Thank you! I'm happy to report that we have some young oak trees, courtesy of the neighbor's acorns. There are also plenty of flowering, native plants growing. I have a Duncraft bat house that has been sitting around for years that will be mounted on the south side of structure this coming spring.
I have little browns, big browns, indianas and I am told townsends big ears. I am looking into building multiple bat houses. Question is do the species of bats like and prefer four chamber flat houses or rocket box houses. Oh I do know that they love my neighbors gable vents. Don't know if that helps. I just know that I want all these pesky bugs eaten. There is quite a few bats that live close so I want to encourage and invite them to our property. I am planning to dig out a pond with the edges raised up about a foot by eight to ten foot long.

That sounds wonderful! 🦇
This great info. I live in San Antonio. I'm going to share it with my family in NM.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for sharing.
