I'm so happy you reviewed this one. Garfield was amazing. The scene where he sings outside at the piano brought me to tears. I usually never comment but thanks for all the content. I've been watching you in some form since 2015. Really enjoying The Big Thing and the Star Wars /Spiderman re-watch.
I agree with you on this being Andrew Garfield’s best performance Kristian. I even think it’s the best one of the entire year. That scene at the piano near the end was gut-wrenching. 😩
Happy to see you review this! Loved this one. Garfield is stellar, and seeing the real-life footage of Jonathan Larson shows how Garfield truly transformed.
Really surprised how well Lin did Directing this for his 1st film! I thought he did such a great job and the way he used the camera and knew when to cut in and out of the songs was just great!
Watched tick tick... Boom. I'm not really into musicals but I enjoy watching Andrew Garfield on screen. And out of all his acting talents man he is a good singer! Loved this movie. I would watch it again definitely.
I just finished watching and went looking for reviews. This is easily one of the best movies I've seen this year. Looking forward to seeing how this does as far as nominations go. And can we talk about Vanessa Hudgens 😍😍😍 Seriously I hope Andrew Garfield's performance gets some recognition.
@@TheKristianHarloff I know! Between King Richard and Tick Tick Boom I've had a great movie weekend!! Looking forward to your next Double Toasted collab!! Keep up the great work!!!
Hello, nice to see your face! Didn’t know you had your own channel (used to see you on collider jedi council) now subscribed. 😊 I’m glad you enjoyed Tick Tick Boom, I think it’s my favorite movie of the last couple years. I’m most impressed with how this movie takes place in a present fuller storyline, a future musical performance inspired by that storyline, and additional flashbacks- and it’s not confusing at all. I never got puzzled about “what time is it”. And yes of course, AG ROCKS. 🤘🏼🎉
So I loved the movie and I think it’s a perfect fit to be on Netflix. It is so personal and with the musical aspect it does not feel overtop it’s feels very subdued and small scale. I wonder if my opinion of this would of changed if I saw this small film on the big screen.
I CANT WAIT FOR THIS!! Andrew Garfield is one of my favorite Actors of all time and he + real person = Some of my favourite cinema! (Social Network, Hacksaw Ridge, Silence) he was great in Breathe too but the movie for me was meh. I would normally say he has a high chance for a Oscar. But no way he gets it over Will Smith just because Smith has had such a long career without a Oscar win. So King Richard will probably be his Revenant Leo award

Musicals are using my least favorite film genre but this was an excellent film. Garfield has a really good shot of getting best actor nom at the Oscars. Will Smith was also amazing in King Richard. Looking forward to West Side Story. Really interested to see what Spielberg has up his sleeve with a musical
Round 2?... no I didn't spot your earlier mistake honest, lol, but I watched it on my TV where I couldn't comment. What's this film then? I'll have to check out a trailer.
I had to do a double-take on that thumbnail. At first glance I thought I saw a ShitRat, but soon realised it was just a jovial singing pose. R.I.P. to the sweaty king.
My dad forced me to see the rent movie one of the worst movie experiences I've ever had I thought the movie was over 5 times lol. I hope it's better than the rent movie and I the heights.

All I have to say is Andrew Garfield is one of our generations most underrated actors.

‘BOY A’ is one of Andrew Garfields first lead roles. It’s a British mini-series. Really recommend.
He is very talented.

Andrew Garfield, what a performance.

Great review! Tick Tick Boom is phenomenal.. If the Oscars were held today, I would say Garfield deserves the best actor oscar for this performance.
He was so good!

Loved the movie. Andrew Garfield and Robin de Jesus both deserve Oscar nods. Will be rewatching.
It is pretty damn engaging
I felt so bad for Andrew promoting this film. All anyone wanted to ask him about is Spidey
He knew that would happen but the good news is every article started "While promoting his new film Tick Tick Boom, Andrew was asked...:

Wow yeah I loved this one. Just thought it was gonna be a nice movie.. ended up sobbing at the end. Very well done film
I thought so as well!
I thought it was great and Andrew Garfield is great in it. The Jonathan Larson story has always been interesting to be, he had so much talent.
He was really talented. Loved learning about him this way.
I found it to be very moving it was also interesting you can hear in the music the beginning of what rent would. become

I haven’t seen a better performance this year.
King Richard pretty good so far. Might be tough to beat WIll
