it actually doesn’t adjust to any skin color but since it’s for light-skinned people and the color matches their skin, they’ll think it adjusts. basically, it’s a scam. there was definitely a guy who stitched her and explained this better and i believe it’s on her channel.

These are scams. Companies make these to get clout. And you can see that it works. All of the tiktokers and youtubers make videos about these giving them free publicity and clout. These are gimmicks and they really don't magically match anyone... Not even for white people. There are probably few light skinned people who just happens to have a match to the final shade of these foundations and all the rest of the people it's not gonna work.

I don’t remember which of my science beauty babes it was but someone pointed out that color change pigments like this will NEVER work on darker skin because of the base color they’re starting out with. The way the chemistry works, it’s only ever going to darken by 2 or 3 shades. Because the brands want to use one base formula for all the products to make it consistent across the brand that they don’t really take into account the fact that it just won’t work to go that dark. Maybe some day there will be one that actually does work well enough but idk when we’ll see it 🤷

Color changing foundation is actually just pigment suspended in cream base. Mix it up and add some heat from skin, voila it mixed! Sheer application also made it look similar to skin color.

Yeah this color changing thing is basically just for fancy application. It's just a color changing foundation and u have to buy your exact shade for it to "adjust", it's similar to color changing lipgloss and lipstick. it doesn't adjust it just changes from the original color to a predetermined color that will "work" for you.
(Also it's quite sad that for some reason most goddamn make up brands STILL DON'T GIVE DARKER SHADES THAN LIKE, SIMPLE BROWN OR EVEN LIGHTER LIKE HELLO???)

@@trillysrandom_creations well, it is impossible for these color changing foundations to get darker, but foundation in general can be made very dark. The same base can't be used for the lightest and darkest shades in any makeup. The base of these scams in particular is always an opaque white to hide the pigment powders.
Side note: Darcei is a mid-tone skin color, not very dark at all
