everytime i played, i got caught with paz over my shoulder on purpose...so this theme would play while bullets are flying past me in the rain, and paz whispering "kill me" and stuff. epic
I think ground zeroes had the most epic music, especially this track. I think it’s cool how one of the best tracks in the series plays during Big Boss’ last mission.
@@RussellAdlerCIA Correct, he fought Solid Snake and got burned to a crisp. And if you wanna be all artsy fartsy you could even argue that the epilogue in MGS4 was his final mission.
It’s almost as it was on purpose. In TPP with Venom, you feel like there’s something missing. You feel the same way with the music. Right at the ending of the truth missions you get this Ground Zeroes twang. And you DEF know that that’s the Big Boss that’s missing, and also the music hits this point as well.
It makes sense that the theme was different for GZ. Because you played as the REAL Big Boss. PP was played by someone else. You hear this theme again once you see the big reveal at the very end of the game. This is Big Boss' theme.
Ground Zeroes is actually a simulation of Venom going through Big Boss' missions. In GZ you play as Venom hence why you don't see the medic's face but still hear Keifer's voice. Details of the actual mission were changed if you listen closely and pay attention to the details (like how Kaz tells you that MSF received Chico's distress tape when it's already the reason why Big Boss is supposed to be there.)
@@themissingpeace7956I know I'm 3 years late to the party but I do really like the idea that GZ is also a pseudo-historical simulation (of perhaps a real rescue mission that happened) which Venom is experiencing during his programming. One of the most glaring inconsistencies is how Kaz, early on in GZ, says he didnt know about Paz being a double agent during Peace Walker. But like, he absolutely did. He literally tells Snake at the end of PW.. So yeah. Too glaring to be an error. Then theres other smaller stuff like Snake's shadow not having hair during the daytime missions. Like the simulation is somehow bugged in small ways. Then the Fox Engine literally does bug out and restart during Deja Vu.. list goes on and on.
My first playthrough on Ground Zeroes started like I always play my MGS-Games: Stealth, non-lethal and if possible in and out without being spotted. Of course I triggered an alarm state on my way out with Paz on my shoulders...! This is where things changed and I did something totally unusual: I found myself a place to hide, placed Big Boss into prone position next to Paz, went into the options menu and turned all sound effects an d voices down to zero and then I spend about 20 minutes letting the game run just to listen to this soundtrack! And was sooo pissed that the official OST contains a totally short and IMO butchered version because this is by far my favorite track in the entire OST!
the OST uses a different instrumentation that heavily toned down the synths and bass. Doesn't build that "bulldozing our way out of here" feeling quite the same way.
Pan Z, LMAO have you even tried playing it with the Realism Mod on PC? It becomes a completely different game. Enemies have human level hearing and vision capabilities and their approach to guarding bases changes along with their behavior when spotting or searching for the player. It truly perfects the game, and presents a real challenge without having to remove core gameplay mechanics such as reflex mode, camouflage, weapons and items, and more. Suddenly, every tool has a purpose and every movement matters. Please give the game a second chance and play it with the realism mod. You’ll find the repetitiveness is gone, because there are random encounters with the skulls in free roam, large platoons of guards patrol the landscape, walkergears and other advanced weaponry can become commonplace in the world. And bases become heavily populated, secure, equipped, and dangerous, marking your enemy’s and carefully planning your approach goes from being a fun but nonessential gameplay mechanic to the difference between life and death. Not only that but there is an option allowing the enemies health and the players health to be realistic as well. Making an all out gunfight an extremely risky option. But all of this is just the tip of the iceberg. I am here incase you wish to know more.
Joey Andrew WHICH IS WHY WE NEED THE NEXT CHAPTER! To be able to know what the real boss i up to after events in Phantom Pain. Hopefully Kojima with his new company can produce enough successful games to purchase the rights of MGS. I just hate the way the series is being treated as do all fans. I still have hope that Konami will make the right choice. Give the series back to the one who created it. Even if fans have to help donate to get the rights back... There's so much potential still left in the series...
Not very likely. Survive's fail and the overall fan buttclench over Kojima not making MGS anymore will make Konami think. What will they think? Instead of putting resources and time in making another great MGS (they did Portable Ops, didn't they?) they will rather stop, and put cash in Pachinko machines and Mobile Games. #Fuckonami.
I paid £15 for it and played it for around 30 hours. I'd say i got my moneys worth. Paid more for less which isn't that uncommon in this day and age of gaming.

The phantom pain has very great soundtracks most of ground zeroes music were taken since they took it from other games but did add some uniqueness of the music however TPP music best fits the story and mood of the game .

Game Addict Penguin really? Well, the different is absurd. Sure something was lacking there.
yeah he only got a production credit in TPP, which is a shame because his music really helps to define the series
