First of, that would be just about the lossiest way of boosting voltage, assuming you got the KV rating of both the 12V and 24V motor right, taking into account friction - thereby actually producing 24V on the output. One thing is for sure, feed that thing 50W and you'd be lucky to get 5W on the output... o.O Next, after questionable soldering all over, I started tutting to myself when I saw him essentially insulating the passive heatsink of the DC-DC converter with copious amounts of hot-glue, only to start laughing out loud outright when he mounted a BATTERY right on top of it to perfect the insulation. People, please, PLEASE do not be fooled - this isn't GENERATING power. This is CONSUMING power. The ONLY function of this contraption is converting electricity into heat and noise. Someone didn't do their research on perpetuum mobile... smh

You need to add a solar panel to keep charge. At current state it will just drain battery, but the panel will keep it charged and for sure you will need bigger battery or more if u plan on using it for the night
You could just connect the inverter to the battery directly,as still the motor won't generate much power, cuz you need to spin it at the rpm it spins if powered at 24V...

I have assembled and operated this setup. The results are horrible and negative. The source motor 775 has to supply all the power to the system and thus gets very hot in just few minutes. Thus I have to close this setup and think about magnets to spin the shaft and avoid the 775 driver. I was actually making a wind turbine and thus I am trying these unnecessary projects. This setup has far more power losses than you think. Finally you will find that you are not getting any power output out of this system.

Simple way to understand that diode will work on one way and second thing it will convert ac to dc as half wave rectifier that will charge up the battery so no power is consumed by the big motor
It only allows current flow in one direction, but since they took the guts out of the big motor and shoved a battery pack inside of it, it just has to 'work' long enough to make this farce of a video.

remove the battery after starting .... if the system is balanced consumption / production it remains in motion but stops immediately. in that case with an inverter it is the battery that keeps everything in motion until it is discharged. the system cannot recharge the battery at the same time and keep an inverter running which consumes a lot. too much energy consumed and produced in surplus by the generator
My husband made one and does exactly like you said a balanced system when he shuts it off he has not gotten and inverter yet but what he does no is that a solar panel is needed to keep the charge if not ur just drainin the battery of course you will get light but wen the batteru is dead ur stuck, to keep it goin he said the panel will keep it charged but you would need bigger battery or batteries to keep power at night. He used two motors from walmart portable air compressors we didnt need, they push 80psi and he already fried some lights. He said the wires were to thin and the motora are generating alot of power. The diode helps he said but to stay charged no matter what u need a panel

@@CREATIVITYDIY7777 sorry if my comment was little gross, but paying attention to your video, clearly looks you need more temperature wen applying soldering wire, a more powerful soldering iron is the answer, melts soldering wire faster and Don't overheat components, also try applying some welding to the battery terminals and the connection wires before weld them together
Hlo sir I maked it good but I changed some items. How to check the out current I tried to check with multimeter but when I put two pins multi meter it's Stops spinning. I too have this problem, solution is if the motor efficiency of output is 12v then u should be in the range of 12 to 14 to run the shaft then there will be no slowing down in it..
Hello! If you make a generator so you can run it and charge the battery at the same time, right? If you run like that, can you use a large load capacity?
No... running this for maybe an hour even without any load will just drain the battery. this set up is just a conversion from 12v DC battery to 220V AC. i guess its much more practical to just plug the 12v battery directly to the inverter.
After some time battery will dead or discharge be coz motor can not generator many amp to charge battery and inverter also ,and motor also use it will not success along time only few minutes work

I bought these 775 Dc motors to do what you did but when I hocked up my yinlong LTO 2.4v battery would not turn the motor over?
It's a 12v motor. That battery is 2.4v 40ah. You need 5 of those batteries at least
