Kyle, I'm with ya on your #1. I don't think I can even explain why except for my tendency to get bored with A-listers and consequent love for underexposed/obscure chars - not to mention I cut my comic book artist teeth trying to emulate Art Adams' style - but the Mojoverse is my favorite corner of the X-Universe and I'm dying to see Longshot, Spiral, Quark, Arize, Mojo, et al realized in live/cg action. Good pull!
imagine Terry McGinnis coming back in time to save the JLA by slicing Amazo in half ala Future Trunks 😂
but also! i'd love to see The Question (Vic Sage) -- he stole every episode of JLU where he was featured 😌 -- in a Seven/SAW style suspense movie. maybe have him in Star City and breaks into one of Green Arrow's safe-houses for whatever reason.
50's Martian Manhunter is a great idea. They can even tie aspects of his telepathy into touching the many minds of humans over the years to make it credible he's a Superman level powerhouse that had to be more incignito until the boom of supers.
Great lists, as well as some awesome conversation. I can't tell you how much I would love to see a Batman Beyond live action movie as well. Plus, a John Stewart Green Lantern movie would be sweet.
Seeing terry McGinns would be cool
Also, the Constantine TV show, though short lived, was amazing. Matt Ryan nails Constantine from the DC Comic Universe. Yes, I also purchased it too.
Ok so Mojo movie/show Im thinking, News Radio Meets Escape from LA.
I want a Ghost Rider movie like fede alvarezs evil dead
More Hector, please!
How has Nightwing not gotten a movie yet? Harley got a show, Alfred got a show, the freakin Batmobile got a show. What the fuck. No love for Batman's first protege? He's like Batman & Spider-man rolled into one for shit's sake.
I don't think the Universal distribution rights reverted to Marvel, but WWH has always been possible as a B story in another's film. It's achievable in many ways, but to illustrate imagine the landscape of a post 2000's Secret War where Hulk is fending off other villain groups from a Basecamp of his Allies (including Skaar). Imagine some heroes indirectly encouraging Skaar to fight and being to blame for his apparent or actual demise.
Hulk goes to wreck everybody as a result, but this is merely playing out against a backdrop of an A story of Avengers trying to undo a merging of multiple Earths to restore the 616 (and all others) while other factions are opposed to this because of some promise of power from the Battleworld remaining this way.
Basically we get World War Hulk's unstoopable rampage as a consequence of events manipulated to get him to take out key leaders on the side trying to restore the worlds.
The Swamp Thing TV series was actually really good. I purchased it when it finally got released. It's set as a Gory Horror Drama themed series with some spats of zany moments in the right places.
Agreed. Loved the Alan Moore era of Swamp Thing and enjoyed Kevin Durand's take on Woodrue.
Did Strange's spell destroy EVERY copy of Flash's book?!?
I NEED live action Midnight Sons and Justice League Dark movies! And while they deserve the R-rated treatment, the studios will never do it for box office reasons. The Hellboy reboot tried it and didn't make enough money to convince the studio to make a sequel.
Static Shock fan club!
Ah, era uma Live
Dude, Plastic Men should be a comedy about the guy that got kicked off the justice league for his pervy attitude toward a fellow member. Kind of like Peacemaker, except he's a hated unemployed shmock...
