My first reaction - This is crazy! Never in my wildest dreams I thought that no one but Queen could do Bohemian Rhapsody WOW! And as being swedish I had no idea Tommy had this skills, shame on me! Up to now I have only seen him as a great member of the Sabaton family, Thank you guys 🤩👌🤘
This song is really something most people should stay way from attempting to cover. To do this song ya have to be close to a genius level musician in the first place in order to make it justice. Think Freddie Mercury and the rest of Queen would be quite honored by this cover! It's not easy to do this song and make it justice!
Tommy plays guitarr, bass, piano, drums, recorder, accordion and mouth harp as I've seen. Wouldn't surprise me if he could find his way around other instruments as well. On his covers he usually use virtual drums, due to lack of space in his studio. He has been drummer in bands. He does all himself, arranging,, filming, editing mixing etc. Good at drawing, have decorasted some of his albums as well. It could be easy to be envious of his talents, if he wasn't such a humble, likeable guy with great humour. Started playing guitar at age 9, he's a musical veteran by now.
Yes, Sabaton - and his own band is "Majestica" - highly recommend to check it out. Especially now - they have a great Christmas-Album and Tommy too. Thanks guys 🎄
Sorry for beeing to much...(Tommy Johansson Cover/Halloween - Eagle Fly Free) but this is the best fucking version of this song you will ever hear. If i'm wrong...then of course you should tell me to shut the fuck up and probably tell me to never give a suggestion ever again. Peace and Love to you all 🙏❤️
Thanks for a great reaction especially regarding lovehating perfection. I am also astonished by the genius that was hidden inside Freddy Mercury. He was truly a great entertainer. I sure he could have created a complete musical. I also enjoy Tommy J:s covers - most of all the Gary Moore creations. He is one of a kind as well.
Just an FYI; Brian May went to college after Queen, received a bachelor and doctorate degree in aerospace engineering and went to work for NASA Space Center in Florida, USA.
can confirm what Hasma said at 7:36'ish? about the live concert... I saw them live on the 24th of July, 1982 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. {Billy Squier opened) The band basically left the stage during that operatic part of the song, and returned when it breaks back down into rock.
About the original, and the tempo and such - before they did anything else, Freddie played the whole thing on piano, from beginning to end. (in one take reportadly, don't know if it's true). Then everything else is recorded on top of that, drums, guitars, bass vocals and all. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the piano part Freddie orginally recorded, is the one you here in the final recording. He truly was a musical genious like no other.
and this makes me think of... Marc Martel who has done a one take recording, where he not only sings like Freddie (I mean really, really close to how Freddie sounded) - he also play the original piano arrangement, all throughout the song, while singing... Crazy talended guy! ruclips.net/video/QkCxE2Lh458/видео.html

Tommy Johansson plays guitar in the group Sabaton as you say BUT also sings and plays guitar in his group Majestica. Then Tommy does this.
What a legend
Tommy is a musical genius ❤❤❤❤ we love him so much!!! Appreciate your king from your generation, from someone born in the 1960s

Dan Vasc is the only other musician that can sing this besides Tommy. Tommy is magnificent!!! An absolute wonder❤

Just an FYI; Brian May went to college after Queen, received a bachelor and doctorate degree in aerospace engineering and went to work for NASA Space Center in Florida, USA.
and he still works with them, his work was crucial in recent asteroid landing

FYI, Brian May built his own guitar with the help of his dad because they couldn't afford to by one.
England always have had all the song played over radio 😊
they know what's good :D
Try a blind singer cover bohemian rhapsody by queen the longer version.she is 13yrs old
Brian May is a PHd in astrophysics, that's is on thing he did in his spare time.
Try cover of this song by Dan Vasc made 6 years ago
Not pissed off at all! I
yall should react to Abysm by Unprocessed😏😏😏
i discovered them way too late and they are absolutely incredible
Check out Dan Vasc channel does fantastic covers…this one included

😂😡
He not really playing anything why is he not showing in self Because he’s not simple as that
Never better than the original. His vocals are too dragged out. And I'm sure the intro is autotuned.
How can yoube sure?
