That poor hobbit lost everything! Maybe have him use the Troll Lair as leverage to perhaps allow them to be absorbed into the newly hired adventuring party. Or perhaps have them start their own adventuring group to exact revenge for their fallen compatriots. They offer nearly all the treasure to the new recruits as all they want is revenge! :p
İ swear these videos are the highlight of my week lately 😅 Picked up a copy of OS and now my girlfriend and İ are playing od&d and chainmail, so thanks for the great series and inspiration.
I love watching these...really nothing like it I've seen on RUclips. Helps you get a feel of this style of play more so than group actual plays, so much quicker to see how the mechanics work and how game play would work out. Never thought I would enjoy watching solo play like this.
Your gosh darn right when you said that the fact that the half way makes it back to town on February 5 is important that's the single most important day of the year :-)
I think the Patron would definitely ask him for the money he invested in the party, mob boss style, and then it's a redemption arc as the hobbit deals with all sort of shady people and places to get enough gold to pay his patron and get rid of those thoughs always asking him to pay his dept. Poor Hobbit... Good stuff as always, Thanks for another epic session!
Awesome video. If I was running the patron I would probably just make a reaction roll and maybe give a small bonus to the roll since the hobbit has a map which makes their initial deal come out to being even imo, basically a map for a map. Idk if the patron would have sympathy for the hobbit but I imagine the wizard would have to be pretty stone cold to fire an employee because he was a sole survivor. If the wizard added on a termination of their contract on top of the survivor's guilt the hobbit is likely facing, he might not be able to cope with such terrible life circumstances but maybe the little guy wasn't as attached to the party and is just glad to be alive.
@@BanditsKeepActualPlay I interpreted the text as multiple dice rolls, especially when considering the aerial or naval movement. However the table certainly makes it seem like a single dice roll . I guess the party will never have an encounter if they get lost though, which seems odd. Anyway, great stuff!
I would definitely hire a new party, and send them with the halfling as guide to raid the Troll's lair.
👍🏻

I have to agree with either of these options
Both of these seem like really good options tbh
Makes sense

That’s awesome!
Im doing the same but with OSE and Mythic! Great Stuff
That was a fun episode. Avoiding a dragon and some trolls and phew gets off the board!
Yes!

👍🏻
This hobbit was obviously not the party navigator 🤣
Indeed
Love watching these
Thank You!
Thanks for these, Daniel!
Thanks for watching
Man, found myself loudly cheering for the hobbit running for his life😂
Awesome! That was one lucky hobbit
Phew! Well done little one 😀
🏃🏻
Really enjoying this series. What is the reason for combining the getting lost and wandering monster chances into a single dice roll?
That seems to be the way it is set up in the OD&D book - I’m trying to be as true to what I see as possible

Spoiler alert!:
I was rooting for that hobbit so hard at the end. Many Tolkeinesque chapters could be written about his travels home I’m sure!
Yes!
8:50 does that dice count if it fall outside of the box?
I tend to go back and forth on that - but I have been trying to say no lately
lycanthropes, who would have imagined it?
send the hobit with the rest of the "Broken Fangs".....i c
Something like that may happen
😃
With his exp he may go up a level and so be more valuable to lead a team back . Getting interesting
