The snow in the coast range last year was bananas. And it stayed up there for weeks when most years it would only be days. Great video!

Thanks Bud that was amazing! I live on the Southern coast near Brookings and it was an amazing amount of snow that we got here. And yes you are correct there is nothing like the view from the mountains when snow covered and looking out at the Ocean.

Glad you enjoyed it, it was definitely unique experience on our end; made me want to get up there and camp it for couple of days to get some more dramatic weather/clouds footage.

I wanted to do one more comment before my favorite channels video is over. They are just started down the mountain and one of the guys said something in a lightbulb went off in my head. 20:07
He said I had rather stay here overnight then leave. And I thought to myself you actually could do that. Come up there on the snow cat with plenty of supplies you could not only stay overnight you could stay for a week.
You could build a basket that the wsnow cat could easily pull a weeks worth of firewood and everything else up the mountain ⛰️
A thousand pounds of supplies would pull easily in a wide tray type, Let’s say 6 foot or 8 foot long plastic type tub, 4 to 5 feet 👣 wide. .
That’s the only thing I know what to say right now, only thing I know to call it and it would slide easily over the Snow. And I’m sure, I feel confident that Bud could come up with something.

18:10 they made it to the top of the mountain here at this timestamp. One of the guys stand 6 foot tall or maybe an inch or two a little taller.
And he wanted to see about how deep the snow is up at the top so he started digging a hole. He dug in Doug till the hole is over his head. You’ve got to see this.
What would be scary if somebody actually did this, Dig them selves and snow cave to keep from freezing to death in many people do dig them.
And you can live in them for many days. If you have food to eat, but what would be scary is if you couldn’t get out by yourself, you will die.

At this time-line, the snow ⛄️ level is 5 feet deep. Click the 14:06 time-line marker numbers you see, and you will see a guy that dug down in fresh un disturbed snow.
