It's just a pattern with layered drumsounds, which you modify, resample (shift+record then play-stop), and save as new drumsamples (write). Optionally, you can resample (shift+record then play-stop) all sounds and slice them up (shift+13) to create a 'kit'. (I'm afraid right now I can't make a vid, since I'm moving my studio :/ Hope this helps though)
@@leondustar cards good 👍 esx says no card now. Even after formatting and all. Loaded data from the editor and since that is now not showing a card to load from?
Hi scott, you can send/receive electribe notes from/to protools. That is, if you have it connected to a midi-usb interface. In the midi-menu (I think shift+16) you can adjust the channels. Sending/Receiving the startparameter is more tricky BUT possible, using NRPN midi-messages.
Great ! One question: when i have sliced sample - start point knob works as for usual sample or jump between start of slices ? I wanna try this method for building "one file" drum kit of my favorite samples
Hi Leon...nice to hear from you again...I have been practicing on the ESX 1 since May and I really appreciate tour talent and your "wonderfull" rythm...I guess I have almost all the infos I need to create interesting rythm of techno but there is one manipulation I really miss and of which NOBODY talked about... I would like therefore to know if there is a solution or if it is a weakness in the machine...here is the need...you know that when all or few of the parts are activated and that you need to modulate (for exemple) one of them you press the shift button to not make the sound heard? you follow me? Now when only a few parts are engaged with the "solo" button, how do I select one part without it to become solo...I mean want only to filter or modulate or put an FX but I don't want the other parts to become mute...is there a way to do that???? very grateful man...I m from France but live in Brasil in a small village...I don't have internet in my haouse but connect from timt to time...cheers Leon!!!! thanks for your help!
Hi! Thanks for your message. I think I know what you mean, and yes: it seems that you can't select parts anymore (in solo mode) without getting solo re-assigned. That would be so awesome.

bought and tried since last wednesday, WoW has a hell of a job done, and it's pretty innovative. Big uP! But .... I'm still divided ... it's very unsettling, it's a totally different way of working on EsX; as it is very easy to design interesting loops on the rhythmic parts (even if the results are random, and it is difficult to put on 16not what we have in mind), working on the rhythm on the other hand is really delicate, one spend a lot of time to pose kick / snare / hihats. Obviously, one have to complete the bank with presets for the rhythms, (and of course for the stretchs and slice parts that cannot be used with these files). a little disappointed therefore, working by choosing your preset thanks to the start point takes a long time, (tends to give a headache! LoL) and I imagined more material / possibilities (a little more presets, more choice sounds really intended for keyboard tracks, as well as more patterns to give an example of how to use this) given the price. well done anyway, that's well thought out, there is some idea. and the dozen patterns provided sound very clean.
That start point trick is brilliant! Almost as good as the name Electribrary :D
Just bought it! Thanks for your videos and inspiration for the ESX
Cool, good news... Thank you
Dude this is awesome and great instruction. Can you share where to get those replacement knobs for your SX?
thanks. The knobs are from an ancient INKEL mixer (which died, dont know the modelnumber unfortunately).
My man he rules.
Same spaceship.
Like snowdanielKlerr.
Thanks guys.
You created this machine or whutttt?
youj're a star! Nice work
I don't understand the stretch part of my electribe, any tips please?
👏👏👏💪😎great presentation
Hello Leon,
Can you make another video on how to use KITMAKER pattern? I'm having problems of understanding what is going on there

Whats up with my card reader not working all of a sudden. I need a quick fix
Sad sad, is it the usb reader for your pc you are talking about?

@@stevewoywitka3258 not sure which editor you are talking about. Btw. Did you format on the esx or the pc? (If pc, the esx can't read the disk)
can you midi the electric to protools . I want to midi the drums

the behaviour depends on the part settings ('SLICE' or 'ALL'). The jump between start of slices depends on the length of the total sample.
@@leonvankammen7499 Thank you ! I try to finde a way when i can use start point like a regular sample select
