I did this solo it took me like 4hrs. So much nicer with help for sure. You definitely need the projector before installing the screen on the wall, the height and distance dictates where you need the screen, I showed that in my review. I enjoy your videos, great job.
That's a great setup! Would it be possible to know exactly what is the cabinet that's holding the TV / Receiver / center speakers? Is it custom made? I'm looking for something similar to accommodate my setup but it's really tricky to find something like this...
I like it! I think, if it were my space, that I would get some full length theater curtains and cover the entire wall. That way you wouldn't see the black-out curtains behind the screen
Very cool idea. I was hoping the screen would fully cover the window but it was about 3 inches too short. I absolutely love the idea of doing a full length theater curtain and will be doing some research!!🙌🏻👍🏻👌🏻I could even make a wooden cover to fill that Gap at the bottom of the window and stain it like the black entertainment center I made, then no need to have curtains showing🤔
I have thought about that but it would still leave the window ledge protruding. I am considering designing and building maybe a mantel type cover or maybe a full wall media shelve system for storing movies potentially. Lots of thinging on this to do! Maybe use some old pallet wood🤔🤔🤔
Ive recently purchased this screen after watching your reviews and paired it with a Vava projector. It's is beautiful and handles the light perfectly but I have what I will call a hotspot that causes a bad reflection in the middle portion of the screen, even at night. Any tips or tricks to fix this? This is my first projector experience so any help would be greatly appreciated.
@@Youthman Thank you for responding! I wanted to ask someone with personal experience in setup to make sure I wasn't missing anything. I will reach out to them.
I know exactly how your friend feels there.. I started on 2009 and since then never went back to TVs.. I’m sure your friend will end up giving away (selling perhaps) that tv... now make sure he gets some good subwoofer 🔊😜😅😂 and get kick out of the house 😬😜
Hello. Could you please recommend me an amp that would work great with a 3.1 front sound stage of rf7iii's and the matching center that wouldn't break the bank? I have a Denon AVRX4200W currently. Thank you so much! Does an amp make a significant improvement? Thanks again!
What is your budget? “Breaking the bank” looks different for everyone. In my experience, a powered amp does make a difference but it’s not a night and day difference.
@@Youthman yeah u left us waiting here! i'd love to hear your opinion on DIY MDF painted screens vs100$-200$ screens vs high-end one like the one u got there!
I sure hope they didn't put the fabric onto the frame upside-down. The way Elunevision designed their light absorbing "ridges" definitely makes it so that the screen only works properly in one orientation. Kinda looked in the video like they might have had it the wrong way up if this is the Reference 8K UST (as the title says) and not the Aurora 8K UST that uses a different ridge design than the Reference 8K UST. Hopefully I am mistaken.
There were not any indication on the back of the fabrics that suggested a “This end up” and there were not any instructions that mentioned the screen had to be a certain direction. Without a label, it would be difficult to determine which way is up.
@@Youthman That's a major oversight on Elunevision's part to not make that very clear for the customer. It's well-explained on their website how the "ridges" are basically like little triangle "teeth", with one side being light-absorptive, and the other side being light-reflective. It's more pronounced on the Aurora UST version, but a similar idea for the Reference UST. With no clear indication or instructions, I guess you'd have to resort to shining a flashlight on it yourself. It should be extremely visibly obvious. Shine the flashlight from the bottom edge of the screen facing up, and it should be bright. Then shine the flashlight from the top edge facing down, and almost all the light should get absorbed.
The center channel is fine as we have it angled directly towards the listening position. Plus as we will explain in the next video, we can’t mount the projector any higher to align with the screen
I think it looks awesome but I Do not use mine when I’m watching a movie. I find it distracting but some people like it. I think it looks really cool when you’re not watching a movie or for gaming
Hey youthman I have a pb 16 ultra 2 tower and 2 atmos abs speakers I am looking for a sale for them I bought it but I am in need of the money let me know if you have anyone interested it’s perfect condition
Tripple thumbs up Micheal for helping a veteran and fellow HT enthusiast out, hope you had a great day buddy! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Can't wait to see how this all comes together!
These are real men. Put things together without reading the manual.
Haha maybe that’s why it took us so long to get it put together 😂😂😂
My wife always said that reading directions caused a man's testosterone to drop. She was sure that was why I never read any directions!
Lol that is 2 funny

Love your videos. Have gained a lot of inspiration towards building my first dedicated home theater from you and your videos. Thank you.
Awesome Chris! I’m so grateful the videos are helpful.
Good job Youthman helping out. Also thanks to elunevision.
That's a pretty sweet looking projector screen. 😉👍
Awesome video, can't wait to see the second part. Please thank your friend for his service for me.
Thanks Roberto
Roberto Val thank you. Proud to serve and would do it again even knowing the pain I would have to live with.🇺🇸
I like that screen! Cool vid Youthman!
Nice! My room I'm working on is about the same size. have you thought about getting a seamstress to hem the curtain?
The window ledge is just below the edge of the screen

We didn’t see any hotspots on the two screens that we reviewed. I would reach out to them to see what they recommend.

Absolutely. I’m going over tonight to shoot the next video
Youthman make sure you get the food and don’t starve your friend this time 😅
That’s awesome. Can’t wait to see how the content looks like.
wish they had a screen for UST that was ok for speakers behind the screen.
Yeah I’m not sure you can have an ALR screen that is acoustic transparent because of the ridges in it

I’m so glad you know other people’s finances and their credit card purchases. True friends don’t feel the need to impress each other.
@@Youthman It was a joke bud
Is the autora model better os it this the best screen they have for a 4k ultra short throw projector?
Aurora is their higher end screen
Youthman thanks!!
And which would you recommend for the Aurora, the Optoma cinemax P1/ Vava 4k/ Xoami/ or the LG as a short throw?
Awsome video Youthman I really enjoyed it. Happy Thanksgiving Youthman

Tell him to get that center channel up higher. At least on the top shelf of that small TV stand.

Oh, I see now.
Great video. Spell check! It's Elunevision (with an "e" in the middle) yes?
Whoops!
