🔴Is This New $10K Truck Better Than Toyota's New $10K Truck?
🔔Let Us Know In The Comments Below!👇
No
Well early isn't Chevy electric and Toyota diesel
We need 10, 000 car or truck
Toyota has 100% more utility, and usability. Toyota is modular and has a ton of usable options. GM just took a car and put a bed on it. Not even in the same category.
Dependable buyable, inexpensive maintenance buyable,
i don't care how cheap it is. if it's electric, i won't be getting it
It's been in production for years. The new model is a 1.2L turbo inline 3cyl gas engine
I’m with you, put a gas engine in it and I’ll buy it‼️
I'm also with you on this.
No doubt, ask ford about the crappy lightning. No thanks
It's gas
Those greedy bastards will never sell a vehicle that cheap.
Exactly. They keep cutting production on the GMC Canyon to keep the price over $41,000 in my state. They are so greedy that they work with the stealerships to determine how hard they can screw the customers. I have never seen a 2023 or 2022 Canyon that was under $41k. Worse, they refuse to deal or drop the prices. I give up. GM can sit on those trucks and let em rot for all I care.
No way $10,000 dollar truck wont happen!
This ad is NOT from the manufacturer.
Even a $15k new vehicle would get people lining up to buy it here in the US market. The first auto maker to do it will immediately take a huge market share and sell millions of units
A $15k truck is not possible! This is just marketing bs! There would DEFINITELY NOT be a profit margin in a 15k truck, and no American truck manufacturer would allow that! They LOVE their profits more than anything in this world!
$10k won't even get you an upper scale golf cart.
This is obviously a scam ad ... but why?
If it runs on gas I will buy one. If it is electric or hybrid you can take it to the junk yard.
GM can’t make a $10,000 glovebox cover profitably.
If it doesn’t have a range of at least 300 miles it isn’t a truck it is a glorified garden cart.
I would be interested if it had a 2L engine.
"The Chevrolet Montana is set to be released in 2023 and will cost around $25 000." (Chevrolet Reviews, Dec. 7, 2023) $10,000? Don't think so.
I will take 2 of them! PURE FICTION!
Pricing for the all-new 2024 Chevy Montana in Mexico is as follows:
2024 Montana LT: 510,400 pesos (about $30,370 USD at the current exchange rate)
2024 Montana RS: 574,100 pesos ($34,160 USD)
truth
10,000 it will never happen.
Oh Yes it will!
Not in the North American market. None of the auto manufacturers will sell for that price after safety and emissions standards . No way ! These ads are a joke .
This is just another way to entice people to "Go Green". No thanks, we don't want what you're pushing.
Never and Never !
The 10,000 may be the base price but no one will be able to buy one at that price. By the time you add dealer add-ons and accessories where still going to be talking 40,000 to 50,000.
At least it's your choice what options you pick. The way it is now, you have to take an expensive package with 10 things you don't want just to get the one thing you want. This is the way vehicles used to be sold. Way better for the consumer. Also, if you can't afford an option now, just get it later.
We will wait for Toyota to do their magic
Yep. I’m really hoping they can manage to get something like the Toyota IMV-0 into the US
When I see it selling for 10 Grand at a Chevy dealership I will believe it.
I hope GM brings this truck to the States, they need to compete in this category, and there is a market for it here.
They need to offer it in the usa! 🌳🌳🌳🌿🌿🌿🌿
LOL! Yeah, I can just imagine what GM will put out for $10,000 !
Must be a tonka toy truck 😂
A cardboard box with wheels drawn on the side, which won't be straight.
They won't put anything out at that price. At best, they'll advertise a cheap truck "starting at $15,000", but there will never be a truck on the lot with the "base price". Only trucks with added options. They've been doing that for years! Look for an Explorer at base price. There are NONE.
@@timkopp2204 Exactly. In fact, Ford dropped the base model Bronco so they can really screw the customers over. I have decided I will never buy Ford or GM for the next few years. I have given up trying to buy a new car and will hang onto my 2016 VW.
The Montana was a Pontiac minivan here in the states, back in the early 2000's
My sister bought one at an auction for $3,000 . It's really nice .
Build a simple, small truck with 2 doors and a larger bed.
How does it go in deep snow, is it 4 wheel drive, size engine
A $10K truck really means $30-35k out the door and a glorified landscaper cart.
Easy manual windows transmission get rid of all computers. A retrofit to the 60 and 70’s plain Jane. Don’t NEED all the luxury. Yeepee.
Maybe 10K after 3 yr lease. But likely 20K plus new.
It looks like the years of being ripped off by car manufacturers is coming to an end 😎😎
🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭 you think?
This needs to be bought online without going through these greasy salesmen. or the cost will be doubled?? 😞
It won't work that way. Look at how GM does it. If you try to start with a base model Colorado on their website, add ONE option and they force you to get a whole package of options that slaps on $3,000 onto the price. You can't pick anything. It's just gouging here and there. Eff GM. They can sit on their overpriced crap for all I care. Same for you Ford.
GM & Quality in one sentence 😂. Seriously, GM & Quality is like fire & water... not compatible.
The only one that is a truck shown is the Toyota IMV 0. All the rest are SUVs with the last 3 feet cut off the back so it is an open trunk. They are not even a pickup. If you can not lay a 4x8 sheet of plywood in it it is not a pickup or a truck.
A chevy mini truck would be just fine with me, providing it can be had in a 2 door cab configuration. I need it to run errands down to my local Grange Coop for hay/ straw/ and feed/ fence posts etc. Don't even need ac, or a radio/nav stuff. Just barebones will do just fine.
Is this Chevy Montana for the U.S. market?
Not Gonna Happen. In 1987 my Dad bought a bare bones Toyota Hi-Lux 4×4 for $9385. This isn't in the realm of reality.
Well if Toyota has it going on I think that's great Toyota is a good auto maker I would be happy to purchase a 4 door truck
If it had an ICE, option. Frozen batteries and general lack of infrastructure are not selling points.
It probably won't be available in the US we only get the most expensive garbage
I have never owned a truck, but for 10K I might buy one.
This would kill in the US. 10,000 is cheap and you wouldn’t be able to keep up production. I’d buy one today! This truck is perfect for women. Not to big not to small. Bring it to north America please!
Toyota IMV zero truck has it right. By pass the dealership to lower the price by sale direct to consumers !!!
I live in a very rural area of Arizona. Gas or Diesel and easy to work on ! Only way to go HERE ! CLOSEST DEALER TO ME , 80 MILES!
Recyclable Truck ...60 months and in the bid.
I don’t know whether they’ll be able to hit the $10,000 mark for the pricing on the truck but if they do something comparable to what they do with the 2024 Chevy Trax which is 21 to 26,000 price range with all the standard amenities that they have maybe even using a platform similar to that Chevy Trax of 2024 they might be able to dominate that market because most of the competitors like the Santa Cruz the maverick or even the Ridgeline range from 25 to 30,000 and up… I currently own a 2024 Chevy Trax and I’m more than happy with it and Chevy already has a factory producing parts for it, They could probably expand the factory where they make the Chevy Trax and make them on time of their
I like the tax but where I live I need awd
4 doors and 4’ bed is not a truck
This is not going to happen unless they can only be worked on at a dealership.
"Your repair number is 18,648. We'll call you."
They'll never sell a new truck for 10k that just gets you in the door.
In Canada that 10000 vehicles is45000 that’s how greedy the Dealers are
A $10k truck would be amazing
Amazing wasn't the word i was thinking of... lol
This needs to be called the Chevy California, not the Chevy Montana.
How much is it with an engine?
It's the El Camino all over again, 2024
It all comes down to price. All automakers have priced new cars out of reach for the average working class family. Most customers would prefer A full size truck but do not want to spend 50 - 60 thousand on one. I will believe the 10,000.00 price tag when I see it.
Dealers would tack an extra 5 grand on them so they will not be 10 grand
$10,000? Get real!
Yea! 10k base price but only available with 12k of options!
The Price is where its at
It better be sold in the US. Made in the US would be good too. It's not sold in the US because they don't meet US emission standards. I tried like crazy to get a FourTwo diesel. Instead they rebranded the car into a Smart car and met US emissions with lousy MPG for the car 35-37 at best. Couldn't even meet the old Geo performance and mileage. No 50mpg. Get rid of all the extra electrical stuff, and it would be nice. Go back to bare bones. I don't need a truck that has an infotainment center, or back up camera. I understand having an efi system, but even that can be a pain, due to the brain box. IDK, whatever happens will happen. Personally I'd rather have an old 46 Chevy stepside. At least you didn't need a degree to work on them. easy peasy
I just call Cooper Chevrolet in Anniston Alabama they said it's BS .
So, they're gonna make a 150% profit? Considering the $10,000 Montana is selling for $25,000.
I have a 07 Silverado crew cab I bought new. I'm retired and would love to buy another small truck to carry light load and tow my 5x8 trailer around town. I think this truck would be great unless the add on prices runs it up to high. I have looked at the ford base modal starting at 20,000 but you can't find one for less than 29,000. I am not in a hurry to buy but I am watching the market for a small cheap truck to go on sale. My truck is a good one, but a small truck would be more convenient. I have a good used truck and the price of used trucks is crazy high so I will stay with my truck till I find what I think is a good deal for me. Not in a hurry lucky for me
My graded would love it.10k I'll believe it when I see it.
well, engine, seats and steerin wheel including wheels are optional premium package :))
Which manufacturer wood be best for the $10,000 price tag?
Something from China.
By the time the dealerships get a hold of it they will bump the price to where no one can afford it .
Considering the national climate toward EVs, if GM wants to fail make this truck an EV. I for sure will not get one even if they give it away.
A real truck looks good daily driver gm is stepping up American made.
Ain't buying prices way too high, all lies as usual. Better to buy a different brand that is reliable. 🤔
Younger buyers need only trucks vehicles they can get.
Someone needs to fill this need.
Honda did this back in 1970s.
It will help Chevy to servive.
I need to know the MPG. It was never said.
Any small midsize truck other than a toyota more than 20k wouldn't make sense. I would spend the extra for peace of mind or down payment on a house.
I would buy one if it truly is a 10,000 truck..
But highly unlikely that it is…
8 or 10k Mary I'm buying one. Thank you. For looking out for the reg guy😅
One year payment plan still out of reach for most buyers.
Where was it 2 month ago ??????????
mary mary mary, where is the 10k pickup truck you promised in june and a month ago. im waiting. thank you .
Must be reliable and last 150,000 miles
And None of these will ever be for sale in largest truck market in world, USA.
Is this gonna be like the volt?
I would wait ...Chevy hasant really proven themselves lately like they used to in the 90s
I'll take the Toyota IMV Zero any day. The rest can be used for parts or landfill
It's not really $10K, Argentina prices show it at $48K so this is kind of BS. I love the idea of an affordable pickup. I think the price tag lure is a lie
This truck at 10,000 maybe 15,000 build Chevy tough, what they mean what they say maybe I'll buy one but we all know it comes down to the money.
The Montana is already sold in South America w 1.3 fuel engine.put a 1.5 turbo in it will sell in america
Let’s see if they keep their word bc I’ve already tried to buy one and I can’t find a dealer ship with one for sale, I miss the 1970’s when the American people held all the cards, now it’s oh they said we can’t do that, what happened to American instead of American’t ‼️‼️ we the people still buy, vote and pay for everything so tell me why are we not holding everyone every company accountable for what we want‼️‼️‼️ someone let me know if you know any auto dealership ford, GMC or Toyota that holding to their word and selling a 10,000 to 15,000 truck‼️‼️
Screw features. That's what usually breaks. How can they do it for 10k? 'cause they've been screwing buyers for years with insane markups. Lose the power windows and touch screen crap. Buttons and knobs are fine. Less techy junk is my selling point.
Is it front wheel drive? If so, my answer is no way.
Ford made a 20k hybrid, it is full of recalls. Maverick.
That will be great like the late 80s
Thanks chevy
4x4 ? If not ,I want buy it
ELECTRIC VEHICLES , 80% PROBLEMS!! 😮
Ten thousand dollars ridiculous as the price of a motorcycle
A new golf cart is 7-15k. Gm can't build anything with union labor for that!
You can never trust:
1) a truck that is based on a car
2) GM "quality"
I hope nice truck roomy
Can't they just make a simple truck!! Start making them the way WE WANT! Let the customer build it. Then submit it via computer. And, the vehicles today have too much electronics. I don't need "gadgets" on a truck. Get the basics by letting us build our own. Manual seats, manual door locks, etc.
Electric Trucks... A new sucker born everyday!
China has such vehicles, they have zero star crash ratings, and batteries that catch fire.
The economy must be in for some really big crash if all these car companies are going to start selling 10k trucks.
All these new "trucks" are not trucks. They are suv's with a tiny worthless box. We need to classify what a real truck is in that it has to have a standard cab with an 8ft box period. Anything different should have a different name and classification. Cafe standards need to be changed for trucks so they are not forced to meet higher passenger capacity to be profitable for manufacturers to make.
Give me a cheap vehicle without the TV screen blocking the view, without the useless "safety" clutter, without giga hp, but with a standard tranny and a reliable ICE engine. I don't need air, carpets or a sound system. I have a smart phone so all of the "infotainment" nonsense is beyond redundant. Heck! I'll even wind down my own windows! There's no one I need to impress. Strip out the computers, the turbos, and give me inexpensive but reliable transport and I'm all yours. Rugged minimalism is the new cool.
Yes, they just don't get it !!!
Sorry but they can't make those giga-bucks selling something like that, even though it's something I would buy.
I'm buying 2
Will be a shootout for best 10k truck s 10 vs the.little taco
I echo the comments of those before me. I don't care how cheap it is....if it's electric it's a hard pass!!!
