The Loewe petal basket is beautiful and sits close to the body, not like the stiffer basket bags. I bought the Anagram medium basket with black trim last year for that reason plus the fact it has two straps for shoulder or hand carry and it looks great in the city too. I said I’d never pay big bucks for leaves but I did and no regrets. Love the Celine pochette but too short to go cross body on me which is what I want from this style. They have a teen size panier basket bag with pink trim which looks adorable. I have 3 raffia bags and need no more but very tempted.
you should look at the Loewe Puzzle totes, both in rafia and leather if you are in Spain. Also the new Flamenco. Much cheaper than USA and the colors are fabulous and very versatile with the donut, crossbody straps and the clutch option. Major savings on that one.
I just saw Cassie’s video talking about the new flamenco with the chain. Will definitely check it out while I’m there. I saw the raffia puzzle tote at Bergdorf’s the other day. Wasn’t my favorite. I do like the leather version though.

I think it depends on whether you live in a northern climate or a southern one. I live in Toronto, and can use a summer bag about 3 months/year, and it has to be a secure city bag. If I lived in tropical Australia, I would have a slew of raffia bags. Fendi baguettes are a summer/tropical climate bag because they are an under-the-arm shoulder bag....they don't fit well over a coat. I'm keen to see what you find in Spain....I'm headed to Austria in June, and will be looking!

Great video! I already shopped for summer bags - I ended up getting the Saint Laurent Kate 99 in raffia and the Dior book tote in the plan de Paris print. I love both! I guess I started looking too early because many of these had not come out yet. Although I am 100% happy with my choices. And I think the canvas in the book tote makes the bag summery but I think the map print will be good year round. I’m making a mental note to wait until May if I’m shopping for a summer bag in the future

I agree with you about the elephant and the leather anagram piece 🤔😒. There are a lot more, Prada has tons in raffia and a few in wicker one specific bag is the wicker basket with tan leather (not the hobo) and it is gorgeous and less heavy and smaller than the LV. I love the Prada ones (raffia and wicker) the LV wicker I also missed it last year, but I am doubtful about the one this year as the handle is not breaded and just simple. Also the LV was gold last year and this year is tan like the leather color, so I am not quite sure though. I only have one I bought last year from Givenchy (a mini Antigona) and would love to add a wicker one this year! Let us know what you decide! Btw, when are you going to Spain?
