Saw them at the Boulder Theater. They were phenomenal! Spoke with them after the show and asked them about their playing. They said make every note count. Play every note with passion. Soulful, gems. Love them ❤
Best rig rundown sor far!!! Simple, informative and i love the idea of the artist performing a whole song at the end of the video. You should repeat this concept in futures rig rundown!!! Los Hermanos Gutierrez sound awesome!!!
Love these guys. I respect Dan for giving them the rub, but they had this sound from the start. Humble and kind with zero concern for gear or anything, just what works. El Camino De Mi Alma, Cerca De Ti, Mesa Redonda, Mi Amor. Much respect. I've never been this floored.
I just discovered these guys a few days ago and I cannot stop listening to them. Never have I been more stoked about music to the point I was already looking at their merch store. I am obsessed.
Thanks Guys I found my calling. This music for me is a way of life.I only found both of you a few days ago and I can not get enough of this. Please come to Australia.
these guys music has been helping me to cope with some hard times, in the middle of the floods in Southern Brasil, their music is some kind of refuge to me..thank you
This was super interesting! I freaking love their music, is absolutely awesome, and a thing that makes me love them even most is how kind and good persons they both seem. The emmit lot of peace, to be honest, and hearing them is almost as good as to listening to their music :) Cheers from Spain, sois geniales!
love these guys..............been listening to them regularly for a couple of years now.......great to get some more detailed insights into their gear (however I know that their sound really comes from the touch, and their connection - the gear they use are simply personal preferential details.....but you gotta love those old 'Patent Applied For' Gretsch pickups, and that acoustic Ricky though)
Loved seeing them on a recent tour! Thanks for this great video and thank you to the Hermanos Gutierrez. Couldn't help ordering an El Capistan after watching...
Saw this incredible duo open up for Jason Isbell @ The Ryman last Fall and it was one of those rare musical awakening moments for me. Thanks very much for adding them to the RR series and hopefully introducing them to even more new fans. They deserve every accolade they get and beyond.
Some of the most truly interesting music that I can ever remember being featured on a Rig Rundown! And they seem like the nicest guys, too! Thanks for doing this!
Their beautiful hypnotic music is so cool and unique. I like how true they are to their sound. It was really interesting to see their gear and pedals used to shape their sounds. Thanks!
Thanks to Uncle Larry for turning me on to these two. They are fantastic and their music creates such a cool mood. I picked up their latest CD and it is just a cool soundtrack to life.
This is so cool. I love the deliberate quietness and the atmosphere they create. I instantly thought this lends itself to a film soundtrack like what Leonard Cohen did for McCabe And Mrs. Miller.
Hypnotic Trance music, Very swirly with a Panoramic open canyon soundscape! Deep wide pocket that you FEEL! Beautiful Gentleman. Thanks for sharing I can't wait to see you live.
I haven't heard of these guys before this video, and even though I don't listen to this kind of music there's no denying that they're definitely talented as hell and they seem like really cool guys as well
so cool. Saw them about 6 years ago at a small gig in zurich, never heard of them before. i think they grew up in that area somewhere, now to see them having success is really cool.
Listening to Cerca De Ti for the first time on a Spotify shuffle playlist made me fall in love with their style. And being Mexican, really pulled on the heart strings about my heritage and where my lineage came from, especially the music. I always loved western style music, fashion, and movies. These guys are a work of art.
I love most of your Rig Rundowns, but this features at the very top. So freaking cool! Make sure to do an update on their gear soon. Estevan got a vintage model of the same guitar and incorporated a wah pedal for the "Sonido Cosmico" album sounds.
I love that this guitar magazine would dare to feature a different kind of music besides the same old blues rock and metal. Don’t get me wrong, I dig the blues and rock but man I like other kinds of music too and it’s refreshing to see these guys, their music is incredible. I’d love to see something about Calexico too. If you like these guys you’d probably like Calexico as well, similar style.
I have the exact same guitar (6120-59 Vintage Select) and it’s gratifying to see it rescued from it’s cliched reputation for “Rockabilly”. These awesome tone machines can do so much more as is evidenced here.
Listening to this kind of music makes going to the 7/11 feel like you’re in the movies.
There are so many moods wrapped in this music
Love this comment!
The coolest musicians in the world with the most emotional and beautiful music I have ever heard.
Saw them at the Boulder Theater. They were phenomenal! Spoke with them after the show and asked them about their playing. They said make every note count. Play every note with passion. Soulful, gems. Love them ❤
El Capistan

When I listen to this music I'm riding a horse across some vast expanse, blue skies, and the scenery is amazing. Their music is so unique and amazing.
Dudes are so humble... saw them in Brazil, one of the best live performances i've seen in years. Takes you to another dimension.
Hermanos Gutierrez songs are like M&Ms, you can never have just one!! Wow, what a treat to hear them live, thanks PG!!
Our pleasure!

Thanks to Uncle Larry for turning me on to these two. They are fantastic and their music creates such a cool mood. I picked up their latest CD and it is just a cool soundtrack to life.
I love to listen to these guys when I'm driving alone
This is so cool. I love the deliberate quietness and the atmosphere they create. I instantly thought this lends itself to a film soundtrack like what Leonard Cohen did for McCabe And Mrs. Miller.

The Silvertone 1446 model is the best electric guitar ever made.
this is the 666th rig rundown episode
It’s like a pulp fiction flashback on acid 😂
I was setting up for a band once and felt bad that i drank too much root beer at the bar for setting up for them because as they saw i spilt one
Gotta get an ID on those engineer boots 👀
What tuning is the lap steel in?
