It was great meeting you on the cave tour. What a treat to be able to relive it and show my husband what he missed out on while he was in meetings.

Thanks so much for watching! We were wondering if you would remember to watch out for our cave episode. We were glad we were able to give your husband a glimpse of what you did while he was working! Safe travels.

That hook is for your Coleman lantern, keeps the hot top away from small hands

Thanks for watching! Yes, we suspected it was a lantern holder but your explanation of keeping a hot mantle away from children makes sense.

We have been at campgrounds with mesh bags hanging from the hook. The staff instructed us to place our recyclables in the bag.

Home of the Corvette. You might want to swing by the museum.

The hook/post is a lantern holder, originally for the old Coleman lanterns. Many older campgrounds have them.

Thanks for watching! Yes, that's what we think. Our puny little lantern looked a little lost up there...

Thanks so much for watching! We've always enjoyed our time in Kentucky (usually on the Bourbon trail) so we were glad to see other parts. We stay at a county park in northern Kentucky next week.

Cindy/Rich, near Rickwood Caverns State Park there is an old cave that was used for gambling and drinking during the 1930’s near Blount Springs, AL. The FBI raided it and now unfortunately it is on private property and you can no longer visit the cave. It is a super awesome place with a bank teller window, bar area and even a dancing stage. Safe travels!

Thanks Cotton Tales for the interesting information! BTW, after the Auburn game we booked Meaher State Park in Mobile (primarily to visit the U.S.S. Alabama). We'll provide a report.

@@LuvSubbin I have never been to that state park. The USS Alabama is absolutely awesome. The last vacation I took with my dad we ended it there at the ship and the submarine USS Drum. It was around 04 July 73 and hotter than a firecracker on that sub! Safe travels

Thanks guys! And @Bigglebaby is correct though there is a law that allows you to buy commemorative bottles of Jack at the distillery. When I was in school in S.C. liquor could only be dispensed at a bar from airplane bottles. Those were the days...

Went to mammoth cave last summer. Kind of a bucket list decision since we have always heard so much about it and felt we needed to check it off the list. Huge cave and we loved it but looks like your experience may have been a little more unique. We use the hook for hanging lanterns. We camped in Elizabethtown and toured several of the nearby bourbon distilleries which I would highly recommend. Great video.
