Playing Harvest Moon SNES for The First Time | Harvest Moon SNES #1

Hello, I'm trying to play Harvest Moon SNES for the first time, and it seems like I need some adaptations to play this game because I feel a little confused about some of the game mechanics

Never really understood the mechanics either I played on the WII Virtual Console even though I was horrible with the mechanics I thought it was super fun like every Harvest Moon game except the modern ones made by Natsume. Harvest Moon Light of Hope is really bad.
