10:04 to be fair, Giancarlo Esposito wasn't too well known at the time, so you wouldn't have guessed it was him when the episode was first released. Now n days you'll recognize him right away and immediately assume it's him.
When this came out, pretty much nobody knew Giancarlo Esposito (Gus), so it was actually a kinda big reveal that he was indeed the person walt was supposed to meet. This was his breakout role and boy oh boy did he ace it. Its what made him famous
Yeah, he was a supporting man for the most part in the 90's and as 1 episode characters mostly in the 80's. His face was not new to me tho as an 80's kid. He was in some big movies in the 90's (King of New York, Malcom X) just he wasn't a leading role. He still isn't really a leading actor. He is a tried and tested supporting actor. But certainly not a new face to me by the time BB came around.
Correct yourself *white people didn’t know Giancarlo Esposito. He was in Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing and other things.
I knew him from Fresh (1994).
@@sinjin4563 I'm white. Correct yourself.
@@sinjin4563 I'll correct the statement to "most people under 35 didn't really know him..."
But that's all you're gonna get lol
9:37 - That reaction to the Skyler singing scene is basically universal. Everyone cringes at it. It's like a rite of passage in the BB community.
Can you imagine that in real life. That'd be so uncomfortable and everyone would be like "WTF is going on right now?".
Yayyy I made it🥳
What always blew me away about the Skyler singing scene was that all the other employees are so enthusiastic about it. The boss is there, yes, but still. My Lord.
Yeah, in real life everyone would have shocked looks on their faces looking at each other like "WTF are we witnessing right now?"
Your face during the happy birthday scene. Too good.
Ugh 😩 one episode a week of the best show ever made IS NOT ENOUGH Evie!
Great work Evie...your fun to share time with. Thank you.
It seriously cracks me up that in a show about drug dealers and killers, the cringiest moment is Skyler singing happy birthday.
19:46 "... let's say that they had this meeting and then Walter gets the text from Skyler saying "baby's coming" he could have sent Jessie to deliver it..." 😂
It sounds like I’m talking about the baby doesn’t it🤣
So fun rewatching the best show of all time with you!
The Man, the Myth, the Legend: Gustavo Fring! Btw, "Mandala" means "circle", it's a reference to the "wheel of life", as the episode starts with the death of Combo and ends with Skyler going into labor. 🤯
I need your reactions all at once to the rest of the show 😅 love that you're into it.
I like that u blame both Jesse and Jane. I think most tend to just blame Jesse, but I agree they are both adults and both to blame.
It keeps getting better and better, doesn't it? Just like everyone told you haha. Stakes are getting higher, they will continue to get higher but rest assured - the writing is on point and the story progresses naturally and never gets over the top. Enjoy the ride! And nice reaction as well!
I think one of the most unrealistic parts of the show is that Skyler had no signs of labor and Walt had one hour to do the drop. And he would have less than that left by the time he got to Jesse’s and she texts him. And then the baby is already born by the time he gets done with that. I know some deliveries are fast but man that just seems unlikely. 😂
That baby really wanted out🤣 but I get your point lol anything for the ✨drama✨🤪
@@eviereacts yeah lol that girl was ready to see the world! 😂 It’s not totally unrealistic considering birth CAN happen that fast, it’s just so rare haha. And Walt seems to have incredible luck most of the time outside of that lol.
9:03 "Oh my God, can I _not_ be here?" Welcome to what some argue is the most cringe moment in the whole series. 😆 Your reaction is pretty universal.
Wait till next season when you see the scene that made me jump straight up out of bed and hit the ceiling. 😯
It's gonna blow your mind Evie! 😆
Wait which episode of season 3 are you talking about? I’m curious🤭 (I’m on season 4)
@@eviereacts I will give to a clue ......
Walt says to Jesse - "Run!" 🙂S3 - E12
I was curled up in bed, dead to the world, struggling to stay awake to the end of the episode. My eyes got wide when the guns came out. Then it happened ........
"OMG!!!!"
In one second, I jumped straight up from from a sleeping position, to having to use my hands to keep my head from striking the ceiling. I was so full of adrenaline I couldn't go back to sleep! 🤣
True they are both kinda to blame I mean he told her to leave she wanted to help him but in his time of need she went in there to console him and use his sadness as an excuse to use again it's like she didn't want to break her recovery but at the same time she was tempted and wanted to but he didn't know that Heroin was her drug of choice that was really bad for him
I guess Skyler was doing the whole 'Marilyn Monroe singing to John Kennedy' thing but it was cringy af regardless.
I watched Better call Saul first so i'm familiar with Gus from there so i know exactly how he is and why he showed he had done his homework knowing about Walter's biz n all that.
The whole delivery time is crazy too. This episode kinda felt like an episode of The Bear lol, that show every episode is stressful af but is def one of the best shows on tv
Giancarlo Esposito is the GOAT...
And that scene between Ted & Skylar was so cringe 😬
Well we now have gus,,,i think he is in the top 3 character s. And evie have you given any thought on watching 2 episodes at a time? A few reactors did that. We do t have to wait a year or so to get through.
No Jesse could not have made the deal because he told him that Gus would never have to see Jesse he is just his partner he won't have to deal with him because he's a drug addict and Gus doesn't want to work with a drug addict but he could have met him halfway and left the drugs with Walter to save him some time had he not been high but only Walt could make the drop
holy fuck i still cringe my guts out with that birthday scene.
The sh*t's gettin deep now. ✊
Yeah, i haven't cringed much watching but when she sings happy birthday i can barely watch.lol...
Meltda
In an episode where Combo gets shot to death by a child, Skyler singing to Ted is the most brutal moment. I love Skyler, but that scene is just the worst.
😍
