One of the "no one bothered to tell me and I didnt find any videos" that I experienced is the sewer openings in Bangkok. Of course, they are spread out and you can get used to it. What I did not expect is that Pattaya has 3+ sewer openings on every block on first and second road, 10+ down any soi, and sewer openings in front of every open air bar. I cant lie, the smell of Pattaya was gnarly

Glad to say that you and kiess one have inspired me to Thailand, selling all my possessions leaving my family and friends, have a smallish income to survive and will be making a RUclips channel, hope I can one day meet you once I get a few videos out leaving it till September so I can get things organised but it’s thanks to the likes of yourself who gave me the inspiration, I’ve no commitments no kids no mrs all I had was possessions and they now have been sold (everything I won’t need to travel) so it’s just saving, flights booked, visa is being applied for (M E T V) and insurance (I’m still getting quotes for) but I’m not even booking a hotel until i come

I'm from south Florida so I thought the humidity wouldn't be a big deal to me. I was there April 28th - May 24th. That first week was brutal in terms of the humidity in Pattaya. Worse than south Florida by quite a bit.

Wow, tons of good advice in this video. I hadn’t really thought about the climate plus the food making me sick. I never get sick here in North America. So that’s a great thing to be aware of. Moving to Pattaya in 45 days!

I think why from America we get sick is because we're used to GMO foods.

I was told about the travelers diarrhea before traveling there and was advised to take probiotics for 10 days prior to eating street food and it worked for me. I also buy electrolytes OTC in any pharmacy for pennies and take about 2 packets a week or more if I sweat alot that week. Great video with great info!!

April & May were obviously super warm (I lived in Miami in April-June 2022, and lived in DC 30 years). I did not have to adjust to food & street food, however. But I never catch colds and never had COVID-19- I'm 63, walk a ton, and I lift. Great content. I just got to Pattaya yesterday Thai time

May was brutally hot in Pattaya and Bangkok; 95-100 degrees every day. Best to stay indoors. If you are a mosquito magnet as I am watch out. I get eaten alive if I go outside without applying Deet spray and lotion. It doesn't hurt to apply when indoors too because they'll get you when you go to sleep. I never had any problems with the Thai food. I had a bad respiratory condition, which lasted around a week or so and everyone else in Pattaya was coughing and wheezing at the same time too. And yet I still like Thailand. People are nice and friendly and no worries about violent crime.

Yeah dude I see why people mask up here. I’ve taken to wearing one myself when I’m out. When I first got here I spent a few days walking around without one and the cough and feeling in my lungs I picked up pretty much immediately was gnarly.

I was in Thailand and Vietnam for 6 weeks last August/September and partied very hard the whole time, I only got sick the last couple of days before heading home to Australia. I ate and drank everything I could get my hands on, so I consider myself very lucky not to have gotten a lot sicker a lot more often!

Yeah the only issue I had was at a Thai BBQ Buffet in Chalong, Phuket. The meats were kept on ice but much of the ice had melt. Thankfully it did not give me food poisoning but definitely made it a huge risk if I coughed in public for the next 4 days. One cough and I probably would need new underwear
