I love it cause it such a different sound than everyone who uses the same few Elektron boxes to do technos. It has a real classic sound. Great job love your music.
Hallo Mati, I watched a lot of your videos and love them. May I ask a sensitive question: which is the sample sound you use there on Instrument 4 to create this nice cold high pitched atmospheric pad - I tried already and couldn't figure it out - if I'd know I probably would be able to do the rest 😅 - thank you so much for your inspiring sessions
Hi, thank you so much for listening to my stuff! The sample used is actually no mystery at all. It’s one of the factory waveform samples (something like sample 36-40 on the alpha base). It’s a sequence of 16th notes with varying pitch. At the begging you can only hear its reverb (achieved by plugging in a jack cable to instrument 4 out - this jack goes nowhere, it’s there just to mute the instrument’s dry sound). After some time the delay joins in but all the time it’s 100 wet Alpha Base’s fx sound.
@@macola467 it’s cool. I bought it to make transitions between tracks in live scenarios - looping the track, changing patterns on the ab, blending. I’ve yet to master this technique for consistent results, it’s not easy and it’s not present in this jam except for where it ends - you can hear a new track coming in but I cut it there because I messed it up. Other than that it’s a fun device for quick effects, although these effects are not particularly brilliant. I think if I can master the looping-blending technique it’s going to be perfect.

@ Thank you soo much Mati, it works well! 🥳
Impressive.
Nice intro, dude! 💯
Patiently awaiting to find a good price on a used MK1... 🙏
that's amazing. maybe I need to sell off 10 synths and just use this.
It’s less flexible though :) depends on your personal preference
I don’t know what you’d sell, but I am clearing out 5yrs of accumulated stuff the alpha base covers with zero regrets.
How do you like the rc-202?

This is only the alpha base?
@@tobiaswinkler6971 pretty much, except for some master processing as I wrote in the description.
