I have watched this movie once a year. a movie that never gets boring to watch. just like james bond, mission imposible, fast and furious, mcu, the equalizer, top gun and several other franchise movies, all of which are great and good to watch over and over again.

Lol very entertaining yes but so much Hollywood bs. I like how he starts the engines on that Grumman Hu-16 Albatross in seconds. Those Wright R-1820-76 Cyclone engines take a whole long longer than a few seconds to light up. Also in 2021, an Australian company announced it would put the G-111T (Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67F turboprop version of civilian version version of the HU-16 Albatross), back into production.

Why didn't the fire flames follow the plane,why did it stop at the end of the pier
Don't understand?why did the fire/flames stop at the end of the dock and not continue following the gas and the plane?
Because it ignites the targeted stream and not the back flow like a flamethrower.. I think!

So many questions, Why did Barney wait so long to turn off the fuel? Why didn't the fire chase the fuel all the way back to the plane? (Die Hard 2, lol), How did Barney's headset get so wet? He wasn't wearing it in the water. Why don't they just have a remote trigger for the aircraft guns? I could go on all day......
Please leave your brain at the door.
1. Heat of the moment
2. The thing was set on from the beginning of the dock whereas the flight already reached the air and the fuel dropping wayy out of reach.
3. Him setting it with his wet hands probably.
4. Not modified enough or for personal comfort/fun as they enjoy killing enemies with effort.
The simple answer is quite simple, the writers said so.
One word explanation: Hollywood!

And that they don`t explode to. They were dumping fuel when the dock exploded. Still cool scene.
There were several 55 gallon drums of fuel on the dock.
