By watching at your video I think you didn't explore Melaka that much. Only selected places around Jonker and Dutch Square areas. Satay Celup probably either at the Capitol Satay Celup at Bukit Cina or at Jalan Ong Kim Wee . Food cost are pricy mainly because u r eating at the tourist eating/dining spots and they are too commercialised. The locals will not eat at such places 😂. Daily Fix Cafe serves reasonably good food n it can be very pack with long queues during the weekends. Preferred Satay Celup stall will be at Jalan Ong Kim Wee. Most of your visited places are thru video shooting while driving in a car. Overall, u need to know a bit about the historical story of Melaka In order to enjoy your trip . From the Dutch Square u can actually climb up to the St Paul's Hill and down to A Formosa Fort. Lots to explore over there plus 2 Museums around there too. Go for the boat ride along the Melaka River. U probably will enjoy the views. Let me just introduce to u a few famous local food stalls. Like the Fried Oyster , wan tan mee and popiah. They are located at the same street in Bunga Raya. Tengkera Duck Noodles at Kota Laksamana, Baba Low restaurant ( famous curry laksa, mee siam and cendol ) , Taiwan Noodles at Bachang, Chicken rice ball which u can eat at most of the places in Melaka. There are 2 shops selling it at the Jonker too, Portuguese food at the Portuguese settlement Square, Mee Rebus Hassan and many more....... Just these few and u will be surprised with the delicacies and with cheap or reasonable prices. Hope tis little tips will help you for your next visit. Good luck and Happy holidays.
