It’s genuinely amazing to me an experienced group of comedians and radio people didn’t seem to realize they were being trolled by a 20 year old kid for like an hour and a half. Like, the guy controlled the entire tempo of the room and just deflected everything coming his way from EVERYONE and did so while being hilarious. Absolutely fascinating.
As much as I like O&A, I cant imagine working there. Dealing with that High School BS.

interesting how they try and trash Mike when he says he was an expeditor at a restaurant, and how they think it's a super easy non-job that they've clearly just never heard of, when in fact it's an extremely important position that basically keeps the entire kitchen running smoothly. restaurants where the wait staff and cooks communicate directly to each other with no expeditor as a go-between will quickly fall behind when they get busy.
You just put an order into the point of sale. Cooks can read, most of them.

@@Derek_Keenan I was a full time waiter for about a year. It's how it worked 90% of the time at a very big, very busy restaurant. During crazy nights they just grabbed a waitress and had them read the same ticket and make sure everything was present on a plate and keep an order from sitting in the window too long due to one missing plate. They would also "recruit" runners to take the food out to tables.

simple mike vs matt is such a good example of funny vs unfunny. rly a homer simpson vs frank grimes setup.
mike has an undying devotion to his own stupidity and never waivers from his position, but has the self awareness to know it's kinda dumb and silly yet always doubles down, he never gets angry and every compliment is backhanded (much like vos/colin/bobby/patrice etc). his approach is that he doesn't care about getting something like air time, he's not trying to take anything from the show, like leaving valuable air time on the table to catch a train. he acts as if he has own shit down even if he doesn't, this is why people like bobo, lady di, marion etc. are funny. it's a classic comedic recipe.
matt on the other hand hates himself too much to have any confidence in his bits, even ironically, he's also too angry to be funny. he is so desperate for airtime that he tries to hit a homerun everytime he says something (like danny), and because he's so angry and desperate his observations are never funny, he doesn't give backhanded compliments like in a roast, he doesn't have that sort of tact. he is also unaware that mike is smarter than the rest of the interns, and he is confused as to why mike, and the rest of the world most likely has passed him by. he sees mike as a symbol for everything he isn't and that angers him so much that he can't land a single joke.

Matt didn't come off too well in this. He definitely sounded like he was trying to pick up on the shows lingo and candence when he would speak angrily. However i listened to an episode where they invited Matt in for a tenor fifteen minute talk and he came off way more likeable.

It was unpaid. 2 the audio he did was the greatest because he didn't do shit he sat in his room and just made some shit up while the other interns who cared so much actually put in effort. He didn't even edit it he just recorded it and turned it in. 3 trolling people who care about frivolous shit like an UNPAID internship in a dying industry is the greatest troll of all time. I’ve been on an O&A kick all month and just came across this gem… And now after hearing it again, I am like 80 to 90% certain that this “Simple Mike” intern-guy - from O&A became “MikeZeroh” - on RUclips… Listen to them both! They’re both from Jersey, same approximate age, same voice, same cadence, and the exact same vocal pitch. Plus he loves movies, and wants to make them.
