At around 1:40 he's talking about how friends has all the archetypes in friends but about how they're still people, but the problem with friends was in the later seasons that each character was a caricature of themselves with no more depth or development
No, because not all comedy set ups equate to Winnie the Pooh. The Simpsons seems to follow "The 8 characters of sit-coms" Homer is the lovable loser/dumb one. Bart is the bastard. Marge is the logical smart one. And Lisa is the materialistic one I guess, but not materialistic for material things like money and objects, materialistic in that she is driven by things she wants like justice, animal rights and so on.
I would like to hear more conversations of the spoof/parody genre.

Im loving that - I think I understand the Carry on Films more as Character driven storys.
Can you assign Winnie-the-Pooh characters to The Simpsons?

Wonderful! Anybody count the 15?
Trickster, Animal, Mentor, Dummy, Ditzy, Wiseass, Voice of resaon, the flirty one, what else? Mother, Father...
The bigger question is how many more than 15 can you count?
The best comedy actors are Robin Williams, Jim Carrey Steve Carell and Adam Sandler.
