2017 RMX450z/RMZ450 fuel pump filter change

- I recently did a search online for info for my Suzuki RMX450z Fuel pump filter and came up with very little. Suzuki does not provide any info on the pump and depicts it as non serviceable. Well, after doing some youtube searches and noticing the kx450 had a similar Keihin pump, I took my pump apart to determine the filter type. Looked like the filters on the KX450, so I found some similar ones out on ebay and Amazon. I went the Amazon route as they were in country and cheaper.

These filter looked very similar to stock and did fit my RMX450z fuel pump.
I think these filters also fit the RMZ450 and RMZ250 for certain year models.

Thanks man, you encouraged me to disassemble all this and clean the filter. Mine looks different, it's metalic mesh, so this might be the factory one. But I will replace with aftermarket, once it arrives. Thanks!
That RMX looks brand new
Its an older photo. I bought the bike used with only 105 miles on the odo for a decent price.

Back then I was thinking this bike is a hit! Don't get why the wasn't sold like other bikes...its was amazing bike when it was released
@@Motoinc I raced the 2 stroke Rmx250 thru most of the 90s. This RMX450z has a kicker but do I use it? Only when I have to...
Are these fuel pumps supposed to leak gas from where the nipple where the hose connects ? Leaks a little bit not too bad
Not while connected. If you disconnect them they will drizzle a little.
