    *This battery reconditioning program exceeded my presumptions. It worked on any drill battery, several AA and AAA batteries, **batery.repair** and any camera battery. The steps are simple and the act itself is exciting to do. No matter what type of battery you`ve got, it is sure to function again!*

    Clever use of the base section of the battery to finish off the battery connector, made it look more professional than some of the commercial offerings

    Good idea. But a miniature switch can be added in between plastic sheet and connector, to make it more useful.

    Why there so much hate? Yes these aren't super useful and the soldering technique could be better but al least he can ACTUALLY solder and yes these are somewhat useless but this guy is a genius and I hope he sees this. NewKew I'm an 11 Yr old minor Electronic Engineer from Australia and I looked up to you and what you did and you are amazing and if you see this please respond and don't listen to those horrible haters plz make more videos like this. I don't want those motors, I just never saw them blue. I'd preffer more especific motors, that are much better. 9v's don't last that much in my experience

    what size is the small LED ? It has to be able to take the 9 Volts DC battery ! You must also know what wires to connect to the resistor wire. Plus or minus, Gold wire side to plus ? Or it will burn out fast ! Or almost as soon As you connect the battery. Do you have a wiring diagram for us ? Thanks, it would really help save LEDs .

    • @yshouldicar3
      @yshouldicar3 8 лет назад +9

      ^ This is why I don't like these types of channels and videos. It's so easy to make a mistake without more information. If you're going to "teach" someone these projects actually teach them! For example, what voltage was the motor rated at? What was the forward voltage of the LED? Why choose a 1K resistor? If you don't answer these questions for people they might end up making something that doesn't work and be put off becoming a maker in the future.
      Also, his soldering technique was wrong; the solder joints were 'dry' because all of the flux had evaporated.
      However, I do encourage people to make videos teaching others how to make things for yourself. It's just that sooooooo many channels do it badly.

    • @triumphmanful
      @triumphmanful 8 лет назад

      Yes , these guys really leave out a lot of important info ! But you-tube doesn't care. People can get burned and hurt too. All the important info is missing. Polarity, proper plus and minus alignment and more! Everyone is an expert so it seems on here. Freedom to screw up is the norm, but no one is screening these clowns ! FYI

    IT HAS HUGE VOLTAGE SAG!

    • @DwarfNebula_
      @DwarfNebula_ 8 лет назад

      +neur0n No, when the battery's are parallel connected the voltage will be the same, when you connect them in series the voltage will be 9v (6*1,5v).

    • @zZera

      I guess 1.5v doesn't have enough current!

    • @olachus
      @olachus 8 лет назад

      1.5V is below the limit for most LEDs. You need 2.6-3.6V depends of the LED type. Usually, all will light up on 3V, even those made for 2.6V (but not to power them for a long time).

    Dude, you need to invest in a pair of wire cutters and learn how to solder. You heat the connection and apply solder to the heated connection, not blob it on the iron and smear it on the cold connection.

    • @brancarr1

      Rich Booth Well... It depends. Because there are some components that if you heat them you destroy them. Some small switches, for example. The same with lithium batteries (18650). It's too dangerous to heat them.

    Nice tips :) You soldering techniques could be better ;)

    • @kg4boj
      @kg4boj 8 лет назад +27

      The soldering "technique" couldn't be worse, all of those joints are "cold joints" to get solder to adhere properly you NEED to have both the wire/component and the other part to get to the melting point of solder and NEVER let them move while cooling. A good joint will be shiny and not a dull grey like the idiot in this video made them. This must be the first time he ever picked up a soldering iron. If not, that is truly sad.

    • @mesboys8b66
      @mesboys8b66 8 лет назад +1

    • @wackowacko8931
      @wackowacko8931 8 лет назад +2

      The method he uses can result in cold solder joints. You always heat the material first, then apply the solder. He might want to take a quick refresher course in soldering,

      Assuming a 3 v LED and an alkaline 9 V battery which has a capacity of 550 mAh:
      The current will be: (9 V - 3 V) / 1000 ohm = 6 mA.
      The time will be: 550 mAh / 6 mA = 91,7 h
