Yes you can grow from the tops. You plant it 3-5 nodes deep, vertically.

mam where did u get this Black sugarcane variety.....its a very rare one.....can you tell me whether its bark are very soft or not....because if its the true black variety then its bark are very soft and we can easily peel off its bark by our mouth teeth....so do reply
