon Days, but the song choices to end such an amazing show couldn't have been better.
