Just bought one!! Kick azz guitar, that green machine sounds awesome. Sounds just as good as my Ltd EC-400 vf! Getting used to it after playing it's been a blast. I recomend both!

I've got this guitar in the charcoal burst and just love it. I had taken a guitar into GC and one of the folks there asked if I wanted to see their new guitar and of course I said sure. Tried it out and took it home. This is a really nice guitar. Great video.

Just played with it at guitar center. Really nice guitar all around, sounded more than good to me.
I would definitely buy it if I wanted a guitar right now.

for a first guitar this is a such a good option instead of a shitty squier or something because it actually is a quality guitar

I have the same one. It came out of the box not putting out any sound. I thought, "it can't be that complicated" so I pulled the cover off and the issue was a loose pot had spun a bit creating a short. I sorted that out and tightened it up and it was good to go. The frets on mine are quite good. The stock setup was adequate. The neck pickup was tilted slightly (high toward neck), but that was easily fixed by adjusting the foam pads behind it.

Nice to know you got a good CR-6, Kenny. I love mine; used it on my Trans-Siberian Orchestra cover back in December.

@@MichaelD8393 that's why you get those a lil later on. The pickups sound nice so I don't mind keeping them in until I figure out what to stick in there later on.

Really thorough review! I never see anyone open the electronics cavity nor measure out the pickups. What Seymour's did you end up going with? I might throw a set of Nazgul/Pegasus in there eventually.

The guitar is overall amazing. Got mine back a couple months ago, unfotionatly it had a faulty volume pot which had to be changed and now the pickup selector switch cuts the signal and is noise as heck, gotta swap that one as well. Putting the electronics aside the guitar itself is amazing.

@SIX1NINEGUITARSANDGEAR It doesn't matter, the Apocalypse 2 and the Apocalypse V1 pickups are identical besides color. I contacted Schecter about this and they confirmed it's corrrect. Look at the backsides of the pickups and you'll see that they don't differentiate, they simply say "Apocalypse" B or N.

FInally found a review that actually demos in a gainy metal tone.
Yes, you should show different tones in a demo, but all of the demos are just clean/crunchy fuckass tone boomer jazz chords... I mean it's a metal schecter for god's sake :D

For anyone looking to buy this guitar, be prepared for the 75% chance of having to re wire the entire guitar, bad pots and after putting a new one in, people complain the switch cuts out. Just a warning. GREAT guitar, bad pots ruin the whole thing

That's really weird that Schecter would let something leave the factory in that condition. I honestly have yet to play a Schecter that wasn't amazing and fully functional
