Thanks for the reminder, the way some of our fans turned on SBR was bad. It's been a dismal 17 years since. EH deserves time and most of all our respect. From what I've seen and heard so far, and the insights from @back of the net (absolutely brilliant show guys) I genuinely think we have a man in the mould of KK, SBR and Rafa. If we are to stay up, this is the man to deliver.

Realise that pretty much every AFCB fan now has Newcastle as a 2nd team (besides when we play you next season), and there are already A LOT of fans calling for a statue of him to be placed outside Dean Court. He's been our Shankley, but he's still young enough he could be your's too.

Irrespective of the players that may or may not come in during the winter window I do hope to see him start out the way Bournemouth did in pl in their first season. That was a lovely season. Many hiccups but when they did get it right they were a joy to watch.
Watched the training session absolutely put through their paces, got constructive criticism but a morale boost as well as guidance, no more of this 3 days off training, Howe might not be a massive name, be he's a smart manager, does great training drills n wants the team to be a unit not just a bunch of individuals and no more just standing still, even after a year away he sounds like he's learnt even more than what he knew before, gonna be good times at St. James's soon!!!!

To be fair, the fact we got conte was a coup, And I think our players need the more disciplinary style of management, a lot of ours seem to think they can just show up and win But your absolutely right, howe is a damn good manager, as is evidenced by his 3-0 win against conte's Chelsea. I reckon his motivational management style is also gonna be amazing for their players, who probably feel greatly undervalued.

You certainly won't be parking the bus. Whether he's figured out how to be defensive without turning over the ball to get counter pressed and conceding will be interesting with your defense that's for sure.

Also looks as though he's going to put his heart and soul into it, last NUFC manager that done that was Sir Bobby but previous to Sir Bobby was King Kevin in the early 90s. Let us hope this is the beginning of better days at NUFC... I've stayed away from SJP for the 14yr that Fat Cashley owned the club. First game back in 14yr was against Chelsea, we were schooled by them but oh after all that time it almost brought tears to the eyes being in that sold out SJP being amongst the toon fans... Going to the Brentford game, win lose or draw, just happy to be back. And I'll be travelling from the West Coast of Scotland for all the home games.....
So glad he's our manager. I wanted him to come here before we hired Bruce. It's going to take a bit of time to get rid of our defensive mindset from both Rafa and Bruce, but Howe is the best fit to get the best out of ASM and other attacking players.
