I try to stay happy with the people in my life. But not many of them are friends.

🤔If you are -- "trying" - to stay happy you already know something is terribly wrong and if they bring nothing but confusion and negativity into your life maybe they don't want to see you happy, so you need to learn not to allow their garbage into your life no matter what - you are not a garbage can, your life and theirs will go on , be not concerned with what they say or do, even if they invite you to go somewhere, now you know what to accept in your life or not, the choice is yours to be with people who are like minded as you, you do not have to talk about it just prepare to do it, remember some people will never change for the better, including some relatives no matter how old they might be.This also l had to learn
If you are trying it’s not worth it it should come natural.and they are not trying so why waste your energy on them move on you have more value than that you will feel better once you do
This is so true ! ! I'm very picky when choosing friends, because I've had quite a few friends in the past that were bad friends. I'm older and more wiser now. Don't settle for bad friends. Just because you have a lot of friends doesn't mean there your true friends.
It doesn't matter how many friends you have. Its the quality of friends that counts. Forget about self image some people have to have a lot of friends to make themselves look good, but how many friends do you know out of all those people that are really true friends ? Probably not many! Go for quality, not quantity.

True, You are just like me, I don't have any friends here in the United States because I am too busy trying to discern between good and evil but just because I don't have friends here, I don't hold grudges against them and I am not hostile to them. They actually like me and I like them back. Besides, they don't even talk to me.

I moved away from whom i consider my true and best friend about a year ago now . However we constantly talk , and have the abilty to be on the phone for hours , and it seems like minutes . Furthermore, we have not lost the value of taking constuctive criticism from each other in any way . That's true friendship !
In the end, we are happy if we have one but worthy friend.
If we love ourselves, we will not need fake friends. Everything comes from us.

This is good baseline to know ppl we surround ourselves with. From my own experience, yes true friends will tell you the “hard” truth.. simply because they want the best of you.
True friends laugh with you...guide you, inspire you, put up with you, put you first in your time of need, compete with you but don't rub it in when they win, and stick with you when your all alone.

Lol, was thinking about Jesus as I watch this. It makes Him more tangible and real... like, maybe this is what he's like... Jesus is my True Friend. And He isn't someone who is overly critical or doesn't care about how I feel about myself. Hoping I can find some good friends in people, and I might be!
Oh man, I have had sooo much trouble with this. Essentially I'm a loner. I grew up alone and I was told a few things. I don't need to stay where I'm uncomfortable and any friendship you have to pay to have is too expensive.
I usually run into those who think I will do anything to have their friendship. They're very wrong. If I feel used I will turn on you and reject you. I'm hard wired that way. I have turned on family members.
If I include a person into my life, it's because I like them and that's it, I didn't need them in my life. I can and have functioned without them. I enjoy my time by myself. I've been told that I'm a cross between an introvert and extrovert.
I like helping people but I do it because I can not because I have to.
My friends would most likely say that I was acting all weird if I brought up the first one with moving away etc, Compliments always come from new friends, I find that some friends are only friends with who ever they are out with at that time,,, I have about 10% that I actually can trust,, due to the fact of what they say and do to others. However,, as a whole I would rather have 5 true friends,, than a million fair weather, or 30 second friends, this has always been my philosophy. True friends are the most important impact on your Social Life, and all that surrounds your life. So to sum it up,, Thanks once again, for a great Video!
I randomly came across this video and was watching it with questions, and this helped me find a lot of answers. The biggest thing is I have found a friend that I do share deep understanding with and feel I could trust for my life. One of the reasons for that is I have panic attacks, and he can have anxiety attacks. That gives us understanding that neither of us has found before with anyone else and we know how to comfort each other.

For 20 years of friendship she never even showed me where she lives...and so suddenly she stopped messaging me and calling me so i didnt bother anymore.. Shes more of a real sister to me but tried to believe that i was wrong but i wasnt when it reached to the point that im convinced shes being a fake one all those years

In my first year of sobriety and beginning my journey of self love and healing I realized that after 30 years in NYC I can count on one hand the number of people I could call and depend upon when the shit done got heavy , but its OK I'd rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies any day of the week. Its been a challenge to quietly step away and wean myself from fellow addicts, narcissists , pathological liars, snakes that I have let bite me more than once and people who are so Jekyll and Hyde you never know quite what to expect from them . Taking responsibility for the energy I ALLOW into my space is the most empowering action I have taken in the quest to realizing my highest potential . I can go see a King Cobra at The Bronx Zoo behind bulletproof glass and marvel at how this tiny little brown ball of scales can uncoil and suddenly become 5 feet tall and able to kill in one bite and be in total awe of that creation . that doesnt mean however I need to take that home and display it on my coffee table.. He is who he is ! I can say after watching a dozen or so videos of yours that you are a better friend to me than 99% of the people Ive known in my 53 years on this planet because you encourage myself and others to reach their highest potential without tearing me down or discouraging me to go for my dreams. I do have friends but I have trouble telling whether if they’re my real friends. Because I’ve been thinking about it all this time and it kinda gave me the feel that I don’t have any friends at all that feel true to me. It just made me feel that I am isolated and that I never hang out with my friends outside of school. Me thinking about this just effected really hard all the time, especially with my daily life. I seriously don’t know what I’ll do in the future having the trouble to tell if my friends are real....

I’ve been friends with this girl for two years and she is such a good friend but later, we made another friend and I guess that other friend was jealous that I knew the girl for longer, and so she spread rumors about me to turn the girl away from me but as I said the girl is such a good friend she never left me, but sadly I moved and I made friends just today actually in my new school and I hope they’re real friends

Had what I thought was my best friend working for me after I got in a car accident. Was hit from behind at a stop light coming home from work by a car doing over 59mph. Any way couldn't understand what was happening to my tools they were missing..He was stealing them.

Some of the relatives comes to me at the work in Stockholm and cried I gave them a huge I really felt that pain they had. Some of the family members said when they visited their family member at the working place I worked at. You are a good kind person you love this job to help these people. They said I can see that. I gave more than I could. I have worked in another country some of the older said there. Are you quitting this job now? You are one of the kindest here. And some of them said at that time I had a boyfriend. One of these people said I hope your boyfriend is taking care of you.
