It’s because they don’t want to potentially be giving an award to a person who “hurts women”. Just in case it’s true, you can’t give him awards when he “could be guilty”. Accusations screwed up a lot for depp. At the time there was no trial, so many people thought it was possible that depp was a bad guy that hurts women

Johnny Depp is way more versatile than he's giving credit for. It's just because he's intended to play Jack Sparrow and all of his rules lately that people think that he is in versatile. Strange fact is Whitey Bulgar did not curse that much. The REAL life hit man for Bulgar saw this film and said Bulgar rarely cursed like this. Movies are forgetting that just because someone is a Monster, don't mean they have the mannerisms of a Monster. I know Jo Blo's in my town who curse like that and they're not even offenders. Most notorious bad guys have been said to be the most polite people anyone knew, give ya the shirt right off their back... And then stab ya 14 times in the back and gave ya that shirt so you'd have some class at your funeral.

Willy Winker , just another real life story that Hollywood and their writers ruin due to their own obsession with what they think is cool, and of course, what they want us to think is cool. They can't even get a real life story correct because they so desperately want to show man as either a superman, or supervillian.

Whitey cursed quite a bit. He cursed at the police when he was caught. He cursed at Weeks and Flemmi during his trial. Everything the real Kevin Weeks says does mean it's all true.

I live about a 30 minute drive from there. I also drove a truck through Bulger's neighborhood to and from the fish docks. I was not aware of the extent of his organization back then. Young and naive I guess. I may have even brushed shoulders with Whitey a couple times without recognizing him.
Well, at least I'm still here and wasn't offered a deal I couldn't refuse. Thank God.

It's Def a good scene but they are all for sure gutter rats. I see the same with the Sopranos to where I can't hold any sympathy for the characters because they are all a bunch of murdering SOBs. If you hang out with folks like that, all you have to do is look at them wrong and they'll try to kill you. They are like children with no emotional control and an obsession with their desperate attempts to be the tough guy since they can't succeed in life without being criminals.
When I was a teen I may have had some empathy and fascination with mafia/thug life goons like these characters but now I just wonder why so many shows have derelict jerks like this all the time.

I spent literally years wondering this because I didn't give a shit about the Porsche design's he had but the frame style with the gapped paddles bridge and unique color tint was like a brown with a hint of dark green. I spent hours trying to find the exact kind and actually still have the text document somewhere on my pc. I narrowed it down to 8 total of I should say I found 8 total that matched unfortunately the ones that matched everything even the print on the side that's blurred I'm assuming intentionally because 4k didnt help. If you google it or ask most people they'll just be like oh ray ban but....no

Where did they get those late 1970's Chevy's that didn't have the bumpers completely rotted away? Those things barely lasted until the payment booklet was empty, let alone forty years! And those 4-door sedans are hardly classics that collectors and enthusiasts would have preserved. Hollywood must have some awesome inventory of prop vehicles!

The guy riding shotgun, he does an awesome job playing a sideman for a complete psycho.
This is exactly how some humans would learn to act and behave living with someone like this.
They would learn to keep their mouth shut and keep their eyes turned away, as to not get involved in situations where he's not needed and also attempt to ignore all the bad situations they get into.
It shows he has a conscious, but at the same time lives the life of a gangster, commiting crimes and murder and just trying to through each day alive
