I’m 55 and I bought the switch. I was a gamer in the day, snd now I feel that I need this and it would be great for my mental health; we can all use an escape. I am making note of your “cozy game” list. Thanks for the videos, it’s a tremendous help.
Hi. I'm from switzerland and actualy trying to getting better in english. So i startet to watch emglish content on youtube. And veeery often i feel frustratet because i just dont get comfortable with the sound of english language 😅 But in this case: I enjoy listening to you and i love the content!!!
That’s such a good idea to get comfortable and get used to a new language :) keep an doing what you‘re doing and it will feel much more natural on no time! Sending you best wishes from Germany 👋
Thats amazing. You should be proud of yourself! A new language is scary and intimidating. I dont know if this is helpful, but you can slow down the video to 0.5 or 0.75 to help with listening? Just an idea. Keep going and dont give up! Good job 😁
ESL teacher here. I always suggest my students watch English RUclips content they enjoy, especially to get used to different accents. You are doing extremely well!!
same here! i am from russia and you know the whole situation… unfortunately there are almost no available countries where i could speak english so i just keep on watching english youtube videos. i am pretty used to english language now but before it was difficult to understand the english speech sorry for mistakes 🥺
My favorite game I've played in 2022 is Spiritfarer. (I know it technically came out in 2020, but I haven't played it before then.) I was hesitant to get it, even though it was on sale, cause I've never been a big fan of management games. However, not only is the gameplay is super fun, but I don't know if I've ever been this emotionally taken by a story in a video game. Some of the deaths have just completely broken my heart. I also love how sudden and unexpected some of them are. It really feels like how it would play out in real life. Not to mention the game is absolutely gorgeous, and the controls are smooth as butter. I haven't finished yet, but I'm well into the game and can't wait to play more of it. I also really loved Kirby.
If you loved Spiritfarer, I would recommend Cozy Grove on PC! It has some of the same vibes and is super cozy and fun to play while helping out spirits. It also has some witchy elements too if you're into that.
My favorite this year was Wytchwood. Story, game play, and the story books style graphics are awesome. The moment of sadness I felt when I though I had completed the game was followed by pure joy when I learned that was just the beginning of the game. There was sooo much more to come. I wish it was a game that could continue to go on and on, but it does have an ending that is satisfying to achieve. I am hoping there will be more to this story with a second game at some point in the future.
Just bought wytchwood last week. When I first started I thought damn it's a grindy game(which I prefer for my xbox). I almost regretted it but kept playing and I'm really enjoying it. Haven't put it down.
Like many others, I’ve also fallen in love with ooblets this year, and was so happy to see it ranked as S tier! It’s literally everything I’ve ever wanted and more from a cozy game, I love it so much 🧡 also the rest of your rankings were spot on and helpful, so thank you for putting this together!!
I loved Potion Permit, it helped me live my dream of pharmacology and environmental remediation that I was meant to do in my PhD. But my favourite game this year has to be Dragon Quest Builders 2. It’s so ridiculous, lots of little gaming Easter eggs, and I love it so much. I think I’m getting towards the end of the storyline and I’m excited to see what happens!
Same! Discovered Dragon Quest Builders 2 this year and it absolutely ruled my year. Such an amazing game with pretty much everything you could want in it!
I love games and am often very bad at them. The way you are honest and rank things based on your enjoyment also including that you enjoy it less when the difficulty makes it stressful is really really nice. Thank you.
I'm playing Grow - Song of the Evertree and LOVING it. Agree with everyone who said you're their go-to cozy game channel. About to load up Ooblets for the winter event now...all thanks to you!
I'm also having the time of my life with the new Pokémon, so it's easily the best of the year for me. I've played quite a few on your list, the only 2 that came close were Arceus and Kirby. After fighting like hell through the bugs in Disney Dreamlight Valley on the Switch, nothing in Pokémon S/V can hurt me.
Beacon Pines is hands down my absolute favorite cozy game of the year. I want more of these characters and answers to the secrets of this adorable and messed up town! It definitely has my heart.
Beacon pines was the very first game I've ever played(new casual gamer here) and it's got such a special place in my heart! The adorable artwork, the cute squeaking talking, no other game compares!
I kinda randomly picked up strange horticulture in an eshop sale and I've fallen in love. It's like this game was made for me, the atmosphere and art style is amazing, the plants are all so cool and creative, the puzzles are fun and the story is very interesting. My only issue with the game is that there isn't more of it. My first playthrough took about 5 hours and it has more replay value than it initially seemed, but what I wouldn't do for a chapter 2
If you haven’t already you should try “A short hike”. It is amazing. As it says in the title it is a short game, but it is beautiful and made me cry at the end. I love a game where I can fly/glide and the NPCs are just so enjoyable. One of my favourite games of this year! ❤
A short hike is literally my top game ever. I have played through it 100% multiple times cause its just an amazing game to sit down and play. Also same the ending was so good!
If you haven't played Spiritfarer I definitely recommend it as a cozy game, it's super good, has made me cry a few times but it has such an amazing story. 💕
I love seeing your rank. It helps me decide on what to pick up next and what to avoid! I'm almost to the end of Wylde flowers and I'm obsessed. I have yet to play breath of the wild and bought it as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. I realize it's not a new game but different from what a usually play and I'm excited to give it a go!
My favorite game is easily Pokémon Scarlet/Violet. This is one of the best Pokémon games in the franchise in my opinion. The characters are fleshed out, the story is really amazing and emotional at times, and being able to explore the world at my own pace is very nice. The bugs are very bad, there's no arguing that, but the amount of fun I've had in this game is just... 👌
@@ohbby78 I’ve played the game and haven’t encountered any bugs honestly, maybe some super minor ones but none that are significant enough for me to remember lol.
Ooblets seemed short to me once you finished the final battle. I enjoyed it but it ended too quickly. Loved, loved, loved Wylde Flowers. It made me feel like I was in a hallmark movie and it literally made me cry during the first season. The developers recently mentioned they were going to add more content.
I love seeing Beacon Pines up there, I'm so happy it was so successful and I'm very glad I backed it in kickstarter. It has beeen a ride, seeing all the development updates and how much effort they put into making the game and seeing how much everyone loves it is so rewarding. I'm very happy for them, they made a wonderful game. Same with Ooblets, I bought it in Early Access as soon as it came out and I'm so glad people are loving it
Love this. I started watching this video and felt like I found quite a few games that I feel I'd enjoy! Such a relief, because I haven't really found an entire video that talks about games that resonates with me, thank you for this video! Goes without saying, it also gave me good insights about game that I've heard about so much! Love it!
Best game for me is a tie between Wylde Flowers & No Man’s Sky. I finished Wylde Flowers last week and I’m still thinking about the story. Everything was just so well done: the story, the gameplay, the controls, the voice acting. Superb. It is a relatively short game but even that is great imho bc not every game needs to be 100+ hours with ongoing post-game releases. Wylde Flowers had a story to tell and the devs did an amazing job creating a memorable experience. No Man’s Sky IS a game with hundreds of hours of content lmao. I love sandbox type games but I also don’t think every game needs to be one. I’ve been having a blast with it on all three major consoles and have just started an expedition on PS5. It’s what I play all day and wake up thinking of.
my fave game I have played this year is hands down Spiritfarer🥺 that game is so special, I haven’t finished it yet, but I already know that it’s one of my all time favorites and it has my heart
Love to hear your thoughts! It's your videos and streams talking about all the games you love that has gotten me to try out so many cozy games this year. Also, the community that you've created helped me get the confidence to dive into Pokemon for the first time with Pokemon Violet. 💜 P.S. I made it halfway through before losing the game!!
My favourite game this year was Darkside Detective. I just stumbled on it by accident and I'm so happy I did. It's a point and click game done in a simple pixel art style and it's just got the most amazing pop culture references in it which makes it feel nostalgic to play from day one.
@@nymeria941 it’s sooo good! I think I’m gonna play it again soon since this time of year just screams for games like that to be played and there’s a Christmas theme to one of the levels if I’m not mistaken 😂
Favorite game was Overcooked 2 (purchased on sale) and played with my entire family. It's not usually my kind of game, but the multiplayer provided days of play, laughing, arguing, and obsession to complete levels and get all the adorable chef avatars. My favorite single player game was Link's Awakening which I finally got around to playing though it was gifted to me last year. It was fun and adorable, like a cute little diorama.
im a new switch user, and your videos have been so helpful finding games that ive really enjoyed! i especially like when you do reviews on the weekly sales. thank you for your content!!
I put over 100 hours into Kittaria Fables, Bug Fables and Dreamlight Valley this year. I have been playing Violet and everything you said about the frame rate and game play was spot on. I have footage of the cliff side melting as you run by it
I love this honest review of games from 2022. I hope everyone getting a switch this holiday season watches this and takes notes! I Can't wait to see what 2023 brings us, and watching you cause Chaos on Twitch! I have so many favorites from this list. Top three would be Cult of the Lamb, Dreamlight Valley, and Pokémon Violet...oh..and.. I just lost the game.
I just started playing Beacon Pines yesterday (because I got xbox gamepass) and I expected it to be a lil emotional but a overall cozy story game(I didnt read much into it befor downloading) and once I got more threw the game the more I cried, and just like you said I could not stop. I have not got all the way threw but it has been amazing so far and so heart renching.
I'm so glad someone else agrees with me about Splatoon. I loved it for the first few weeks I was playing but trying to come back to it after a shork break it is kind of miserable to play. Granted I suck at shooter games but I am so tired of either winning by a landslide or loosing for 10 games in a row.
Ooblets was definitely my favorite and most played game of 2022, but I just found Blossom Tales 2: The Minotaur Prince and I'm loving it. Not sure when it came out, but if you haven't yet, you should definitely give it a go.
Another great video! I feel like you just organized my wishlist. Thank you! So glad I found you and congrats on your channel’s massive success! You put a ton of work in and it shows (and is paying off!) Thanks again and best wishes!
My favorite game hands down would have to be Ooblets. It's my go to game currently to play. I've spent so much time playing it since getting it and really love the cozy, cute and overall fun aspects of the game. Collecting the Ooblets, dance battles, badges, traveling to the different places, fishing and farming, there's just so much fun things to do. Also really enjoyed your video and hearing your thoughts on the games you've played in 2022. Will be checking some of them out for sure.
I’m glad I’m not the only one having that issue with splatoon 3. It’s like the match making isn’t very good, cuz there’s also been a few games where my team completely wrecked the other team too. Hopefully there’s some kind of update for it
It drives me nuts that Pokémon SV was still my favorite game despite the fact I paid full price for an unfinished game. I love that we finally have a Pokémon game with decent character customization, an actual story, and the open world experience that a game about exploration with friends has needed from the beginning! The next Pokémon needs more time, voice acting, and bring back the overworld shiny animation/sound.
I discovered Atelier games this year. Cozy, crafting and turn based combat games. Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness and the Secret Hideout is my favorite game I’ve played this year.
Currently playing Fire Emblem Three Houses (on your recommendation) and LOVE IT. The style of combat would have deterred me from playing it but I'm actually enjoying it and love every other aspect of the game. Other than that might have to be Disney Dreamlight Valley, despite the bugs I still love playing this game and cannot wait for the update.
I'm glad you gave an honest score to both Pokemon games, I still haven't played S/V as I'm waiting both for a performance patch and to get it second hand as I don't think GF deserves my money for it, but I've seen parts of you and other youtubers streaming it and in my opinion the problems go beyond performance and visual issues. The way they went about overworld encounters was IMO a huge step back from Legends Arceus, as the freedom we had about approaching Pokemon was erased, now you absolutely have to start a battle, and Pokemon don't react differently to you in the overworld as they do in Arceus, taking away the bit of personality they had managed to give them. Also giving you freedom to tackle gyms in which order you want, but not scalling the level is non sensical, as it pretty much forces you to choose a pre-determined path because the other way around it will be either too hard or too easy. Having that said I believe the game can still be fun and that's why I still want to experience it, I'm just not in a hurry to do so. As for Legends Arceus it absolutely deserves A tier, it is IMO the most ground breaking Pokemon game to date, and while your criticisms are valid I still believe it did more for the franchise than S/V and it did look and play better.
I don’t know if I can pick just one favorite! Hahah but definitely Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Cult of the Lambs, and Ooblets is up there! In 2023 I’m most looking forward to playing coral island, slime rancher 2, and Disney dream light valley! (And breath of the wild 2 if we actually end up getting it) I know the games are available now but I want to wait for the official release to get the full experience :) I love your videos! I can’t wait to see what you play next!
i took the plunge on xenoblade chronicles 3 because of your videos and your enthusiasm for the xenoblade games in general despite never having played anything like it before and it's quickly become my second favourite game of all time/the year (second only to fire emblem three houses)
Yaaasss I’m getting cozy with some donuts while I watch your vid 🤗 Edit: My favorite game of this year has been Cult of the Lamb! Omg I love the clips of your parents! So cute!!
I love that from just this video I can tell our taste in games are so similar! Even though I feel not all of them are strictly cozy games (I think?) but they're all lovely games.
I've been blessed that I have no issues with bugs or glitches in Pokemon SV. The worst it's been for me is like background npcs walking in 2fps. But same as you, I don't eat, I don't sleep, I play it at work, I play it in my car, I play it at home, I cannot stop. I'm not sure why I haven't really had any noticeable issues or maybe that's just something my brain hasn't noticed, but goddamn I wanna change my outfit so bad why do I only get 4 lol
I think I've been quite lucky compared to some people with pokemon violet cuz I haven't experienced any glitches or lagging or frame rate drops, only one crash, I love it so much that I don't even care about the graphics anymore. It's definitely an S tier game for me ^^
I WAS LITERALLY ON MY TOES WAITING FOR YOU TO MENTION POKÉMON SCARLET. When I did I couldn’t help but agree with everything you were saying I’ve been playing Pokémon since the very beginning and this is the only story BY FAR THAT MADE ME CRY!!! Such a dark Pokémon game that took a huge turn real quick, no one is expecting it either
I have had my switch for 2 years this Christmas. I got it just to play animal crossing, then 2 months ago I was a little bored and brought Wylde flowers loved it . Just finished it and really need ideas for a new game . I am 59 so need a easy old lady cosy game
Flawless ranking honestly. You're reasons for ooblets aside, video games are technically an art form and as with all art, sometimes they just resonate in the perfect frequency for you, which ooblets absolutely does. For us at least 😅
I started watching your channel for the switch content but I’m playing more games on my pc after watching your videos. Disney Dreamlight Valley is my favorite and runs well there. I hope they fix it for next year when I can get it on the switch for my kids.
also i’ve never played a splatoon game before getting splatoon 3, and it’s so hard. i got 11 kills a couple of times and felt like a god, but i agree i lose a lot and i’m not good by any means…but sometimes i’m carrying my team and i don’t know how that’s even possible.
I love your recommendations. I don’t buy a game unless I see a video from you. The game I have been playing is Cozy Grove. It’s my favorite game so far. Helps me relax during my stressful days.
that was awesome!!! I love watching your streams and enjoy your joy for all the games you play, as I'm new to all of this I really have only played DDV and have done a little bit of House Flipper but both currently on PC, I will be getting my Switch very soon and can't wait to explore so many other games on it.
@Eeowna -- Would you consider adding the name of the game on screen while you show footage or even just talk about them? It's an accessibility thing as well as making the videos more pleasant. Thanks!
They’re all in the description! And on mobile you can zoom in on the names 😊 I usually include them in the vids, but as I talk about games for so little time in this it didn’t really work for this vid
I am glad I watched this video. I have had a Nintendo Switch for a few years now, but honestly haven't gotten into playing it. I wrote down some of these games and hope to love my switch!!
Great video, helped me decide what to buy. You also expressed my exact frustrations with Dreamlight Valley. I was so annoyed by the grinding and bugs, I ended up just replaying Ooblets instead. I wish I had waited until it was free!
OMG i jumped when i heard you put No Man Sky in S tier... I bought that game like 6 years ago and it was garbage, now I totally need to retry it! You have convinced me!
I love this video so much! I enjoy a more casual puzzle, story-driven or adventure style of gaming and I always struggle to understand if I'm going to like a game or not based on reviews. This video told me precisely what I needed to know! I look forward to putting some of these games on my wishlist!
Long and confusing to this grandmother. I don't play many games and play those on PC. Unless you count solitaire or other mindless puzzles on my tablet. But this year, I helped 3 grandkids get switches. So now it's games for presents. Their mother is poor but also strict about what they are exposed to, as she should be. She is also terrified of computers. She will not allow the internet, even if she could afford it. I don't understand consoles much. My other daughter is addicted to destiny on PS. She has always dealt with her gamer son. Therefore we can easily pick out boys' games. The 7 year old girly girl is my challenge. We are not familiar with girl games for that age. I thought at first Sims4, which I play. But that has mature topics inappropriate for her age. Some games you showed have potential, and I will research more. I just don't know where to turn for advice. Sorry to be long winded, I need help, lol.
Hey! Love your channel and I watch everything that comes out since I found this channel!! I must know, have you played The Binding of Isaac at all? It's very dark, but also very cute. Very sad and very hard. But also cozy. Every time you play, it's a different game because all items are rerolled. There's millions of things to unlock - items, characters, boses. You play room by room, starting in a basement and uou just go down and down. It's so fun, so addicting, the best indy game I have ever played. I have well over 1000 hours.
love the videooo!!! also i find it kinda funny how stable my pokemon game is.. yes i do have moments where the frame rate is not the best but really not that bad or that often, and i haven't had a single crash. lucky for me.. but i totally understand your opinion.. i have seen people having alot more issues with the game than i have.. also got a swith a few months ago so i haven't played that many games, this list really helps with some games i have been looking out for to maybe buying 🤗🥳 also i think i lost the game... yeah definitly lost it.. did you lose the game? 🤭🤭🤭
I have bought so many games, BECAUSE OF YOU! And I say that as a compliment! You deserve the financial cut for convincing me to drop that money. Thank you for what you do!
Yessss agree with most of your rankings 💕 Pokémon Scarlet/Violet is definitely hard to rank. I would say a solid B. Really fun and many hours played BUT the bugs and framerate are inexcusable.
I love Pokémon so much, but I was disappointed with it both because of the graphic and performance issues, but also because I loved the way of catching Pokémon in Arceus that I was hoping it would be the new way of catching onward. Unfortunately they didn’t transfer it to SV…
No!!! I was on the fence about Beacon Pines, and it was on a 20% off sale, and it’s just sitting in my cart… I couldn’t pull the trigger. The sale ended yesterday, and NOW I find out it’s an amazing game!?
Another subscriber (you are really booming the last few months) because your video just helped my choose the best games for my daughter for Christmas! Thanks a lot for this video... and I love your very clear accent - though I can't place which regional accent that is. I have to ask, what app/website or so have you used for the nice drag and drop presentation of your rankings?
I absolutely loved XC3! Wouldn't have thought of it as a cozy game, but I guess coziness is in the eye of the player (like most things!) :) Still haven't committed to Harvestella (which a lot of people think is a Nintendo game, but is actually by Square Enix) but probably will eventually, when it goes on a good enough sale to make me feel like I'm not taking as big a risk with my gaming dollars. Thanks for the useful video :)
in truth, there's not enough cozy games to make a whole list out of them. i believe she uses cozy synonymously with cute as well. good thing a lot of companies are making more cozy games!
I love your channel and have found some really great games because of you… thank you so much for introducing me to such cozy games I never knew I needed in my life … joy
Spiritfarer! Hands down, i am still telling everyone i know who plays switch to get it! So far they are loving it too. Think there will ever be a second one or another expansion?
I really had fun with Ooblets, COTL and Temtem this year. I’m also enjoying Pokémon violet! The biggest disappointment was cat cafe manager. Ugh. But yes, I love your streams and would be interested to see you playing Temtem, if that interests you.
Hi there! Thank you for all the entertainment over the last year ☺️ I'm really surprised that it doesn't seem like you've played Tinykin. I absolutely adore the game and I think that it will definitely hit your sweet spot with cozy games. And it's on switch! 😁 Have a great day!
Hii im from Germany and recently got soo into cozy Gaming. I think my favorite Games rn are spiritfarer and breath of the wild☺️ But i have so Many More on my wishlist, i‘m dying to play. I love your videos! Your personality is just so Sweet!
Thank you for introducing me to Bear & Breakfast on the switch! The controls are definitely not for everyone. My brain makes things very complicated (I have ADHD) and I feel like this game is sort of made for people who don’t have proper circular thinking.. if that makes sense. I know that if I don’t see the Y button prompt on the hotbar, I’m in a menu / etc… But No Man’s Sky & Pokémon take the cake for me too!! Will be checking out Beacon Pines & Cult of the Lamb because of your reviews. Thank you! :)
The slightly unsettling gem Inscryption is one of the most calming and cozy games of this year. It just came out and I live in the future/Finland, so I don't know if it's already available everywhere when I write this.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is everything I ever hoped for but it's so frustrating playing it on the switch. The game randomly crashes and, tbh, most of the time it does, I don't have enough patience to load back in and start all my progress all over again. For this reason, I've not come back to it in a couple of weeks but I'm excited for the upcoming release. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet was one of my most anticipated games of the year, as a big Pokémon fan. It's such an amazing game, I love it so much and I'm having the time of my life. The different paths, the new pokémon and the characters are so well done. The glitches and graphic quality should not be there taking into account the pricing and the amount of time they spent working on the game. Even though I've not experienced a lot of bugs, I'd rather wait a couple more months or a year if it meant better graphics and not as many bugs. Regardless, I'm enjoying it a lot. No man's sky sounds like the perfect game for a sci-fi lover who would love to explore space and chill! I'll definitely look into the game. Excited to see Coral Island come to switch sometime next year. I've been playing on pc and it's far from perfect but I love it so much. The only thing keeping me from playing more is the lack of console support and that's my preferred way to play these cozy games on my PC
Great list. I agree with nearly all of your rankings, which is pretty cool. Btw, have you done the "exobiology" expedition in NMS yet? I love the jetpack you get along the way, and the final reward? That robot doggy? Omg... he is *such* a good boy! Yes, I said "he." Mine's a boy. 'Cause I said so. ;-) Oh, and I edited his egg to make him huge. So he's a giant good boy, lol... Seriously, though - so many great games on Switch this year. I wonder what the new year will bring?
28:34 one thing w splatoon, I’m a S+5 ranked player and I fully agree with the pacing in matches. Granted what im going to say is based on playstyle and I don’t know what yours is, but S3 is very against stall and defensive playstyles. S3 map design has been trimmed down (which is a huge issue) so the maps are streamlined into long straight no man lands with not much flanking opportunities as compared to previous maps. Plus in addition to the lack of “invincibility” specials (Armor, Baller, Bubbler etc) in favor of more aggressive tactical specials (drinks, vacuum, wave breaker etc), it keeps the momentum constantly going. In my experience they pair similarly skilled players pretty well, so don’t count your self short thinking you’re not as good as your opponents! You are pry an amazing player, just need to adapt to lack of defensive opportunities that Splatoon 2 meta’s dictated! Again idk what your playstyle is, but one great weapon that balances offense and defense is .52 G, gives you a wall you can use defensively and aggressively to trap or block chokes! Great fire rate/dps, could be a fun option to learn the faster playstyle S3 is demanding!
I’m 55 and I bought the switch. I was a gamer in the day, snd now I feel that I need this and it would be great for my mental health; we can all use an escape. I am making note of your “cozy game” list. Thanks for the videos, it’s a tremendous help.
I'm a gamer in my 50s too! It's hard to find other gamers my age, so I wish you many hours of fun!!
Good for you! I’m in my 60’s and love my switch. Have a great time exploring!
I'm in my 60s and love gaming. I recommend looking at the Doraemon story of season titles and the Dragon Quest Builder titles too. Many happy hours!!
40-ish gaming addict here with a gaming PC and a Switch...we're never too old! 😁
I'm in my mid 40s and love my switch. I love a lot of the games on her list.
Hi. I'm from switzerland and actualy trying to getting better in english. So i startet to watch emglish content on youtube. And veeery often i feel frustratet because i just dont get comfortable with the sound of english language 😅 But in this case: I enjoy listening to you and i love the content!!!
You are incredible!
You are doing extremely well!!
same here! i am from russia and you know the whole situation… unfortunately there are almost no available countries where i could speak english so i just keep on watching english youtube videos. i am pretty used to english language now but before it was difficult to understand the english speech
sorry for mistakes 🥺
I played Spiritfarer this year for the first time too, and I LOVED it.
Same, played this year and fell completely in love with the game. I don't to finish it heheh
If you loved Spiritfarer, I would recommend Cozy Grove on PC! It has some of the same vibes and is super cozy and fun to play while helping out spirits. It also has some witchy elements too if you're into that.
I JUST got Spiritfarer over New Year and I love it so much.
Spiritfarer legit made me cry multiple times and some of the characters sucked but hey
I am hoping there will be more to this story with a second game at some point in the future.
wytchwood is soooo good
What do you mean that completing the game is just the beginning? Did I miss something??
Just bought wytchwood last week. When I first started I thought damn it's a grindy game(which I prefer for my xbox). I almost regretted it but kept playing and I'm really enjoying it. Haven't put it down.
Like many others, I’ve also fallen in love with ooblets this year, and was so happy to see it ranked as S tier! It’s literally everything I’ve ever wanted and more from a cozy game, I love it so much 🧡 also the rest of your rankings were spot on and helpful, so thank you for putting this together!!
Potion permit has a special place in my heart this year. The character development is deep and top notch!
you wish
@@justtatianaf1998?
I Dunno I don't remember posting that@@soupoup
I loved Potion Permit, it helped me live my dream of pharmacology and environmental remediation that I was meant to do in my PhD. But my favourite game this year has to be Dragon Quest Builders 2. It’s so ridiculous, lots of little gaming Easter eggs, and I love it so much. I think I’m getting towards the end of the storyline and I’m excited to see what happens!
Very addictive gameplay, loved it
It definitely has my heart.
omg so glad i saw your comment! i need this game in my life
Beacon pines was the very first game I've ever played(new casual gamer here) and it's got such a special place in my heart!
I’m still trying to find a similar game😢. I loved it sm.
I realize it's not a new game but different from what a usually play and I'm excited to give it a go!
hopefully in the next few months I can pick it back up again and give it another go!
Yay, another Wylde Flowers fan!! I think you’ll have a blast with Breath of the Wild. It may be older but it’s 100% worth playing.
I played Wylde Flowers on my iPad. It's definitely good and the voice acting is incredible. The blacksmith is actually voiced by YTer Shelby Young!!
Completely agree!
do you think the bugs will be fixed? i really want to play one of those 🥺
I agree the game is great! I don't even think it has many bugs. Love just exploring the different towns and finding pokemons lol.
@@ohbby78 I’ve played the game and haven’t encountered any bugs honestly, maybe some super minor ones but none that are significant enough for me to remember lol.
@@Carter617 ooooh i’m so glad, i gotta go ahead and get it! now to decide between violet and scarlet 😂
Yes, it’s so amazing I played both games multiple times.
I love that game! I played it in 2023 and don’t really see it talked about too much.
Thank you :D
I just started playing Beacon Pines yesterday (because I got xbox gamepass) and I expected it to be a lil emotional but a overall cozy story game(I didnt read much into it befor downloading) and once I got more threw the game the more I cried, and just like you said I could not stop. I have not got all the way threw but it has been amazing so far and so heart renching.
Love it! You are costing me so much money. lol :) Enjoying your cozy channel lots! What did you get your phd in? Congratulations!
Chemistry :)
You put a ton of work in and it shows (and is paying off!)
Thanks again and best wishes!
Hopefully there’s some kind of update for it
Just played Beacon Pines last night after seeing this video! Absolutely loved it
Thanks for the video. I've added some of them to my wishlist ☺️ My personal favorite of 2022 is Spiritfarer. Very emotional and cozy.
Voice acting and better graphics would have made this a game of the year contender
Hi! My favourite game this year has been Atelier Sophie 2! Thanks for this video. Had a tiring day and so happy to see an Eowna video!
I still listen to the soundtrack even now I have finished it. 100% my game of the year
Yaaasss I’m getting cozy with some donuts while I watch your vid 🤗
Edit:
My favorite game of this year has been Cult of the Lamb!
Omg I love the clips of your parents! So cute!!
Not me crying about you and your family playing games on christmas 🥲 what sweet memories for you💕
I love that from just this video I can tell our taste in games are so similar!
I am 70 & also bought the switch for animal crossing. I recently started playing Cozy Grove. You may enjoy that one too.
i actually find persona 5 pretty cozy. especially after the first palace when you can make more of your own decisions aka after the tutorial
i jumped on as soon as the notification alerted me. :) Thank you for all that you do.
Ahh thank you
Flawless ranking honestly.
So excited to watch this, this year was a good year for switch!!!
Thank you 😁
She sound like she being held hostage talking about hokko life lol I love it got my sub
that was awesome!!! I love watching your streams and enjoy your joy for all the games you play, as I'm new to all of this I really have only played DDV and have done a little bit of House Flipper but both currently on PC, I will be getting my Switch very soon and can't wait to explore so many other games on it.
OMG you with your parents are ADORABLE! I love you all so much!!!
I have a few of these games on my wish list, I really love Dreamlight Valley. Wall-E sweet loveable Wall-E
I thoroughly enjoyed this. By far my favorite new RUclips channel
I bought Beacon Pines based on your recommendation in an earlier video and I LOVED it. My only wish is that it was longer.
YESS I really hope the devs do something else in this style
Your lashes are super cute! Cant wait for pikmin 4, I played through pikmin 3 times this last year and wish it was longer
Loved the vid, thanks! Weirdly I am enjoyed TPC more than TPH. You’ve convinced me to finally get Arceus.
hi! i loved the video! however, i feel like adding chapters (i think that’s what they’re called) would be nice 👍
Cult of the Lamb got me into cozy games this year- I love it!
I have bought so many games since finding your channel...thank you I guess lol 😅
love the videooo!!! also i find it kinda funny how stable my pokemon game is.. yes i do have moments where the frame rate is not the best but really not that bad or that often, and i haven't had a single crash. lucky for me.. but i totally understand your opinion.. i have seen people having alot more issues with the game than i have.. also got a swith a few months ago so i haven't played that many games, this list really helps with some games i have been looking out for to maybe buying 🤗🥳
also i think i lost the game... yeah definitly lost it.. did you lose the game? 🤭🤭🤭
Lol I was definitely getting stomped on when I started Splatoon 3. I really found myself playing the single player and salmon run more.
I loved Wytchwood, Mythic Ocean and Disney Dreamlight Valley (and also Pokémon Violet)
OMG and Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Surprised Strange Horticulture isn’t on this list! My favorite puzzle game last year
Spiritfarer!
I'm super curious - what made Cat Cafe Manager so disappointing for you? I'm only like 10 mins in but so far am not in love with it.
Hi there! Thank you for all the entertainment over the last year ☺️
I'm really surprised that it doesn't seem like you've played Tinykin. I absolutely adore the game and I think that it will definitely hit your sweet spot with cozy games. And it's on switch! 😁
Have a great day!
Thank you! :)
Cult of the Lamb is sooo good❤
My favorite is Boomarangfu! Great for non-gamer parties. Always hilarious and adorable.
Chicory and Ooblets! Got Let's Build a Zoo in the sale and really enjoying it atm
Kirby is by far the best game that’s come out on Switch this year. :) Nothing has convinced me otherwise. Easiest S tier for me.
Such a good game, just wish it was longer
Yeah, a part of me wishes it was too. It’s still about as long as every other Kirby game should be though.
The slightly unsettling gem Inscryption is one of the most calming and cozy games of this year.
It just came out and I live in the future/Finland, so I don't know if it's already available everywhere when I write this.
Not a 2022 game, but I started fire emblem three houses at your recommendation, and I am absolutely loving it. Thank you 😊
Disney Dreamlight Valley is everything I ever hoped for but it's so frustrating playing it on the switch.
