Chris this was magnificent. Literally looking through bmpcc 4k videos to really get a feel for the things it can achieve as I'm looking to either purchase one for myself or rent one for my upcoming project(that just happens to taken place primarily in Detroit). The way you made this beautiful city look was breathtaking and inspiring and has only further convinced that this one of the of the cameras not only for the job but for me. Would love to know more about how you go these smooth shots and more lenses that work well with the Black Magic cameras! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Hey Bin thanks so much for the comment! Something to keep in mind is I shot this on the original bmpcc which has a different sensor than the 4K so it’s gonna have a different look. That said the 4K is a great camera and most ppl would argue it’s better than the original. I shot this video on a gimbal for smoothness and I only have one lens for this camera so can’t really help you there.
I feel like i'm watching Spiderman 2 for most of this... ABSOLUTELY STUNNING ✨ and very film like, honestly you nailed the Emulation as oppossed to others i've seen on RUclips...
Really makes me want to buy the OG BMPCC again! The music is beautiful. I see you did sound design but did you also compose the score? I'd love to hear more of that.
This is my second time watching this kind of video. this videos give a different vibe. my first time watching this kind of video was the video of gawx 2. btw keep doing this and if possible try ways to reach out different audience as well, as the target audience of this videos are less. but you should keep doing this
I own one of the original BMPCCs also, and I want to shoot more with it for little projects like this, but haven't ever gotten an external power source for it. The handful of batteries I have for it last about 20 minutes tops. Cool video though!
hmm, your photo quality is on a totally different level than everyone else using the little Black magic pocket original camera.. is this not the 4k or 6k camera? how did you increase the image quality in post to get this compared to the lower resolution one often see in videos by the pocket original camera?' a few questions in need of help.. I want to start making money on videography in poetic mood is this camera possible to work with professional or am I better off going with he p4K camera? when it comes to focus, I see 99% of the videos on RUclips by the original camera is never in focus.. is a blurry but dreamy and beautiful look BUrt, can one get this camera focus to work very clearly, like a portrait to see eyes, expressions etc.? I cannot find any videos showing clear focus? and if we we an external screen on top of the built in screen is it possible to still use the built in screen for the meny at the same time as we check everything I the external screen? pease advice. have found a seller both of the original and the p4k now.. already got 4/3 lenses from my gh3.. but need advice so that I can actually work professionally and trust it working out for me.. kind regards from Sweden!
Thanks so much! I’ll try to answer all your questions the best I can. This is the original pocket cinema camera, not 4K or 6k. I didn’t enhance the image at all in post, as you can see the video is in 1080p. I personally wouldn’t use this for professional work, I have another camera for that, but I think you could if you rigged it out. Not sure what you mean about the focus I’ve seen plenty of videos of this camera in focus. You can use an external monitor.
Who did the sound design for your video Christopher? Everything is very impressive here. Hopefully you'll continue to excel in everything you do my friend.
The sound design, the composition, the color, the vibe, I loved everything in this.
Thanks so much!
My god that OG still looks amazing. Such a sleeper.

Combination of the sensor and DNG equals magic! I bought Sigma FP cause of it and it didn't dissapoint!

Yeah I’m just using third party internal batteries. They def don’t last long but hasn’t been an issue for me.
I love it ♥ I'm a film enthusiastic and I'm looking for a budget way to get that film style of Sam Reimi's Spiderman movie
Thank you!
Jesus Christ. Fucking magnificent.
Thank you!
дуже гарно
продовжуйте, в вас талант!
я ніколи не був в цьому місті, але це неймовірна картинка
Lovely, lovely film. Can you tell us what gimbal you used to steady the camera?
Thank you! It was an old zhiyun crane not even sure what model got it years ago
It looks amazing, very well done! I have the same came but still struggling with understanding how the powergrades work...

I wish the same video could be shot in Chicago :)
I'm sure I'll make it over there one day
How do you solve the issue of license to use the music source? The music is perfect.
I use epidemic sound

Nice. A video that makes me question the FX3 choice.
I have an fx3 too! They’re both great cameras for different reasons.
