Hi again. I have encountered an issue and maybe you know what the issue can be? After applying new textures to Metahuman everything looks fine but when animating the face. Let say the eyebrows go up, that area of the face is turning to the “old look”. So if I would have blue face, the forehead would turn skin-like colour after raising eyebrows. Same thing with the jaw etc (but affecting jaw area). When face goes neutral everything is fine again. It’s like when some face expression’s weight increases, it derives data from the old texture. I hope it makes sense.
Because this method is a basic one, it does not include the animated maps that Metahumans use for more a more realistic look. Go to your material instance and search for "Animated" and then disable the two parameters by unchecking the boxes to the right.
@@Jobutsu OK, so I probably didn't explain what is happening very well and the "animated" solution did not help. What DID help was just plugging new textures to not just Color_Main slot but also Color_CM1 and so on. Now i see that it was pretty obvious and I was just braindead. But hey. thank you so much for quick response. I do realise it is not a complex method but still, lifesaver for me and once again, I am very grateful sir.
would this work flow work with the rest of the body in a similar fashion? I'm looking to add blood to the clothing as a test and was curious. Thank you!
@@Jobutsu alright thanks. I have a mesh to metahuman of jack from mass effect but she's covered in tattoos so good to know it can be done when I get to it
As requested, Enjoy !
I will make a tutorial on the Metahuman in the intro if enough people request it. 😀🧐
Yes please 😋

Awesome ❤️ this was so much in detail that person like me who doesn't know much about substance painter can easily follow 😊🙌..
I need to do a more advanced version in the future, with the additional maps.
@@Jobutsu great
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the tutorial! For some reason i'm not able to replace the roughness map. What am i missing?
Hey Jobutsu, with the current iterations of Metahuman, this process doesnt seem to remove the eyelashes and eyeballs
Do you know how I may fix this?
I stopped working with Metahumans on a daily basis.
Nice..! Thx
Could you show how to paint both head and body at the same time if I have for example a tattoo from chest to neck?
I am taking time off to learn but will add it to the list for you.
@@Jobutsu I'm keen to work this out too
Very helpful, much appeciated. Subscriibed.
Glad it helped!

Love the tutorial. I wanted to apply an emissive texture to metahuman, there was no slot for it, how to do this?
Inside the master material connect your emissive mask to emissive.
@@Jobutsu Can you elaborate please. Which one is the master material?
If it's the base color main, how do you get to its node board to do that?
great job, subbbed
How apply metallic texture in U.E? I don't know where texture in
You have to modify Material in U.E to work with Metallic texture.

Yes
@@Jobutsu Thank you sir! You're the best in biz my man!
Can I ask you why u use obj and not fbx?
You can. I find working with obj easier. A lot of software/apps that I use, require that I use an obj.
can you do this with the body texture as well?
I did the face because, it is harder than with the body.
So yes.

You must create a new template.
