Hollywood ops CM here. No, RNRC is not being re-themed. Yes, they just did a refurb on it in 2023. They planned a full refurb which would have taken around 6 months, but wanted to have it open for the summer. So instead they broke it up into two shorter ones. The first one addressed cosmetic updates (cleaning up and fixing the building and the show elements on the ride), and the second will deal with technical and mechanical updates to the ride system. It will still be the same ride, but hopefully smoother and less prone to breaking down. Hope this answered some of your questions.

@@beccac6812 I hope so too. I went on it years ago and it was my favorite. This last time it hurt my back. I do have back issues so I was thinking I just wouldn't ride it again but maybe I will after the refurbishment. 👍

@@robertcalifornia7505 I have no idea, but the last one was late February through late may. I can totally see this one taking longer but I’m guessing they want to have it open by the summer like last year.

I was scared for a second! I thought you meant Rock n rollercoaster was closing for good 😭 Thats one of my fav rides in Disney World so im glad its not!♡

It needs a retheme like overseas. Since they can’t use IronMan and CaptMarvel, maybe Wall-E and Eve instead…

When I went to Disney back in march with most of my fam, big thinder was the first ride we went on, and since their is a pretty decent size difference between me and my sister ( which is who I rode with on the ride) the lap bar didn’t touch my lap , so I was hanging on to my sister the whole time, but it was still fun, my cousin who is a year younger than me had the same problem cause he was sitting with his dad, so after we rode, big thunder, we said that we were going to ride together on every roller coaster we went on ( cause we are very close in size), we went on big thunder again five minutes later cause there was still like no line, cause we got there super early and ran to big thunder

I’m sooooo sad that rockn roller coaster will be closed. Our first ever trip it was closed and now that we’re going again it still won’t be open and I really was looking forward to riding it! 😢

I’m very upset to hear that Rock n Roller coaster will be closed for a bit. We always go to Disney at the end of February and it was closed last year this time!!😞

2024, all of them are refurbishments so they’re temporary closures. And the dates are unknown for reopening for all of fhem
