Replacement video for my old one. Higher quality video with more of the side quests completed.
A part of my video got deleted, from gaining a gold chocobo to the second visit of Mideel, so i had to redo this section. This means some of my level or materia levels may be slightly altered and my chocobo was the opposite sex.
I forget to go back to Wutai and use the leviathan scales.
I leave ruby and emerald weapons until after the main story as to over level for the final boss, however my team still ends up too over powered. After the battle I trained in the swap area gaining AP and EXP, not shown in video, before heading to the weapon battles. -

This is the best nostalgic experience I may of ever had in my life.. this was my by far and is by far still my favorite game of all time. I don’t have a PlayStation right now and you posting these 4 videos (I just finished watching all 4!!) brought so much joy to my life ..this was incredible and I watched the whole thing like I’d binge watch a series ..it was truly amazing THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

Kat Pruitt didn’t lose any battles or anything ..this was incredible to watch ..and 70 hrs was lightening speed compared to how long it probably took me lol

I have like 50hrs on my first playthrough, though at least 20 of them are just the game left on ahah
It took me 60 hours, because I grinded my characters
That Tera flare summon is no joke. The development and detail that went into this game is astounding for its time. I really slept on this when I was 9. SMH. Just from watching this 4 part playthrough. This is easily one of the best PS1 games of all time.

I replayed this amazing game recently. It was late night when I got to the Northern Cave and I wanted to finish it before going to bed so I was advancing rapidly, speeding up the random battles to get some experience and AP. I accidentally hit a Magic Pot and couldn't read the messages on screen, then I got to the last chamber and saved the game. I went to equip the final weapons to fight Sephiroth and realized that my Ultima Weapon was stolen by the Magic Pot. My last save was in Midgar, three hours earlier. I wanted to die.
The next day I fast-forwarded through the last part of the game and Sephiroth got the beating he deserved.

Seriously that attack came with like a 60 second cinematic. I'd expect nothing less from Sephiroth though lbr

you should play the game about it..it's amazing. Cloud got mako poisoning. Zack died protecting him against a few hundre shinra solders

@GoingBackToThe1980s I never said I didn't like FF VII I called him a fanboy because he think's this game is the best game in the series its far far from being the best game in the series FF6 is better than this game and my favorite FF in the franchise.
It all depends on the era of gaming you grew up in, for many of you youngsters, this is your first RPG, for some of us, there were Final Fantasy games before. The first RPG I ever put the time into and beat was Dragon Warrior 4, and to me that one has always stood out, but I'll always put FF 4 and 6 (and to some extent FF5 as well) well ahead of this game, as well as stuff like Beyond the Beyond, Phantasy Star 4, and both Shining Force games ahead of this one. Yeah I bought it when it came out, even pre-ordered the thing back in the day. Once I beat it, I put away, never to play it again, and to this day it sits in my game collection, untouched. After beating it, I started playing stuff like Breath of Fire 3 and Suikoden, and enjoyed those far more than FF7.
Each individual is different, but I chalk up the fanboyism of this one once again, to the age of the fan, and if it was one of their first RPG's, or even first games. I just never could get into this one, nor Final Fantasy 8, but oddly enough, Final Fantasy 9 seemed to tickle my fancy just right. For me it'll always be, FF6, FF4, FF5, then FF9 for this series.

This game plays an looks so good on the ps4pro and the loading screens are instant. Anyone looking to play this should look on the that...pc also has alot of mods to make it look good.
Great walkthrough of an absolute classic. I was very impressed with how you did some of the bosses. So clever. I am sad you did not use Vincent more. And didn't get Great Gospel for Aeris and her other limit breaks. But I thoroughly enjoyed watching the walkthrough. Despite the omissions. I would upload a video myself but I don't think you could put a video on for 550 hours. That's how long it took me. Still all my characters were maxed out by Wutai so there we go. Thank you.

Wow I never found Mime, that materia is game-breaking when it allows you to do back-to-back limit breaks lol. I did not understand the Ruby fight I just watched you went in with 2 characters dead and Ruby never got a chance to even do any moves on you? You just summoned the crap out of him? When I beat him back in the day I didn't do it this way, it was bloody hard and involved having Pheonix materia to bring me back to life automatically when a character died I believe. Never seen the method you used. You know bloody everything about this game lol. I never found Lucrecia in the waterfall neither. Did everything else though. Still my favorite game of all time. I watched this entire longplay while working on my own epic story :D

Thanks for letting me watch a play through of a game I miss desperately, and haven't played in many years. I am, however, pretty mystified with some of your decisions. For instance, in the last leg of the game, you used Apocalypse for Cloud over Ultima. I'm having trouble understanding your reasoning for this, as Ultima has far more Materia slots and better attack, and the rest of it's stats are completely even with Apocalypse. I also recall you only fighting three of the Weapons, but I seem to remember there being four. I would have also enjoyed watching you run more Chocobo races, and exploring (or at least talking to people) a bit more. Anyway, apart from those minor quips, it was very enjoyable to watch an expert play.
Adam agreed this is a game I too miss desperately ..had to watch the ENTIRE thing!!! This player had the damn strategy guide memorized!! Lol

Aw, you should have been doing tricks while parachuting. If you press left, right, up, or down on the D-pad, Cloud will spin and flip.
Man, can't wait to see the space sequence, assault on Midgar, and the final Northern Cave in the remake.
I think it would cooler if you could play with other characters. Just think how great FFVII would be if you could have characters other than Cid and Yuffie in your party.
Great play through, though! Can't wait for the PS Mini to come out and revisit this classic!

FF 6 always kept me coming back for more. This one sadly, once I beat it, that was it, I felt no need to replay it, so today it sits in my collection with 7,8, and 9, as well as Tactics on the PS1. It has company with FF 1 NES, FF2/4 SNES, FF3/6 SNES (which someone sold to me for a $2 bottle of whiskey at my work, plus his old SNES for free, no complaints from me as it was totally unexpected), FF Anthology (because I needed FFV and VI at that time in my life), and FF Chronicles, as well as the faux FF Gameboy titles.

Yeah it is. You can turn it on when you need to, like to level up I or to learn and enemy skill. And turn it off when you don’t need it
That is literally also on the PS4 and Switch versions of the game as well. It also has 3X mode where you can walk, swim, fly etc. three times faster.
