- In this video you learn how to get started using the Octi-Hoops Free Motion Embroidery Kit. Embroider by printing on our Stick and Rinse stabilizer with your template and then rinse it away. Great for children too! I'm using the Baby Lock Crescendo sewing machine in this video - all painted up :)

Thank you!
Ahhhh, better w/o the music. Such a logical approach!
Hi Clare. Came across your you tube channel and it is the best. You are so creative. I have shied away from doing machine embroidery and free motion quilting because it always seemed so intimidating and difficult to me but you make it look so easy and enjoyable. What is also great is I don't have to buy a sewing machine with an embroidery module. I have subscribed to your channel and will be buying those Octi-hoops. Thanks again for your wonderful and informative videos.
marcia leacock aww 😁 thank you!!
Just ordered the special feet, stabalizer, the fabric glue, thread and the Octi hoops! Can't wait to receive it. My son will be going to USA and I am having it shipped to the place where he will be staying. Very excited!
Lizette Lehmkuhl It is so much fun! :) Thank you for taking so much effort to acquire my products. :)

Doki Doki Cosplay thank you!!
Hi Clare, I bought this at PIQF years ago and just pulled it out again. I love seeing the creativity and want to get making stuff. My question today is: Do you remove the bottom stabilizer on the garment? I have had shirts that itch when it is left on. TIA, Ann
You do. This is why I ironed the Hold Light stabilizer onto to back of the towel before adhering it to the Stick and Tear. This lighter holding non-adhesive stabilizer comes off easier and helps to remove the stronger holding adhesive stabilizer and also prevents you from pulling out loops in the Terry Cloth.
I was really hoping it is possible to do something so detailed with freemotion. I want to make a gift using this method
It is much easier than using a foot. 😁
This is so new to me. It's great.
I have just bought a set not tried them yet hoping next week very very new to sewing have not tried the sewing machine yet either so huge learning curve.........
You can do it! :)
So, after you removed the butterfly at the very end, you use it like an applique? What if I wanted to embroider a canvas or jean purse or tote with a picture? How would I do that? Thank you.
Pretend the blue fabric was a jacket. The same procedures would be used 😊
Thx Clare. :)
WOW! WELL DONE!
from Lisa
Thank You!
What are the factors that allow you to use your machine with no foot on it? I have a babylock jazz 2 what do I need to do to be able to use it like that?
Don't tell the machine you're doing free-motion. Select a straight stitch and lower the feed dogs, and remove the foot, but be sure to lower the foot bar before sewing.
Awesome, Clare! Hey, a suggestion - I would love to see a "wish-list" feature on your site. Cuz I can't remember what I had left in my cart last time (is gone now)... (blonde) ;)
MsJM We had a wish list setup but it was not working well - perhaps that's why your items disappeared. We'll be updating our site in a few months and should have that option back up and it will work really well. If you need help determining what you need, feel free to ask. I can even call you should you want. :) If yes, info@creativefeet.com is the address to give me your phone number.
What is the best stabilizer to use on a t shirt. Going to embroider a shirt but heard the stick and tear might not be best for the wash is this true?
Iron our Hold Light stabilizer to lock the fabric's stretchy behavior onto the back of the shirt just about an inch bigger than the embroidery design before applying the shirt to the Stick and Tear and you'll ❤ that the stick and tear pulls off the back easier and enjoy no puckers. If you want perfect add our Cover Up to the top as a permanent Topper.
Following these steps allows you to digitize fewer stitches which is better for the shirt, speeds up the sewing process and saves thread! We've got you covered and sell to factories that follow our guidelines increasing profits and customer satisfaction because after washing it stays the same.
@@clare-rowley Thank you for your response! I read you wrote digitize, just to be clear Ill be attempting this free hand with octihoops not a programmed design. Does this change anything? And also any other advice to free hand big pictures onto t-shirts. Bigger than the octihoops can I just keep repositioning?
Yes, you can patch the Stick and Tear and reposition to embroider larger than the hoop. I think it's time I film this!
Is that straight stitch or zig zag
Straight stitch.
What about the glue on your sticky paper will it clog up my needle like they all do?
Pualani Wagner Pualani, I use it all day with -0- adhesive build up. We're the inventors of this concept (My Father) and we do not have a paper stabilizer. Ours is made with polyester fabric that is constructed to tear. This makes ours remain cool as the needle enters and exits the material unlike paper copy-cat products. You'll see why manufacturers choose our products. We have companies that stock up a year's supply just so they are not at risk of running out and having to resort to other products. It's amazing :)
Why do you use a stretch needle?
The Stretch needle is thinner than the Universal, but has the same rounded tip and it also has a longer scarf down the back side to help give the sewing machine more time for form the stitch. This greatly reduces skipped stitches when doing embroidery, especially on knits for materials that grab the needle as it exits and it leaves a smaller hole than the same size needle in the Universal style. You can use other needles, just know this one is more forgiving. :)
is that a special sew machine
fernando fer it is a regular home sewing machine that I painted.
Cool 👍🐝🇩🇪
Do you have any coupon codes for the hoops?
We don't post coupon codes inside of RUclips. Join our Newsletter at www.creativefeet.com to receive specials and also, we post them on the home page while we have one going on. I just found your comment and we do have one going on now. :)
this is straight stich?
Yes, just a simple straight stitch :)
never seen hoop like that. like to get the hoop n try it too.
❤😂🧵🪡🎉😮
This hoops is not cheap and if I want use sticky paper they just laying on a shelf...
Not sure what you're saying, we don't use sticky paper, our Stick and Tear is polyester fabric so it doesn't get adhesive on the needle and there's a lot these can do including being healthier than any other, and they'll last a lifetime 😁💖
