Porsche Panamera is one of a few full-size luxury sedans which aren't a fit for an official state car. Look at its design. It's very sporty and traditionally streamlined because it's a Porsche. Also, this has to be the third generation Porsche Panamera.

Platinums don’t get established until Porsche gather the statistics of popular options consumers pick.. so it comes out years after they introduce base trim.
I have to say that I can't see why the panamera gets so much hate for it's looks. It's positively beautiful compared to the taycan. The latter really is an ugly car. It looks awful from all sides.
The 2023 Panamera does look like a very classy sports sedan/fastback. The Taycan is much smaller and is more evolutionary in styling to reflect the first pure EV sports sedan for Porsche. Personal preference in size and styling. I do prefer the Panamera style over Taycan. Will have to see the new refreshed 2024 MY Panamera in real life to do comparison again. From images and video, I have mixed feelings.

I like what I like… and I would pass on this like I have all the newer gens when my dealer tries to get me to trade mine in. Not a fan of the 2017 going forward, I like buttons not touch screens, I enjoy the aspirated GTS or turbo engine don’t want electric/hybrid. This is a 5 seat sedan now when the Panamera was based on 4 bucket seats.The 970.1 is a better made vehicle bumper to bumper but you probably don’t own one so you wouldn’t know, but I would definitely take it over whatever your currently driving I’m sure.
