Like the black motor. Made my new 360 black thats going into my 72 Hemi Orange Demon. Stands out !!!! Yours should run better. The car is looking good !!!!
Looking forward to seeing it run in a few weeks. You and Duddie have me debating whether I should go with those EQ ported heads for my magnum 318 build.
I got my heads from the same place. Customer service is terrible ! They wanted the money up front then it was excuse after excuse. Took me 3 months to get the heads then when they found out I was not buying their cam they stop responding. My engine is at final assembly at the machine shop. The machine shop said the heads appear to be fine so fingers crossed that they make good power
Mr Gasket Ultra Seal MLS head gaskets .027” thickness is what I’m running on my 318 and I really like them. I had problems with the Fel Pro gaskets on my 499
@@TheDodgeWhisperer I have a 2nd gen Serro Scotty. I love those things. Never been able to see a 1st gen other than passing a few on the road over the years. Do you use and camp out of it? So youre gonna fit that block with 8 giant taco feed armidillos topped with all the orange sauce . All of it ! 380 AP( armidillo power) small block mopar
Im guessin that's Performance Injection Equipment, they do some good work on the heads but I had an issue with a damaged head that I had fixed for $60 but he wanted to tell me what SAE standards say is "okay to run". Never reimbursed me and not to mention I was informed I could get it shipped out when I ordered and they didn't ship for over a month. I put that aside since I didn't call that day but $200 shipping, it's a bit much when it's not even handled properly and I can't get any assistance from the guy I bought it from.
I just found and subbed to your channel. What do you think is the most aggressive cam you can run with the kegger intake? Want my Rt to appear as oem as possible
Not much unless the pcm has been tuned. Check out utawesome.com he specializes in the kegger manifolds and could probably answer your question better. Search for Flying Ryan he does custom tunes for the stock pcm
@@TheDodgeWhispererwhat cam is in it now? I haven't seen anything in your videos about it, just curious because Ive got those heads and a little bumpier cam than stock and some KB pistons. Plus bolt ons for mid range power.
@@TheDodgeWhispererMarty at Utawesome Performance is great! I have several of his parts and he's just a great guy to boot. Flying Ryan is also very knowledgeable when it cones to programing.
@@ThirteenTwentyRepair Thanks, I thought but wasn't sure. It def. has the cam... Now I just have to find the manifold. I have a '68 HP2 "asterisk" engine but an aftermarket manifold, though I may swap for a SMPFI system. Maybe.
I have a set of the original EQ 2.02's without the freeze plugs in the ends of the head. I have heard the originals (made in Australia) flow better than the new ones which as I understand flow the same as a stock magnum head. From what I've found, the originals gave more flow/horsepower than the new. The new one do have some good qualities, 2.02 valves, better more even cooling and more material between the valves where the stock heads crack. I am not putting the new heads down, just wondering if you have heard anything about the originals vs the new.
Who's motor has more Horse power yours or daddies. I think daddies should because my son has a 408 Stroker and it makes 458 hp and 509 torque so daddies should be close to that unless he doesn't have a cam as big as my son's. 545 lift
This Magnum 360 is about to put out all the ARMADILLOS!!!
Awesome heads! Ready to see it fly!
me too!
Great vid as always DW... block all looks good, those heads should do the job...LOVE the look of those headers!! Thanks... wont be long now
yes the Dougs headers are awesome. I am going to do a review video on them compared to the old hedmans

Nice heads, certainly a very nice upgrade.
Should run very nice.
Thanks for sharing the process.
Have a great day.
Happy New Year.

If budget was no option I would have gone with edelbrock magnums prepped by Hughes. I was not pleased with the company we got these eq heads from
@@TheDodgeWhisperer just customer service or were there parts issues?

Yes it is 1992 tandem axle

What does porting actually do for the top end I think I know but not quite sure 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Any chance you can share the Title of that Mopar Magnum Engines book? Tried to catch it, but was a bit blurry.

From the looks of it you are using the serpentine belt setup that the magnums would have came with on production engines?
yessir. The number 1 reason to run magnum heads in my opinion

i have seen those chunks before... its usually from a leaky rad that someone tried to do a quick snake oil fix
Would you recommend a steel shim head gasket on these motors?
I just use felpro stock replacement gaskets
How do you tell magnum heads from regular heads on a big block (440)?? Thanks...
There is no difference. They all used the same castings. The difference was in HP manifolds and camshaft.

They are similar. Same heads. Duddies has a shorter duration cam though for all the torque
