I'm glad you've covered captain action figures! They're rarely talked about here on RUclips.
It is just such an amazing line with a deep history!
@@CarbonScoring true!
You really bring these to life with the passion you have for them
Thank you for that - I'm glad you can feel it - that is what I am going for!
12:14 man I can’t get enough of these Spider-Man figures!!!! So rad! Clear that it is also based off of John romita’s art
100% - that is what I love about that figure
I'm at 05:20 and I never knew these existed. Thank-you for sharing. These are awesome.
Glad you like them! This is the kind of history video I love making!
The “rise and fall, and rise and fall, and the rise and fall again.” Got me 😂
I was hoping that hook would work…
For the Playing Mantis relaunch, The large boxes came first, the classic style boxes and Kid action were at the tail end of the line through Diamond distributors to try and keep the line going, the ones in the classic styled boxes had new paint decorated faces to bring out more detail. Great video, love it!
Thanks for that - great info - I really appreciate it!
My 4 brothers and I were all over this collection had action lad. Everything
I hope mego is able to get the rights for marvel characters again, especially for the 50th anniversary
Me too! That would make for such a goregous display - the DC ones look so good in those boxes!
This was awesome!
Thanks for the watch!
6:44 l wish I had that Spidey figure!!! I really enjoyed this video carbon! The Superman’s are also so cool!
Thanks for the watch! This was a fun one to put together
I owned a lot of the 60s CA figures and this video brought back tons of memories.
If memory serves me, mine came with a short comic book with each figure. There is no mention of the comic books in your video, why?
The costume set Figures never came with mini comic books in the 60s. However the if you bought the main Captain figure in the box you did get one mini comic. But it was basically a promotion item whee a child dreams of owning all of the superhero costume sets that come with the Captain figure. There was a DC comic book version of captain action and action boy that ran for seven issues in 1969. Perhaps that was what you were thinking of.
That spiderman belt is perfection! We need something like that for legends or Mafex or something!
Steiff invented the Teddybear 1902 !!🧐🧐
Wow! Fun Fact Point AWARDED
I remember the first time I went to New York in 2012 and my brother and I bought both Spider-Man and captain America suits. Ironically we didn’t know you had to buy the captain action figure so I was a stupid kid and stuffed my Spider-Man.
Interesting stuff! Not a line I was very familiar with I'd absolutely love to get that rocketeer and madman if they ever got made!
That Rocketeer is Hot Toys level quality!
I want a captain action spider man figure so bad there all so expensive these days
I am glad I got mine many, many years ago
The power to be any superhero. Best superhero ever.
Don’t know if you remember me but I told you about the cowboy spiderman I figured out his name is web slinger
Hey carbon i got my first marvel legends figure
That is fantastic! Who did you get????
The bonebreaker baf wave sabertooth
@@BlaffyWaffy AWESOME!
@@CarbonScoring yea it is😁
captain action were the funkos of the day. so many different brands here.
BUT...they are now taking preorders for the new Captain Action figure and Rocketeer costume. BUT...$175 for the Captain Action figure and $165 for the costume. WAY out of my price line.
Yes - they are expensive and the prototypes look terrrible
There is one thing that I don't understand ..... why are all his costumes based on other IP's like DC or Marvel ?
Was it so hard to create own kind of costumes .........
I think it was 2015 that I heard the first times about the captain as the Tonner Doll company (that was sadly closed few years ago) released a limited edition female Captain Action figure/doll.
Good question - as I said in the beginning history, Stan Weston, who had the original idea for Captain Action also had the IP licenses for those other characters, so that is what Ideal went with - the lines since then have been trying to replicate that original line
@@CarbonScoring I hope that one day Captain Action will come back , but this time not as a collector figure line.
A line need to be affordable (arround $30 for a figure and $15 for an outfit) and easy to optain in many countries of the world to be successful.
To be honest, I would prefer more generic oufits like an astronaut , ninja , unknown superhero , clown , robot , monster or animal.
if wolverine was from the 1800s and captain america was from world war 2, shouldnt cap be quite short like a bit shorter then iron man but still taller then wolverine?
Cap probably was before the Super Soldier Serum
oh ok ty! keep up the good work and i just got a ml bombastic bagman
