Both MFM and USSF are absolutely cooked right now. The thing that's a bit more concerning about the Mexican team at the moment is, there really doesn't seem to be talent in the pipeline either. It's really going to suck when the world cup is here and neither of our teams give a strong performance.

Frankly Jack, if I was a Mexican fan, I'd be pissed off, the Mexican federation has let its fans down, in terms of youth infrastructure, it needs to be better, in terms of decisions it needs to be better, in terms of the fans passion Mexico should be an elite football country, but they're not, in the past they've produced the odd star, Sanchez, Ochoa, etc but it really should be better than it is
The clubs seem to have all the power there. Not bringing back promotion/relegation is killing competition in the league and will be damaging to player development long term.

You know what killed me more of the 3 games ? every dumb ass in the midfield tried a stupid long shot then to lay it off to Santi Jiminez...... i would like a coach to tell professional footballers the likelihood of actually scoring from long distance ! Not once did the midfield try to link up with Santi and instead went on the flanks witch made it easy to defend because that's all they were doing. Lozano is like USA awful coach as well who has one plan and if that plan does not work he has no idea what to do because both coaches arent qualified

This happens to all previously big teams, they go through cycles where they're a top team for years and then they fall and decline for a bit and then rebuilds to a top team again, its the cycles and mexico is in that cycle currently, maybe theyll work it out for 26 🤷

The problem is very easy and Mexico and US are both fault to it and that's the pay to play system. Soccer is becoming a sport for the rich where only the rich have access to the top coaches, fields, etc. You look at players from Brazil, Columbia, England, France, Argentina, Portugal, etc. most of their best payers come from poverty. Today you can't even go pro in either the US and Mexico if you don't pay your way through academy and this sucks because I honestly believe you give me 11 of the best players from the streets of Mexico or US and I guarantee you they'll beat the best academy. Because those guys from the streets play with a bigger chip on their shoulder than these rich kids that were given everything in life. Look t players like Rafa Marquez and Cauthemoc Blanco. Two iconic players that Mexico produced and where did they come from? Poor families. We'll never see players like them ever again because the federation is more worried about getting their next dollar than getting talent that will actually play for the badge on the shirt.

This is a very poor Mexico team tbh and its not surprising both Mexico and the US are out. The expectations of both sets of fans are delusional at best. You play in CONCACAF where you generally playing nations made up of players playing low level football. Its not exactly an elite federation and its not surprising you struggle against top teams.

Mexican clubs have too much power and are largely to blame for where the national team is now. Theres no competition in the league and getting rid of promotion/relegation won’t help turn things around in time for 2026.
