The author of Hajime no Ippo is a huge boxing fan that has his own gym. A bunch of the characters are based on real boxers.
Alot of them. If not most of them are, even the "troll" boxers are also based on them, but ofc watered down and a meme version
Imagine if Takamura used it, not as a regular in his arsenal but just for show.
More than likely wouldn't be able to do to the speed it needs as well as the weight and height difference being the main component

Baki is a pretty solid anime, though I wouldn't consider it a boxing one even though it includes it in it
