    This video is what made me pull the trigger on this mixer and why I use it at every event. The pure versatility of this mixer is unmatched! Once you dial it in, the sound quality is fantastic. I recorded lectures and shows that came out close to studio quality......

    The QSC TouchMix videos are very well done, and informative. I realized that I needed one of these mixers. I purchased a TM-8 for processing my drumset. It operated for almost a year, but then developed several issues. When powering my TM-8 the headphones had no sound, the four aux outs displayed full red on their outputs. One of the mixer channels was also full red, and so were the two main outs. I had NO efx, comp or eq. Powering the TM-8 off and back on would result in fixing the problem, but not every time. I shipped the mixer back to QSC and the tech said he replaced the SD card. Now it’s STILL doing the same thing! Latest from QSC tech said he’s going to replace the board. Sucks for me. I wonder what the failure rate is on these products.

    QSC's first powered speaker wasn't the K series, it was the HPR series. The HPR series actually sounded better than the first K series but didn't have the same power handling.

      I have a pair of HPR and K’s. HPR are heavy so I now use them only for rehearsal. K12.2 for live with TouchMix . Very clean sound.

    These are such great mixers. I've had the chance to use the TouchMix-16 hands on for a few months before the new Firmware 3.0 release and it was very impressive. However, we used up all those channels very quickly and now have moved up to their TouchMix-30Pro. WOW! I use this every sunday at church and I've used this to multitrack record on PC and a MAC. A 30 channel recording studio thats extremely portable and able to track vocals with dsp built into the mixer so they can give their best performance. love it. I believe that you can now multi-touch on the screens with the TM8 and TM16 like you can with the TM30 and I believe that the newest firmware update on the TM16 and 8 gives you functions that were only found on the TM30 like RTP. Im not sure since I haven't used the TM16 with the newest firmware and only have the 30 now. Have you noticed anything new with your mixers with the latest firmware upgrade?

    Hi, can i ask if touchmix 8 has the copy and paste function? I cant seem to find it. I'm beginning to think its limited to the touchmix 30 pro?
    Thanks again

      @DcSoundOp  Год назад +1

      Hi, thanks for the question! You can download the Touchmix 8/16 control app and check it out (it is different than the TM30 control app). When you're on the main screen, in the bottom right hand corner you'll see the Copy and Paste buttons. Let me know if you have any other questions. All the best.

    Hello guys, anytime I record live with a 64G flash drive, there's always a glitch somewhere in the song.
    A lil part cuts off and jumps to another part of the song.
    I tried 3 different flash, same result?

      Hi Femi, are you using an approved drive from this list - www.qsc.com/resources/software-and-firmware/touchmix/qualified-hard-drives/ - also see the note about using 'thumb drives' or usb stick drives as they will work for some things and not others on the TM platform. Have you contacted QSC yet for tech support?

    Holy cow. This mixer is a great Behringer X-Air replacement but the $900 price tag just scared me. I love my two X-Air mixers but sometimes I just don't wanna have to use the iOS app and I miss having physical buttons and knobs. You're right about trying to be precise with touchscreens, it's impossible. Trying to get the panning knob exactly to where I want to with a tablet is annoying. I'm actually shocked that QSC didn't include a multitouch screen. 4 AUX outputs are dope. Comes in handy for monitors and in-ear transmitter

      George Moore This definatley looks like it could be a solid competitor, especially because the tablet controlled X-Air is $450 and it still needs an iPad.

      Curious, I have a behringer x18, my only downer is the 6 aux out. They were not as powerful as I hoped. I had to buy a 8ch monitor to link it to the Behringer. Does anyone know if the 4 Aux out on the QSC don’t require another external monitor to bring up the sound??
      Thanks!!

    Can I program this mixer with MicroKontroller 8?
    I basically want to Motof XF 4 line out and Korg M3 4 line out
    XF M3 1/2 = Instrument Tracks
    XF M3 3/4 = Purcussion / Folley Tracks
    I simply want the percussion tracks to have certain compression settings independently of the instrument outs, and the instrument tracks to have 80hz HPF so kick is more pronounced.

    • @DcSoundOp
      @DcSoundOp  3 года назад +1

      Hi, thanks for the question! if you are taking 4 channels of line outputs from your keyboards, you can absolutely mix them through a touchmix 8 and process each independently. The Touchmix 8 however does not work as a USB interface to connect to your computer though, it's really a live performance mixer. Let me know if you've got more questions!

      As far as I know, only the Touchmix 30 Pro allows Midi over USB to do that, though the documentation is not super current. It might be worth trying a USB foot controller if you have on on hand to see what it does with yours. Not sure if they've updated the firmware to allow it in the smaller models or if it is even possible. Thanks for the message Damian.

      The opportunity to have a Ui24 for an extended test hasn’t really come up since my Ui12 video. It’s not high on the request list from viewers, so buying one hasn’t been a priority over other more current gear. That said, I’d love to for sure. I really did like that little mixer & hope the 16 & 24 are as much of an improvement as everyone claims.

    Bringing QSC people up to date.
    I have been using the QSC TM-8 L282100C1 daily in my home studio.
    Several weeks ago, I sent Kirk Fyvie files downloaded to an email at his request from L282100C1.
    It was my understanding that he (Kirk) was forwarding those files to whatever persons in whatever department at some undisclosed QSC location to examine, in order to determine exactly what the problem (FAILURE) is with BOTH of my TM-8 mixers.
    Today, I fired up L022100RQ just to see how it was doing. This mixer also has the SAME FAILURE as L282100C1.
    I’m not sure what you people are thinking, but I can assure you that I am most angry person you know. You have succeeded in that. Why don’t you succeed in presenting excellent CUSTOMER SERVICE instead?
    Tell me WHY you have NOT sent me two brand new fully functioning, and inspected, TM-8 mixers? I don’t care if you repair these two, I don’t care if you display them in the QSC hall of fame product museum. I don’t care if they get implanted in Joe Pham’s colon. I just want what you advertise as two non-defective QSC Touch Mix 8 mixers. What the hell is it going to take?

      @@DcSoundOp - your presentation was great just too quick for a novice sound man. Maybe steps to progressively make the most of this mixer in a live application. Do this first, then look at this, then go here and check etc. That’s what I was hoping for. I have 4 K.2’s, subs and a pair of those earlier speakers with double speakers in each. All great stuff so I bought the TouchMix but it’s overwhelming. I went back to analog mixer until I understand it more. Thanks.

      @@johndavis3504 Hey John, don’t be so hard on yourself. It’s never too late to learn & if you’ve got things going on an analog console, I promise you already know what you’re doing. This console has aux sends just like an analog console. You have more flexibility in how they work here, but the same basic principals apply. So you can use aux 1 for monitor mix 1 and give that to your first musician, and so on with the other musicians. Is this how you’re set up on the analog console? Let me know how you’re doing your monitors currently, or what you’d like to improve on and I’ll help get you pointed in the right direction. With a bit of practice you’ll have a lot of fun with the touch mix.
