I haven't seen this movie since I was about ten years old, over thirty years ago. I loved watching it back then on VHS. It still holds up as a nice Australian family movie. Tom Farley also had a good role in the ABC series Secret Valley, set in the New South Wales Blue Mountains, which I also loved watching as a kid. Thanks for uploading.
From a little girl I've loved watching trotters! The beauty of their gait, like pistons pushing the horse forward. Such perfection and a discipline in flesh and blood. Thank you and blessings for bringing back the wonderful memories of the horse movies of my youth! 👏👍👍
@@watchgoose Remember Granny on The Beverly Hillbillies couldn't get that horse out of a trot until the end of the show. Must of gave it a snort of that reumatiz' medicine! Ha Ha...
Sorry to say, but these are pacers. The hobbles around both of their legs shows they’re pacers. Trotters can have hobbles but are usually on the front legs.
Thank you for posting. Films were way better in those days than anything now. Even better would be to have lived in the 19th century and beginning of 20th. Thanks to you posting this I found a whole lot of other Disney films with horses.
13:43 " Could this be little Teddy ?" The movie was set in 1911 and "Little" Teddy was 13. During WWI, he would've been old enough to fight for King and country.
Chris, great posts! My favorites on Sunday night's "Wonderful World of Color," was the Rex Allen, Sr. narrations of the animal-oriented movies. One with living with an otter, and ALL these type. Rex Allen was BORN to narrate, with his down-home, easy-going voice. Can you possibly post some of these?
This is such a good movie! I'm super excited it's been posted! Wanna fine and post "Running Wild" 1973 film about 2 boys, a mustang, and a photographer? :D
I live in Brazil and I really like the old Disney movies that I watched in the cinema and the program "Disneyland", which was shown on television. Today in Brazil, few titles were released on dvd. I often watch on youtube, in English, just to miss you. I would also like to post: 1. IDA, THE OFFBEAT EAGLE 2. GRETA, THE MISFIT GREYHOUND 3. THE LEGEND OF TWO GYPSY DOGS 4. CARLO, THE SIERRA COYOTE 5. THE HIGH FLYING SPY 6. A BOY CALLED NUTHIN': (1967)RON HOWARD 7. THE WAHOO BOBCAT 8. THE 101 PROBLEMS OF HERCULES (16 9. THE SILVER FOX AND SAM DAVENPORT 10. THE TREASURE OF SAN BOSCO REEF: 11. CHICO, THE MISUNDERSTOOD COYOTE 12. CONCHO, THE COYOTE WHO WASN'T
Ron Goodwin is a great orchestrator, he’s just under rated is all. Check out some of his other work for like “CANDLESHOE”, “WHERE EAGLES DARE”, “ONE OF OUR DINOSAURS IS MISSING”, “OPERATION CROSSBOW”, “MURDER, SHE SAID”, “MURDER AT THE GALLOP”, “MURDER MOST FOUL”, “MURDER AHOY”, and “THE ALPHABET MURDERS”.
Thank you for this post. Tom Farley was my grandfather and finding this has made my (and my family’s) day
Wow
Sean, that is AWESOME!
Cool find
That's amazing
Sweet❤

Sweet! Love a good old fashioned horse race. Thanks for uploading this fun wholesome movie.
Wholesome, refreshing and enlivening tale. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

please note that these are pacers, not trotters. Both are cool.

@@watchgoose Sorry chap. Definitely trotters. Not a pacer to be seen in this movie.

How about possibly posting the ‘Snowy River’ movies one of these days?
Thanks for uploading this full movie ,been looking for it for a long time.
Love these movies thanks to your grandad
The second film I saw at the cinema here in the UK. It was paired with The Rescuers and I loved them both.
A good movie set in early Australia, with a beaut cattle dog that saves everyone.
Those were the days.
McGinnis 'Wyn Roberts'' Was a neifhbour when I was a kid .Down to earth family man
this may be a movie about horses but i enjoyed the scenes with that australian cattle dog
Ahhh the good ol days when Disney was wholesome Entertainment for the whole Family.
Yes indeed.
This movie definitely cries out for theatrical release in USA.
What a lark! Thank you!
My favorite childhood movie
Wow, they had to do that greenhouse scene in one take I bet! That was pretty amazing and the horse seemed to know exactly where it was going too.
Who knows how many they ruined before they got one to do it.
Beautiful movie
Thank you ,I did enjoy this movie
A truly delightful movie

And possibly good Jim Craig of Snowy River is selling both steers and horses for the royal Calvary.
Ha, ha... I prefer the smell of horses more than how most people smell.
Thank you for sharing!
I wish for more western style horse movies , thank you

14:10 "In a few years there won't be a horse left in the land. We can all breathe fresh air again" ...If she only knew!

The triple crown is ok, but I just love a good fast sulky race! Trotters and pacers!
I thought this was a movie about Bruce Springsteen.
Cool!!
That one kid looks like Patrick Stewart. Or the kid that played his younger self as Picard.
I keep trying to watch these movies, ; but I can't without subtitles. I'm missing out on lovely old stories that you post. Please subtitles?
Andrew McFarlane: talk about tall dark and handsome.
john lol
Thank you for posting these great movies! Would you remember one based on the book Hog Wild by Julia Brown Riddle?
Disney on Sunday evenings after mutual Omahas wild kingdom !
A nice family movie. My only comment was that the music was a bit repetitive.
👍
Think I shall enjoy this movie , I detect an Australian accent ,,,,
Thank goodness this is NOT about Bruce Springsteen.
You don't have any more content than your channel ya ole witch...

Back when Disney meant "wholesome" not gays attacking kids.
It’s 1979, not 1977.
perhaps try clicking the link in the description the movie was released in 1977
Upon the good old theatre screens.
sadly this has some very outdated ideas about horses AND people.
Gonna cry?
Near 1 year later, I take back my previous comment, Decent movie. The music still sucks!!
Pretty boring, and the music is worse.
Ron Goodwin is a great orchestrator, he’s just under rated is all.

A brilliant family movie if you want to teach your children a blatant disregard for anything and anybody but yourself.
Horsemanship unhinged is incompetence and abuse showing, among other things, most clearly from the horses gaits.
🤣
